We had interviewed 3 other agent/brokers. We almost made the mistake of not hiring Mark and Lisa, going with another agent. Not due to any fault of their's, mainly because my travel schedule didn't allow me the time to meet with them in person and I was only able to interview with them on the phone. This caused two issues. They didn't get to see our home right away, and I was not able to interview them in person the same way i did the others. Fortunately for us they stayed in contact with us without being pushy or over selling their services but because they could see our house was not on MLS which meant we had not hired anyone yet. Once my travel schedule allowed me to meet with them at our home we had no doubt they were the right fit for our needs. Finally we felt confident enough to sign a listing agreement with someone. Once past that process we loved the way the two worked together. Each had their own style and role. They both kept us very informed, not overly i might add. Also their actions proved what they said. I always felt that they had our best interest in mind. They allowed us to make our own decisions on how we wanted things. Instead of disagreeing or trying to steer us into "their way" they would offer suggestions and advice that would help us make better decisions as to what we should do. They always did what they said they would do, and more. They were always available for us whether on phone or at our home. They set a schedule with us at the beginning and stuck to it. We, not them, needed to alter a few things on the schedule and they accommodated us very professionaly and still hit our deadlines. We had two offers within 4 days of listing it on MLS one of which we accepted. Now into the actual sale process which would normally give me worry and anxiety with every contact with my agent in past houses I've sold. They had things so organized that fortunately i didn't have to experience that with them. They either had the answers to my questions right then and there, or if they didn't they got on it and back to me so fast i didn't have time to worry about it. I not only highly recommend them but i will be using them on the purchase when i reinvest the money into my next house. I will also be using them to sell any real estate I own in the future. Lisa and Mark are the dream team! They are both extremely nice and were always on top of the latest house we were interested in. They reviewed all of the disclosure packages we requested (it took us a few houses until we finally got one), and would interpret and educate us on the severity of necessary repairs - i.e. a money pit or totally manageable. Having a team work for you is probably the best choice you can make because one of them was always available to talk through the latest home or write up an offer at a crazy late hour. Personally, one of my favorite things about the way they work is that they never tried to sell us a house or suggest we write an offer at a price we were not comfortable with. When we weren't having luck after a couple tries, Lisa proposed a couple different areas or housing options; we considered them but ultimately kept at our original pursuit and they continued to be completely supportive. They were also always upfront with what we should expect, when we could expect it, and would always give us status updates before we even had to ask - if good communication is important to you, they take the cake! Lisa's many years in real estate really showed in discussions and negotiations with other agents- I know she spent a lot of time making connections with all of the Listing agents whose properties we made an offer on, and I believe this ultimately helped us get into our new home.
