About 2 years ago I suffered from lower back pain and was seen by physical therapist at Kaiser. I was satisfied with the outcome but didn't realize that their PT techniques were simple. In 2024, once again lower back pain. This time Kaiser refers me the Rancho Physical Therapy, what a difference! Rancho PT's therapist's use PT techniques that are intense, but not painful. LIFELINE IN HEALING. Its all in a day's of work here at Rancho where a harmonious routine of tasks are at hand. It might also seem a robotic scene for the staff calling the patients to do their repetitive and motion exercises. Those injured muscles must be flexed, stretched after all. But behind the facade exudes an underlying professional courtesy, sympathetic grin and heartfelt devotion to help patients alleviate their respective pains. Meet the caring team whose whose commitment was never amiss from my own perusal. They are Robert, Louie, Antoinette, JR, Abby, Milly and the front office staff. Your very first lifeline in healing whose kindness and compassion simply warms the day to make a difference. Also at the helm is the young and spirited PT Director Natalie Taylor whose intellectual expertise will even inspire and make you hope to get better. Her soothing massage is gifted with the healing touch while her voice resonates comfort. Natalie's very own narrative is simply to help and make patients heal from their pains and injuries. I can never thank each and one of them for making the difference, that even for a day I had a caring team whose got my back from my injuries due to a car accident. She's heaven sent and a blessing amidst some broken mending. It has been a year of agonizing and debilitating pain but every time I come here they make me feel I am not alone on my journey to heal. Thank you, thank you guys for the many beautiful things you do! Lastly, I would also like to highly commend Evelyn Barrow from Rancho's administrative office in Murrieta, Ca. for a job well done! She tirelessly and relentlessly went above and beyond her duty to follow up on the authorization from my health insurance. Those renewal of authorizations are hard to come by at a snail's pace! But she made sure I got mine and now I got my groove back rolling at Rancho for more PT sessions. Her overwhelming concern and genuine help is simply amazing! Popped in because I was at the MRI office next door. I asked if I could have green resistance band, it's like 3-4 feet of stretchy plastic, because I used to work at a physical therapy office in Bakersfield. At BSMART physical therapy, we would graciously give people a 3-4 foot band if they came in off the street and requested one. At that office our staff was committed to helping the patient get better regardless if they received care with us or not. Well, I'm taking the time to write this review because after she went in the back and asked, I was told by Susan I couldn't have one because they're busy. I just had an unmet expectation. The therapist was kind, paitent and extremely helpful. We had a very good experience.

I was warned about this place before I went there..but my insurance did not give me very many worthy options. So I thought i would give it a try. What a mistake that was. The therapist I had was timid and asked me about treatment. Why are you asking me? I didn't go to PT school. I may have had prior knowledge, but if I wanted to treat myself...I would have!! I did both land and water therapy. I should have known things weren't right when I was in the pool, looked up at the mandatory Warnings and CPR signage and it stated to give 15 compressions to 2 breaths! If you know CPR...then you know that changed back in 2010 to 30/2....it is 2017. The bike they put me on to warm up had no resistance, was falling apart and was so loud. All of their equipment was falling apart. They would give you your exercises and never watch your form to be sure you are doing it correctly. You are on your own. And trying to schedule an appointment was a nightmare. The therapists schedule was all over the place. So I saw more then one PT and no more me did the same thing. We finally found an amazing PT office and will never go back to Rancho or recommend it!! read more

During your initial appointment they ask you many questions including how long you can sit for and the pain it causes you. Well, when I came in for my second appointment (15 mins early-didn't know that would come back to haunt me), I waited for 25 minutes after my appointment time before approaching the front desk and asking, "how much longer it will it be?", explaining that I was now in extreme pain. I was very calm and polite and the girl working the counter didn't even let me finish before cutting me off to ask my name twice. So I answered and without checking accused me of not signing in (I signed in the moment I walked in). I told her I did and she then insisted I had a co-pay. I explained that my total out-of-pocket had been met for the year and that I didn't pay last visit. She checked and shortly after a female physical therapist called me back and said,"Sorry about the wait. Be sure to check in next time." At that point I was so irritated by the pain I was now in and by the accusations that I calmly said, "I'm gonna cancel today's appointment" and walked out. It was bad enough that they caused me extra pain knowing my condition, but to top it off by blaming me for their mistake was more than a suffering man can handle. I will not be returning to Rancho. I won't let any company who's supposed to be helping me, cause me further pain and blame me for it. There are several other companies out there who offer better customer service and care. read more

I am pleased with the staff. Disappointed that they were unable to accommodate my doctors request for therapy 2 times a week. My doctor has added 6 more weeks of therapy; they can not schedule appointments for me without 2 weeks waiting period. Consistent therapy is a must for proper healing. I informed them that I would have to start over with another facility; they didn't seem to care . Abby was superb! Wish I could continue with her. read more

