Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak with Blue Cheese, only its blue cheese salad dressing
    William Thomas C.

A few weeks ago I ordered a Buffalo chicken cheesesteak from here. For an extra 75 cents, I also ordered blue cheese on the sandwich. It was fabulous. Just the right amount of Tabasco on the sandwich and perfect amount of blue cheese. So, over the weekend I decided to order it again. This time two, so my wife could enjoy it as well. Sandwiches arrived quickly. There was very little Tabasco and no blue cheese at all. Unless you call the blue cheese dressing (not what I paid for). The sandwiches were terrible. Not what I ordered and certainly not what o paid extra for (blue cheese). Very disappointed.

This is our go to pizza spot but I don't know what has been going on recently with the quality of their pizza. The crust was huge half the pizza didn't have toppings. The pizza itself was also thinner than usual. I get that it's busy but not the best in the area anymore. Always quick pickup time. Good local vibe.

Randazzo's is good but do they have the best pizza I've ever had? Probably not. They have decent quality pizza and good service but nothing to rave about. I'd give it 3.5 stars. I was pretty disappointed by the lack of options. I came on a Saturday night to find they only had about 5 pizzas to choose from. I guess the lack of options made my decision a little easier.. ended up going with a slice of cheese. It was good. Also ordered a side of garlic knots. Those, on the other hand, were more noteworthy. The best part was the super soft dough. It doesn't come with marinara so if you want some make sure you ask for it!

Randazzo's of Jamison has a solid slice of pizza. While not the best I've ever had it was quite good. Stopped yesterday for 2 slices and a drink. I opted for the white and a cheesesteak slice. The white was garlicky and delicious. Not too greasy but just enough. The cheesesteak slice was equally as good but covered in American cheese. The steak was good and not dry as is often the case. The crust stood up well and had a nice bite to it. When in the area again I would stop back in.

I'm writing this review to share my experience with customer service last night. I had ordered a pie to be delivered and it arrived not exactly the way I ordered it. I called the restaurant to voice my complaint and I spoke to the store manager, Joe. Not only did Joe offer to make me another pizza, he told me that he'd deliver it to my house personally, which he did within 30 minutes. I read reviews about poor service frequently, I wanted to take the time to let people know, excellent customer service still does exist. Thanks Joe, I hope your bosses know how big of an asset you are.

Tonight I passed on going to Steak on State and left disappointed with Lucatelli's once again. The sandwich I had tonight was like a completely different cheesesteak from the one that originally made this place stand out, and I've noticed similar issues with other menu items as well. The inconsistency has become the silent killer here -- inconsistent portion sizes, declining ingredient quality, and a lack of attention to detail. Lucatelli's is still a good restaurant, which is why this is disappointing to see. Winning the award has obviously brought in a lot of new customers wanting to try the cheesesteak, and with that comes higher expectations. My recommendation would simply be to get back to focusing on consistency, quality ingredients, and the small details that made the place stand out in the first place. If they do that, they should have no problem being in the conversation again for next year's award.

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!
