I was helped by Robert today on June 2 2020. Really helpful- he came via Geico Roadside Assistance to tow my car to a dealership, but discovered that my battery was either bad or dead. After that he jump-started me and directed me to the nearest store that would replace my battery for free if I bought one. I'm a total novice about cars and had no idea about stuff like that; chances are he saved me a couple hundred dollars and a week without my car, just by taking a few minutes out of his work to help someone out. Randy Mitchell Towing was recommended by State Farm to tow a family member's vehicle to a local dealership. The driver did not deposit the car keys or the vehicle as directed. This required follow up. When my family member contacted Randy Mitchell Towing to inquire about where the vehicle and keys were, the dispatcher used inappropriate language and even called her a bitch... I am not sure how addressing a customer in this fashion accomplishes anything. These people are horrible. Only reason they were called was because the insurance company called them. The took all day and they were not far away. This company sucks! I was told 60 minutes to wait. I finally called because it was taking so long and the female on the phone was nasty to talk to. She said we said 90 minutes. Told her that it was supposed to be 60 min and she got nastier. Tow guy called and said he would be there sometime soon. Would not tell me how long. Asked where he was and he told me it was none of my business. Really????? What jerks! Had a great experience with this company! Our car tire picked up a large nail on the way to the airport, and parked with a flat. We were assigned this company through our roadside assistance program. Between calls and texts, they made sure we were in a safe place, and communicated beautifully. They estimated a two hour ETA, which is completely understandable, as communities around our area are pretty far apart. They called and texted to stay in touch, and showed up within the hour. The tow truck driver was kind and knowledgable and took extra care in loading our car. Highly recommend these folks. read more

The tow truck driver arrived way ahead of the scheduled ETA which was awesome. The driver was extremely professional and friendly. I had another company (TRIESCHOCK TOWING) out prior to Randy Mitchell's and there driver was not that friendly and wasn't even there a full minute before he said he couldn't do it and he had a flat bed truck. So when Randy Mitchell towing arrived also with a flat bed I was nervous but the driver put me at ease right away. He made sure I got my car to my mechanic's shop. Also he was letting me know what he was doing and why each step of the way which I thought was pretty cool. Driver was unprofessional, very rude! He attempted to drive my 2016 Hyundai sonata on 2 flat tires. He was a unexperienced driver that was sent!!! There was plenty of room for him to reach the vehicle he didn't even try. When I called the customer service number they were very rude and told me to call another provider. Don't trust them with towing. Had a paid request to tow a truck, they accepted the contract for, gave a time when they won show and they never showed. They didn't bother to call until there was 20min til the impound yard was to close which ended up costing me another 50$ storage fee. I am a traveler for work. I was in Johnstown PA where Avis Car rental scheduled a replacement auto to be switched out for me due to tire issues. They had a new rental from Pittsburgh airport scheduled to be shipped out via a towing service and pick up and replace. To put it shortly Avis screwed up the order with their third party contract management company and left me without a car. Randy and his admin. Ashley worked with me and Avis for over 4 hrs trying to get Avis to release a rental to them as they promised me earlier in the day . I was on the phone with Avis myself trying to resolve this issue but Ashley made it happen. Six hours later Paul the driver showed up at my hotel with a car!! A big shout out to Randy and his team for pulling this Avis screw up out for me. Mitches towing towed my car to the dealer for me on a sunday. The guy was awesome , he took every step he could while it was raining and cold out. Not one flaw or issue. He was so nice and listened to every worry I has since I don't like people touching my car. If I could give it 0 stars I definitely would have. They gave me a 90 minute window and never showed up. I called asking for an ETA and was told that the tow truck was on it's way and that he would be there. I understood because of the rush hour traffic. 30 minutes later, and still a no show,the tow truck driver called me saying that it was going to take him an extra 25-30 minutes. At this point I am fuming! 45 minutes he finally gets there,but drives right past me,doesn't even stop and then turns around 5 minutes later. Once he arrived,he didn't say a single word to me,didn't apologize and seemed annoyed. He also purposely took his good old time with hooking my car up. 25 minutes later,we finally take off to the mechanic shop. Once we got to my mechanics shop,he was talking crap to someone through his wireless headphones. He failed miserably at trying to keep his entire conversation about my fiance and I discreet. on 1/9/17 Called my KIA roadside assistance and this was the company they sent to pick up my car. I called them at 7pm. i had to pay them over the phone $158.00 or they would not come....so i did and i was told they would be to me by 8:45 pm. i called Randy (the number of the person that i was given from the roadside assistance people) he seemed unfriendly, like i think i was bothering him while he was out doing something and he really did not care. he said the driver had other things to do and that he would get to me soon. mind you it was 25 degrees out side. i was sitting in my car wrapped in a blanket and told him as such and he still didn't really care. luckily a friend picked me up and brought me to get my rental at 8:30. so i called Randy back to tell him i was getting a ride, again seeming annoyed, he told me to just leave the keys on the front tire and they would call me when they get the vehicle. ok, well 9:30 rolls around (mind you they told me 8:45 at first) and i call randy again, sounding even more annoyed, he said look the driver is still not done with the other calls and hed get to me when he can. i asked to be called when they pick up my vehicle and that i did not care what time it was. well i woke up in the am and no calls, no texts and no emails. so i called my shop and they said they had my car. so im sorry i paid you alot of money, i was stuck in the cold and this man had the WORST customer service and did not even give me the call that i requested and i paid them $158!!!!! i will NEVER use this company again if my car breaks down! i will request another company! your call if you wanna but i won't shitty customer service! read more
