Following a brutal fall at work, I embarked on an extended healing journey with Body Basics Physical Therapy in Corona. Jorge, dubbed the Prince of Pain, worked very conscientiously to restore my range of motion over the initial few years of physical therapy. My new PT, Jonny, is also very responsive to my aches and pains, plus he educates me about physiology and body mechanics. He's a beacon of strength or BOS for short. The ladies at the front desk are awesome too. They have bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule - it's rare to find that level of customer service anymore. Found this place on Yelp, based on reviews and it's in my health insurance network which is a plus in itself, I decided to have P. T. here for my shoulder impingement or frozen shoulders (I was told later)... from the check in counter to all the P.T. staff - it's been a great experience. Coming from a healthcare background, it's a humbling experience to be on the other side - that of a patient - but my physical therapist is awesome and his assistants are just as great. I'm still receiving P.T. for my shoulders till likely July and surprisingly am compliant with instructions and exercises given to me. My P.T. Jonny is honest, direct and wonderful to work with. Have been using Body Basics for many years and they have always helped get and keep me moving. All good, until this AM - have always been on time or even early for appts. Left with plenty of time to get there today. Major freeway closure happened and called about 40 min prior to let them know i may be 5-10 minutes late. Receptionist said fine, she would let them know. A few minutes later she called back and said that they couldn't see me if i wasn't there by my appt time. A bit surprised, to have that said to me, I said "so if i am there at 8:20 its ok, but if its 8:25 no?" she said correct. Some babble about short staffed - I had a pre set appointment - and thought I was being courteous by letting them know i would be a few minutes late. And there have been many times they called me to ask if they could move my appt so the therapist could leave early, and all but once i accommodated him. Something has changed here, and this confirms it - very sad. read more

I came in for debilitating sciatic pain. A nursing student did my evaluation. The whole time I'm thinking I will see a therapist when she's done. A few questions I asked about sciatic the student didn't know. I'm still thinking I will be getting some kind of treatment from a licensed therapist and I'll get answers to my questions. After 20 minutes of being pulled, pushed and stretched to see where the pain started and ended, she left and an aide came in to give me a sheet of exercises, easily found on the web. I received zero treatment and didn't speak to a licensed therapist or assistant. Super disappointing. My pain was greatly increased by the evaluation. I understand that. What I don't understand is why I wasn't treated for my pain and didn't have my time with an experienced and knowledgeable therapist. I do want to say, the student and aide were very nice, just poor management. read more

Well, today was my last PT sesh with Scott. Although I'm excited to have my finger back healthy and fully functioning like before my injury, I'm sad that I won't get to see his crew anymore. So much that it wouldn't bother me to injure another part of my body just so I can go back to Scott's team. Jk. I had the opportunity to have treatment at both the Corona and Norco locations. I have been going there for months for a rotator cuff surgery recovery. The front staff is very friendly and have always done there best to get me appointments scheduled. Jorge has been my PT. Twelve weeks ago I had lot of pain in my neck, unable to turn my head to look over my shoulder to the right or to the left. My doctor sent me to Body Basics. When I walked into the Corona office of Body Basics I found the facilities to be clean and the staff to be very professional and helpful. During my first visit I met Cindy and Nicole, what a great team. Cindy examined my neck, found the source of my discomfort and scheduled a set of exercises which Nicole guided me through with careful scrutiny. Through the following weeks, 2x per week, Nicole set me through my exercises, followed by Cindy's careful minipulation of the injured area, ending the session with ice and electrodes. After these last twelve weeks I am able to look over my shoulder (right and left) with very little discomfort. I am completly comfortable that I can now move forward with the exercises on my own, but also am comforted knowing I may return any time I feel I need additional therapy. This is my 2nd time using Body Basics and once again have found the whole staff very professional. I write this review in all honesty, the 5 stars I give come after weeks of visits having received therapy and assistance from Johnny my PT and his caring and knowledgeable aides. After shoulder surgery I could barely move my arm and had little to no strength. After working with Johnny, my range of motion and strength has drastically improved! Each week he continues to encourage and challenge me in different ways and I have seen steady progress. I'm so thankful for the positive experience, and relieved that my shoulder is on its way to a full and successful recovery. Johnny is the best! I have been working with him post shoulder surgery for two months now. He has helped me achieve what I once thought was impossible. Besides being friendly, I found them to be knowledgeable and well skilled in their profession. This is my second time going to Body Basics. The first time is when I originally broke my leg and tore my meniscus and ACL. I ended up having surgery 2 weeks ago and am far beyond schedule so far. So on October 19th, 2018 I injured my bicep and shoulder had reconstruction surgery on my right arm. Was very skeptical about going to PT. If it weren't for Body Basics and my wonderful Physical Therapist Jorge I wouldn't have my arm today.
