I recently used Randy Mitchell towing as part of my Mini Roadside Assistance Plan. My driver called ahead to provide an ETA and was very courteous, and careful with loading my vehicle on the flatbed. It was delivered to the correct service address without issue. read more

While the driver was nice, every other thing about this experience was awful. Took well over 2 hours past the original expected time. I called a few times for an updated ETA after being told "30 minutes" multiple times and the lady was extremely rude and gave me a bunch of irrelevant generic excuses. Would never in a million years recommend this place. read more

Our car got a flat on the way to a doctor appointment. I contacted Subaru roadside service and they contacted Mitchell Towing. Bob showed up with the tow truck within 10 minutes. We couldn't find the wrench for the locked lug nut so he had to tow us to the Subaru dealer to get a new tire. Even though I pulled the car into a difficult spot Bob was able to get to our car to tow it. He was very polite and was very kind to my disabled daughter. We were very lucky that Bob got the call to help us. Dave H read more

Very accommodating. Kept updating on when they would be arriving. When they arrived in font of my door the driver called to notify me.

They are incompetent. I wrecked my car and they were to tow it to a repair shop. TWO DAYS LATER the repair shop called to say they never received the car. Then when I called Mitchell's the lady who answered the phone was rude and acted like I was stupid. She was refusing to admit her driver screwed up and kept saying the guy at the repair shop just wasn't looking hard enough. I had to threaten to call the police to get them to figure out where they took my car!!! They had dropped it off at another shop miles away!! NEVER USE THEM!! read more

I waited over 5 hours for them to come and tell me they couldn't tow my car. They kept delaying and giving me more excuses. Found a towing company the next day who took my car in less than 10 minutes. I have no idea what the delay was and what the actual issue was. Even the dealership said they hate dealing with these guys. read more

This is by far the most unprofessional company.I have had the unfortunate sea of dealing with not only have I had to wait around three and a half 24 hours for a chill truck to never show up their dispatched person is very unprofessional, does not know how to talk to people and then you have a torture a guy.Who's not answering his phone? This place will never get my business. And you will be reported to the bbb. Please believe that. read more

I'd give NEGATIVE stars if I could. Got set up through Erie insurance for a tow. Initial time frame was 72-120 minutes. I called at two and a half hours. The lady that answered told me he was stuck in traffic and would be another 40 minutes. I waited another 2 hours and NEVER SHOWED. UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! read more

They are the must incompetent people. should not be in business if you don't know how to jump start a truck. All they had to do was connect the jumper cable to the truck and wait a few minutes but they couldn't do it. read more

Canceled my flat tire request because I was instructed, by saftey patrol, to call and get an ETA due to me being on the turnpike.

My car insurance offers roadside assistance, they dispatched Randy's at 7:30pm. I received a text estimates for ETA. Service showed up around 9:30pm to tow my vehicle (because that's all I could really request from the insurance online options- there were not fields to communicate other requests). I was happy to not have to automatically tow away my vehicle, that the service tech was open to trying an alternate option of cleaning my battery corrosion off and retightening the batter connections. Trying this first before towing had my battery problem fixed in 10-15 minuets. read more

Company was dispatched by Erie Insurance Roadside assistance with a two hour ETA. I spoke with the company and described exactly where I was. Right at the 2 hour mark, they cancelled leaving me stranded, having to find another tow operator. read more

Do not call them if you want a reliable tow truck they will not come. They will leave. You stranded on the side of the road and keep telling you 20 minutes. The receptionist has the mouth of a sailor and talks to people like she is the queen star and no one does wrong there . DO NOT GO read more

I don't know why these folks are giving Randy Mitchell towing one star reviews. I'm assuming that they're all Karens LOL. My experience was tremendously good my tow truck driver Richie was friendly courteous helpful he even stopped to help an accident victim who hit a deer before he got to me. And the dispatcher was a real treat to talk to she was friendly and nice and found out that her son is in the Navy on the same ship. I was stationed on in 1988. So ignore the one star reviews. The reviews were probably written by some entitled bitch Cunt or...they were written by some sissy ass millennial hipster male!!! read more

would not recommend this company to anyone. My car was being towed, and when my wife called to ask for a call to where the car can be put the woman on the phone was extremely rude and disrespectful to her. When I followed up myself (because my app said it was completed) the conversation quickly turned into an argument due to the same unprofessional attitude. There was absolutely no courtesy or customer service shown during a stressful situation. Completely unacceptable behavior--look elsewhere if you want to be treated with basic respect. The tow guy was a sweetheart though :) read more

Randy Mitchell's company saved my day. After two horrible experiences with his competitors, Tim from Randy Mitchell towing came out properly prepared, polite and professional. I have a Diesel Truck with two batteries and it's more like jump starting a big rig . Tim even had his own personal equipment in the truck to help get the job done. Thanks Tim read more

waited over 2 hours when they saidbit would be 90 mins for a locked out running car. Not only did they NOT text me to tell me they were late but when I called them after 2 hours they said " Oh he's on his way NOW ". I said nevermind now, I don't nee....and before I could finish my sentence they hung up on me. VERY unprofessional business and this is who my insurance company chose to send? Never again would I waste my time with these people! Makes you wait in the freezing cold for over 2 hours and ignores you too? Better to call a friend than them. read more

