They were VERY nervous before we started the ride and the team took a bit more time with them and helped to get them a little more calm before starting. They even had one of the team members, Abby, walk along side the kids during the ride to help remind them of what to do along the ride. Needless to say, our kids all had an amazing time and we wouldn't hesitate recommending this ranch to others. It was a holiday weekend and we called about a week in advance and they only had 2 slots left that could accommodate our group of 7, so I'd recommend calling asap to set up your reservations. Abby also mentioned that there was going to be a new trail opening in the fall of 2017.

The children were able to take multiple rides on the ponies and also they could pet the animals within a fenced area. Sarah's Pony Rides employees (Kim, Miley & Briana) were very patient and caring - helping the children up and down from the ponies and explaining what to do. The children enjoyed the petting zoo too. The children could pet the animals from inside the fence and they could feed the animals hay from outside the fence - to ensure the children don't get pushed by the animals who were eager for the hay. Safety was taken seriously. It was a fun time that I am sure my granddaughters will not forget. I have lots of pictures but don't feel comfortable sharing pics with children in them.

My son & I were recently invited by a member for the ranch's Halloween Party. Apparently it's a big…read moredeal as it took about 30 minutes of sitting in line to get inside. The line stretched down E 28th Rd and I looked in my mirror shortly after taking my spot in line at saw it had looped onto N 2850th Rd. But the line moved quick, the ladies processing the guest passes at the guard shack were quick, friendly, and efficient. My friend waited at the front in her car so we could follow her to her property. I'm glad she did because while there was a map she had previously given me, I never would've have found my way on my own. She acknowledged it's not exactly to scale as one building marked on the map is in a slightly different spot in real life. It's very wooded and pretty. My son kept exclaiming "wow!" as we drove through. People had decorated their sites and it had a festive and fun atmosphere. My normally shy son had a blast running around with kids and playing. There was park wide trick or treating between 2pm-4pm. My friend told me no cars were allowed to drive through the park between those hours for safety reasons. Which made sense, the streets were packed with families walking from site to site gathering their treats (some spots had "adult trick or treating"...they were handing out shots if you didn't gather that). The reason they got dinged a star was because even though there were not supposed to be cars driving through- there were. I wish the no driving had been enforced. I know there were still people waiting in line to get in but my friend had given me the heads up to get there early so we would be inside on time. If only everyone was that courteous. I would give 4.5 if I could but I can't so here we are at 4. Otherwise it was a blast, my son was absolutely pooped. We trick or treated the entire two hours. He didn't get much candy but he was enjoying sitting in the wagon eating candy and looking at the costumes (even adults were dressed). Hopefully she invites us next year- I'll even take the night off of work so I can partake in the adult trick or treating!

The staff is amazing and always helpful. The board of directors works hard at making each season AMAZING along with all of the volunteers. There seems to be something to do all the time from game nights, BINGO, Bags, Friday night fires to get to know everyone. They have great bands, their own store, restaurant and laundromat, along with a great game room. There are two pools, pickleball, tennis, basketball court and a RC race track and so much more! And when it comes to avocado toast, there is so much opportunity for good citrus flavor, salt, herbs, etc.. So, good cup of coffee, and hopefully some other good things on the menu - I only tried the avocado toast. Good folks, worth another try if I'm in town again.