I've been to this place in the morning and evening. Trust me, the evening is jam packed and that is why I prefer the morning (7 a.m.). If you come at this hour, there will be very few patients and that is why I thought I would receive better service...not to be. So the regimen they had me on was that I would see the physical therapist for some stretching, pulling, etc of my affected area (arm) and then I would go do some exercises. The physical therapist (switched 3 times on me) would never work on me more than 5 minutes. The last time I was seen for about 3 minutes and 30 seconds (yes, I was timing them). It's sad because one of the physical therapists said that, the exercises would help little if the therapist did not work on you. Every physical therapist that worked on me, did different things. One therapist, I felt, did a very good job, you could feel the difference. Another one, I felt it did zero for me. They always seemed to be in a rush. If you have to come here, ask a lot of questions and request certain people if you get good service from them. On to the assistants... You would think that with only 2 patients in the entire facility, 2 assistants would be able to handle the work load. These two employees/assistants are constantly talking to each other and once while one of them was in the middle of showing me how to do an exercise (after I complained about no attention), I'm waiting for the next instruction when he diverts his attention to his conversation friend and proceeds to carry on a conversation...so I just sit and wait for them to be done. Next, while I'm waiting for someone to come by because I'm done with the exercises they gave me, I see one of them eating breakfast in the office. That's when I asked for the manager and told her about it. Finally, they start giving me the attention I needed but unfortunately I only had one visit left. Everything rises or falls on leadership and this place needs to work on their customer service. I could mention more things like the old, out-dated, faded posters that aren't framed properly or I could talk about how they never vacuum around the edges of the equipment. The back windows on Fullerton haven't been cleaned for some time and are stained with water spots. I could go on, but why? You get the point... read more

I love this place! I look forward to going to my early morning sessions weekly. The environment is upbeat and every staff member I've met has been more than helpful...Jaquelyn and Carolyn have been my physical therapists and are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been suffering from backspin for the past 4 years. Jaquelyn discovered leg length abnormalities in me which other PT's overlooked..so crazy. Carolyn has helped alleviate much of my sciatica and pinched nerve issues as well. The PT aides are wonderful (Amanda, Rafael & Louie) and really work their butts off to make sure you're well taken care of. The front desk girls are also helpful and sweet. Not very personable. I was constantly assigned a different therapist than I scheduled. I was constantly left alone and not instructed what exercise to do next. I was always looking around trying to see where the person assigned to me went and was told by other people, "oh, just do 'this'," as though they knew what my diagnosis was. I only ever saw the person "in charge"/monitoring my overall treatment twice. I had to get reassigned to a different physical therapist and the cost for this place was a loss. read more

Staff here is very friendly and helpful. I've had 3 sessions here for my torn meniscus and so far, everything has been very relaxed, a very good experience for me. I met with Natalie who had her hands full with me as I've had nothing but poor results from previous PT visits elsewhere. To be fair, I have disc damage on 10 levels so I'm not a good candidate for surgery, and I can only move carefully or risk even worse damage. Natalie has a very gentle way about introducing movements I was afraid to try, I'd go as far as to describe her as an "empath", it's obvious she cares about her clients. Good facility. People are friendly, helpful,and knowledgeable. They are focused on getting you better. Nice music in the background. Make sure you book your appointments in advance if you want the same person. If not you may see someone different each time. Appointments take 1-2 hours. This was my first impression of the staff not good. The front desk was very cold towards me. It took her a minute to acknowledge me. I was there for therapy on my shoulder so my arm was in a sling. I was given a clipboard to fill out paperwork never asked me if I needed help. You would think staff should be empathetic towards new patients. She never looked me in the eye or give me any good customer service. I was called in the back my therapist was great. He took the time to work through my session with patience. He never made me fill like my was unworthy of his time. He explained everything about my session. He didn't push me past my pain. He even told me to expect my next session would be uncomfortable and to take my pain meds beforehand. As I was waiting for my ride another patient was in the waiting room. He was having difficulty walking to his car. One of the staff was coming in so I told him to follow the gentleman. I explained that he was walking like he would fall. He stopped and went to aid him. So I was going to change my office but due to the staff in the back I will give them another chance. read more

The staff were nice enough but they misrepresented the costs of the therapy before admitting me for treatment, and then didn't record my payments correctly on their invoice. I sent several letters with copies of bank statements showing them what I paid and asking them to correct the bill and haven't received a single reply. Just today received a letter from them threatening to send me to collections and damage my credit report when they haven't replied to a single one of my letters asking for clarification on the invoice. read more

Great job done by everyone! Front office receptionists are very attentive. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes when I check in and they have been flexible with me when I have had to change my appointments. The PT Aids (Louie, Burgundy, Ationette and Ryan) are friendly, hard working and pay attention. They make sure you are doing the movements correctly to make you stronger, as opposed to just going through the motions. All of the Therapist's are also great, but I have to mention Abby specifically. She's a sports therapist and has really pushed me more than I thought I was able to go, giving me more confidence in myself. If you work hard while you are there and do the exercises given as homework, you will do fine! I highly recommend Rancho Physical Therapy! read more