So you are just going about your day and it just happens to be a bad day at that. Driving on down the highway and then all the sudden your bad day goes to a worse day when your engine decides to blow up. Mind racing you frantically attempt to make your way across three speeding lanes of traffic to at least put your vehicle at ease. After all that, you start to make all your phone calls. It's kind of a mind numbing experience to have. You are basically on autopilot at that point because you feel as if you have repeated the same thing over and over again to several different people. Finally everything is in order and a tow company is on their way to get you off the road and to a garage. Granted road side assistance set me up with Randy Mitchell Towing, but I am so grateful that they did. The initial place I was to be towed to could not take me, so a quick call to redirect where I was going was all it took. The nice lady on the other end said it was going to be no problem to switch my destination, and she didn't lie. Next is what I always feel is an awkward part, having to wait for the tow truck and then ride in the tow truck. Waiting is just so bad in and of itself, but when the driver showed up he immediately put me at ease by starting to crack jokes. Mentally exhausted from all that happened already, a joke was exactly what I needed. With my mind being numb I think the driver picked up on that and kept me occupied with conversation on the way there. I really appreciated that, it was a bright spot in a bad situation. In the future if I need a tow, I will definitely keep them in mind. But first, let me knock on wood as to not jinx myself. *knock knock* read more

Driver was extremely rude both on the phone and in person. If I didn't need him to tow the car I would have hung up on him when he started throwing a tantrum. Dispatcher on the phone was polite. I would not recommend this company unless you have 0 other options. read more

I will start out by stating that they arrived on time. But that was pretty much the ONLY thing that they did that I was happy with. My rear driver tire shredded on the side of McKnight Rd on the way to work this AM causing it to be dangerous to operate. I called this (Randy Mitchell) tow company as they were one of the few open during the COVID-19 epidemic. Upon arrival the drivers first words were "give me your keys and $85" ...a little jarring & up front, but okay He refused to get out of the car & only rolled the window down half way to accept the payment. Once he did, I stated that the car was to be taken to Discount Tire, less than a mile away. I told him I had the address and asked if I would be able to get a ride with him. The drive shouts "NO PASSENGERS" rolls up his window & drives away without receiving the address of the tire shop he was supposed to go to, without telling me any information, & without giving me any sort of receipt for our earlier transaction, which I wanted for insurance purposes since my insurance company demands one for reimbursement. I now have NO WAY of being reimbursed because the driver drove off without any warning. If the company has a no passenger policy, it should have been stated during my initial phone call to order the tow truck. No one mentioned anything about a no passenger policy & the driver didn't mention anything about it until he was more or less already driving away from me. The driver left me to walk alongside McKnight Rd during high traffic times without my jacket on a cold morning (as it was in my car & the driver left without allowing me to gather any of my personal items). When I arrived at the Discount Tire Shop, even the workers there commented on how unusual & rude it was for the driver to have left me on the side of the road. All in all, the driver was extremely rude & left me in a fairly sh*tty situation. I can't imagine if the tire shop had been multiple miles away or on the other side of town. Luckily I am able bodied & was able to walk the mile to the tire shop, but had I not been I wouldn't have been able to afford an Uber & would have been quite literally stranded on the side of the road. That's pretty terrible service if I say so myself. Actually it's disgusting customer service in my opinion. You don't desert your customers on the side of the road. The ironic part of the drivers complete lack of customer service is that I WAS going to give the driver a tip for coming out to help me during all of the COVID-19 panic & understanding that work is short for a lot of people right now...but he was a complete jerk!!! Showing up on time doesn't get you a gold star when everything else is terrible! Definitely DO NOT recommend this company. I'd say the only reason to ever use them is if you're absolutely desperate. Ps they're an UPFRONT CASH ONLY business, don't get caught off guard. I had to wait 5 minutes for the banks to open to get my cash for the driver & he threw a whole fit about it. Childish & unprofessional. read more

I had called my insurance company to set up a tow in the morning to get my car fixed. I'm a college student so I have classes that I need to attend. I needed a tow and set one up through my insurance company. I was also charged for the tow and with that I answered the questions they asked. The driver called and didn't say who or what they were calling for and when I asked what was needed he became frustrated with me an hung up. I tried calling back an didn't get answer then received texts basically instigating the situation further, he called an hung up 3 more times after that an said go ahead an call my boss with a kiss face emoji. unprofessional is basically something we have to put up with nowadays. Person who came was very friendly & did not charge for service call when issue resolved itself.

Just awful. Got assigned to them by State Farm roadside assistance (operated by Agero Roadside Connect) after I busted a tire and its rim on a nasty highway pothole. Mitchell Towing turned what should have been a short, simple tow to the nearest still open tire shop into an ordeal that spanned over 4 hours long, consuming my entire night and then this morning getting the new tire, when I was supposed to be at work. They originally gave me a 90 minute window for arrival. They did a no call, no show for even this generous allotment. After 100 minutes of waiting I called them. They said a truck was on the way, but I later found out that this was a lie. They promised arrival in another 30 minutes, and this time (well over 2 hours in) was another no call, no show appointment. I called Roadside Connect and complained and they set a third meeting time, 20 more minutes in the future, which they also missed. Eventually, 10 minutes later, the driver finally showed up with zero apologies to offer for making me wait well over 3 hours at that point. The driver didn't know how to hook up my hybrid car to his flatbed truck so it could be lifted up, being unable to find the parts he needed. So then I had to drive it on to the truck myself, but not before the driver was done chatting to someone else who wanted him to help with their car, ignoring me for several more minutes while they chatted. The service is terrible. They took more than twice the allotted time to reach me. There was zero communication from them. They promised to call me back several times and never did once. Worst of the worst. read more
