We couldn't find the wrench for the locked lug nut so he had to tow us to the Subaru dealer to get a new tire. Even though I pulled the car into a difficult spot Bob was able to get to our car to tow it. He was very polite and was very kind to my disabled daughter. They are incompetent. I wrecked my car and they were to tow it to a repair shop. TWO DAYS LATER the repair shop called to say they never received the car. Then when I called Mitchell's the lady who answered the phone was rude and acted like I was stupid. She was refusing to admit her driver screwed up and kept saying the guy at the repair shop just wasn't looking hard enough. My car insurance offers roadside assistance, they dispatched Randy's at 7:30pm. I received a text estimates for ETA. Service showed up around 9:30pm to tow my vehicle (because that's all I could really request from the insurance online options- there were not fields to communicate other requests). I was happy to not have to automatically tow away my vehicle, that the service tech was open to trying an alternate option of cleaning my battery corrosion off and retightening the batter connections. Trying this first before towing had my battery problem fixed in 10-15 minuets. read more

My experience was tremendously good my tow truck driver Richie was friendly courteous helpful he even stopped to help an accident victim who hit a deer before he got to me. My car was being towed, and when my wife called to ask for a call to where the car can be put the woman on the phone was extremely rude and disrespectful to her. When I followed up myself (because my app said it was completed) the conversation quickly turned into an argument due to the same unprofessional attitude. Not only did they NOT text me to tell me they were late but when I called them after 2 hours they said " Oh he's on his way NOW ". So you are just going about your day and it just happens to be a bad day at that. Driving on down the highway and then all the sudden your bad day goes to a worse day when your engine decides to blow up. Mind racing you frantically attempt to make your way across three speeding lanes of traffic to at least put your vehicle at ease. After all that, you start to make all your phone calls. It's kind of a mind numbing experience to have. You are basically on autopilot at that point because you feel as if you have repeated the same thing over and over again to several different people. Finally everything is in order and a tow company is on their way to get you off the road and to a garage. Granted road side assistance set me up with Randy Mitchell Towing, but I am so grateful that they did. The initial place I was to be towed to could not take me, so a quick call to redirect where I was going was all it took. The nice lady on the other end said it was going to be no problem to switch my destination, and she didn't lie. Next is what I always feel is an awkward part, having to wait for the tow truck and then ride in the tow truck. Waiting is just so bad in and of itself, but when the driver showed up he immediately put me at ease by starting to crack jokes. Mentally exhausted from all that happened already, a joke was exactly what I needed. With my mind being numb I think the driver picked up on that and kept me occupied with conversation on the way there. I really appreciated that, it was a bright spot in a bad situation. I will start out by stating that they arrived on time. But that was pretty much the ONLY thing that they did that I was happy with. My rear driver tire shredded on the side of McKnight Rd on the way to work this AM causing it to be dangerous to operate. I called this (Randy Mitchell) tow company as they were one of the few open during the COVID-19 epidemic. Upon arrival the drivers first words were "give me your keys and $85" ...a little jarring & up front, but okay He refused to get out of the car & only rolled the window down half way to accept the payment. Once he did, I stated that the car was to be taken to Discount Tire, less than a mile away. I told him I had the address and asked if I would be able to get a ride with him. The drive shouts "NO PASSENGERS" rolls up his window & drives away without receiving the address of the tire shop he was supposed to go to, without telling me any information, & without giving me any sort of receipt for our earlier transaction, which I wanted for insurance purposes since my insurance company demands one for reimbursement. I now have NO WAY of being reimbursed because the driver drove off without any warning. If the company has a no passenger policy, it should have been stated during my initial phone call to order the tow truck. No one mentioned anything about a no passenger policy & the driver didn't mention anything about it until he was more or less already driving away from me. The driver left me to walk alongside McKnight Rd during high traffic times without my jacket on a cold morning (as it was in my car & the driver left without allowing me to gather any of my personal items). When I arrived at the Discount Tire Shop, even the workers there commented on how unusual & rude it was for the driver to have left me on the side of the road. All in all, the driver was extremely rude & left me in a fairly sh*tty situation. I can't imagine if the tire shop had been multiple miles away or on the other side of town. Luckily I am able bodied & was able to walk the mile to the tire shop, but had I not been I wouldn't have been able to afford an Uber & would have been quite literally stranded on the side of the road. That's pretty terrible service if I say so myself. Actually it's disgusting customer service in my opinion. You don't desert your customers on the side of the road. The ironic part of the drivers complete lack of customer service is that I WAS going to give the driver a tip for coming out to help me during all of the COVID-19 panic & understanding that work is short for a lot of people right now...but he was a complete jerk!!! Showing up on time doesn't get you a gold star when everything else is terrible! Definitely DO NOT recommend this company. I'd say the only reason to ever use them is if you're absolutely desperate. Ps they're an UPFRONT CASH ONLY business, don't get caught off guard. I had to wait 5 minutes for the banks to open to get my cash for the driver & he threw a whole fit about it. I needed a tow and set one up through my insurance company. I was also charged for the tow and with that I answered the questions they asked. The driver called and didn't say who or what they were calling for and when I asked what was needed he became frustrated with me an hung up. Just awful. Got assigned to them by State Farm roadside assistance (operated by Agero Roadside Connect) after I busted a tire and its rim on a nasty highway pothole. Mitchell Towing turned what should have been a short, simple tow to the nearest still open tire shop into an ordeal that spanned over 4 hours long, consuming my entire night and then this morning getting the new tire, when I was supposed to be at work. They originally gave me a 90 minute window for arrival. They did a no call, no show for even this generous allotment. After 100 minutes of waiting I called them. They said a truck was on the way, but I later found out that this was a lie. They promised arrival in another 30 minutes, and this time (well over 2 hours in) was another no call, no show appointment. I called Roadside Connect and complained and they set a third meeting time, 20 more minutes in the future, which they also missed. Eventually, 10 minutes later, the driver finally showed up with zero apologies to offer for making me wait well over 3 hours at that point. The driver didn't know how to hook up my hybrid car to his flatbed truck so it could be lifted up, being unable to find the parts he needed. So then I had to drive it on to the truck myself, but not before the driver was done chatting to someone else who wanted him to help with their car, ignoring me for several more minutes while they chatted. The service is terrible. They took more than twice the allotted time to reach me. There was zero communication from them. They promised to call me back several times and never did once. I called for a tow today for my motorcycle. I was pinned in a crazy position. Then my bike was not starting, just clicking. They showed up in 15 minutes.