To sum up my experience with RPT, these people are nothing short of Miracle Workers. You are not reading this review because you want to. You are reading it because you are in pain or lack the range of motion you need. These people will fix you up. They did it for me twice. A couple things you MUST understand: First, Physical Therapy is painful. Your body usually tells you not to do something when it hurts. For instance when you put your hand on the kitchen range burner top it hurt and you instantly pulled your hand away. But physical therapy is different. In order to get better you typically need to stretch (many times painfully), exercise to build up muscles (which often is more work than you want ... and it is WORK), and do a myriad of seemingly mundane things to regain control of your body. Second, don't expect that they will just plug you into a machine or massage your body. While they many times will use a TENS unit to stimulate your nervous system, most of what you do will be WORK. And the expression "No Pain No Gain" is applicable. Third, as a retired exec of a Fortune 10 company that was responsible for a large business unit with a business contribution of over a half billion dollars annually, I initially did not like taking direction from people 1/2 my age and with nowhere near my business acumen. I was wrong. These people specialize in skills I had no knowledge of. Once I started taking their compassionate directions I started getting (and feeling) better. Finally, all things considered, their prices are extremely reasonable. And if you want to take advantage of their exercise machines after they've fixed you up (or to just extend your insurance coverage's service), you can get a month-to-month "Gym" membership for $39 ... all using the same equipment that you used to fix your problem. Seven years ago they fixed my back. In the last 2 months they fixed a bad shoulder. On my back, my therapy included use of their heated "swimming" pool. I use the work swimming in quotes as you don't swim in it, just use it as a vehicle to help you smoothly exercise. I call that pool THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH. You will too if you use it. I cannot recommend Rancho Physical Therapy more heartily. read more

So Greatfull to fine this physical therapy Brian omg love him and the staff all of them i had Major knee replacement surgery. had home care what a joke i found them from my doctors office in Newport Beach when i walk in there sept 20 2020 i was a mess my knee was in so much pain 4 weeks out and i needed to get it working at this time walking in the staff wow omg they are so nice all of them the place is so clean every one has a mask on with out brian and his great staff all the guys and i mean all of them Oct 5 i walk in with out a crane yes i did whoo with out the Encouragement and hard work has a team i would be lost every day i loo forward to getting betting and my knee is bending slow but it is you must work past the pain brain thank you so much you are such a nice person to help me out with let exercises you are teaching me to get well so greatfull to you and the staff you are more than a 5# i ould not be walking with out you and your staff thank you christine williams read more

I don't usually write negative reviews but maybe this will help the company's management improve because I'm sure they're losing business. I've given this location three tries but the front desk young gal is repulsive. The first time I had an appointment, went to my appt and the front desk gal tells me the therapist had to leave so I'd have to reschedule and her don't care attitude was annoying. I was never notified so wasted time there. I completed the online form for first time patients but she said she couldn't find it. I later am told by another front desk gal that she they do have it. I think the first gal was lying just to blow me off. Months later my doctor sent authorization to this location again for a different issue. I was thinking whatever I'll give it a try again. Called and told the front desk gal I had an authorization I was following up on. She sounded like I was extremely inconveniencing her and with an irritated voice asked what my name and info was. Wth? Isn't this routine job for her?? Why is she so annoyed for looking up my authorization. As she was looking me up, I don't know what happened but phone got disconnected. Whether she hung up on me or not regardless from all the previous bad experiences, I'll go to a further location just to avoid this negative gal. I'm sure the other staff are great but man.. they have to be losing business because of that front desk gal. read more

Save yourself a lot of grief by not giving this place your business. It has been a very frustrating experience pretty much every time I have had interaction with them. The people working with me simply show me the exercises and then walk away, not even paying any attention to if I am doing the exercises correctly, or not. After several weeks I had to ask them shouldn't I be doing more than just stretching exercises? However, the worst part of my experience with this place is the girl in the office. Just about every appointment was scheduled incorrectly. When I would call her to get clarification, no one answers the phone. I didn't use all of my available appointments because of the terrible experiences. To end it all, they overcharged me for the appointments I did go to. I am now waiting for my insurance company to contact them so they can send me the correct amount due. What a mess! read more

I was in severe pain today and was 15 minutes late to an appointment. I have informed them I have already completed my exercises at home ( which take up to 40 minutes) and just needed 20 minutes of treatment- cervical stretch machine - takes them 2 minutes to set up and the E Stim machine which also takes them 2 minutes to set up- My last 2 visits last over an hour with exercises and then the treatment towards the last 20 minutes of my session. I told them I do not want to take pain medications and it is a Friday. Adriana at the front desk completely declined me because I was 15 minues late- that was their answer with no empathy whatsover. I told them I do not need all the exercises. I know they could fit me in but for some ODD reason they could not. She discussed with the therapist or therapist aide Orin who also declined me. It is absolutely not logical that they could NOT fit me in for 20 minutes. Poor customer service and poor quality of patient care. read more
