It's been great so far, so I wanted to share my story to inspire anyone looking for work who may be unsure about whether or not to reach out to Ultimate (in my experience the answer is YES!)... I was initially called in for an interview after responding to a ZipRecruiter ad, and met with Luke. We hit it off and I left feeling good about my prospects - I had resigned from my previous job almost a month before, and was starting to get a little antsy, but after our meeting I felt reassured. Come to find out, Luke is the manager of this whole branch and still takes the time to meet with candidates, which I really respect. I'd never worked with a staffing firm before and didn't know what to expect, but Luke put me at ease by walking me through Ultimate's process. At the end of the interview I recorded a brief "Video Select" interview video which he intended to show to employers, which I thought was pretty cool because I wouldn't have to drive all over town for as many introductory interviews. As I left he told me he was going to submit me for a $16-$18/hr Customer Service position he thought would be a good fit, which sounded good to me. However, the next day, I called him and explained that after some deep thought, I'd realized that I wanted to go into talent recruitment myself - I told him how impressed I was with Ultimate and asked if they had any internal positions. Things moved quickly from there and I started about 2 weeks later! One of my favorite things about working with Ultimate is their special focus on making every experience remarkable. I love coming into work every day and helping to create those great experiences for others, and I feel fulfilled by my career. If that's what you're looking for, I highly recommend you reach out to the Ultimate team!

They reach out to me for an interview and told me that they have lots of opportunities. And then after that, radio silence. I have followed up a few times with the recruiter, Kaitlin, and have never gotten a response back. Very unprofessional. If you want to do better, then hire better staff. Don't just virtue signal on yelp.

Samantha has been my recruiter since day one. We scheduled an interview in her office about my…read morecareer goals and what I am looking for in a company. The preliminary interview is great as it's semi-casual and lets the recruiter know more about you. From there, Samantha took what I wanted and soared! She was SO quick to find me opportunities, and what's even better is she genuinely listens to you. Every job position that is offered IS optional and you are in no way obligated to say, "yes" to every opportunity. Working with Samantha was a pleasant experience and the company they linked me with has been EVERYTHING I wanted! However, there was an incident when their Sr Staffing Manager, Jessica, followed up via email to see how I was doing. I had informed her of an employee, who they assigned as my approver, was treating me like her personal assistant and that prevented me from completing my actual job. She was NOT my manager, but due to circumstances, was a temporary hold until my manager was available. It was getting to a point where it felt like she was bullying me, and if I didn't do what she asked, she would hold that over my head and threaten me. When I had informed Jessica, it had taken over a week and half before they got back to me! & the only reason why they got back to me was because I sent 2 emails and had called multiple times, and eventually left a voicemail. In addition, when I told her about the situation, she made me feel as if I was making a bigger deal out of it than it was... The plan and execution was great with Samantha, the follow-up, not so much.

It is difficult to find a recruiting company that actually provides both the resources of the large recruiting firms, and the family and friends feel...there are so many large "disruptive" companies out there that just try to churn information and don't (I think) really care about their high-value clients. I didn't get that impression from CSI at all. They have incredibly tenacious employees, who take heavy initiative and followup both with communications and professional care of their customers. I never went a day without hearing back from them - both email and even text! And I hate waiting for an answer! Monster, LinkedIN, and other massive applications I think literally drown their users, and are so saturated that without the help of a firm like CSI, executive clients will go unnoticed. LinkedIN uses mass content searches among millions of people, and with the constant strategic wording other candidates use, heavy dumping of buzz words, there is no way to get legitimate attention from Fortune 500 companies. I learned this painfully when I transitioned from the Navy into my IT management position. The offices are easy to access as well, being right off both MOPAC and 183, I won't have a problem dealing with the Austin traffic getting here. Don't use luck and hope to find the right fit, CSI is the place to be.
