We looked at several campgrounds before committing to WS. We have now been there for several years and could not be happier. We love it so much we bought additional lots. The staff is amazing and always helpful. The board of directors works hard at making each season AMAZING along with all of the volunteers. There seems to be something to do all the time from game nights, BINGO, Bags, Friday night fires to get to know everyone. They have great bands, their own store, restaurant and laundromat, along with a great game room. There are two pools, pickleball, tennis, basketball court and a RC race track and so much more! Been an owner for fifteen years now. We like woodsmoke. The pools are nice, they have all different kinds of activities for all ages. So much to like and enjoy. Now for the bad. The staff particularly the park manger Brian and the board members are tyrants and completely unapologetic . Rude and just plain bad people. Go to a Friday night fire and watch the board members drink for free all night and then be belligerent to lot owners. Nothing but rules. No deliveries of any kind or work on your lot can be performed on weekends. No matter what. LSV (which are licensed and titled vehicles must have 3" reflective lot numbers on all four sides and must be reflective so the nasty old people can call and report you for speeding. The older ranchers are horrible and scream slow down at you and take your picture then report you to security. But, cars get to race back and forth all day every day. Kids on scooters (gas and electric) fly as fast as they can go. Had a kid smack in to a parked truck this year already and had to be life flighted due to her head injuries. No helmet, 8 yo going as fast as she could. Now there has been groups of underage kids drunk wandering around late at night yelling and screaming. Security is a joke unless some old lady calls on a different lot owner because of the radio was too loud and his motorcycle then they show up and write him a ticket. Don't like it? They threaten to call the sheriff on you. It was such a great campground but slowly becoming a huge mess. From employee theft of cash, to using park vehicles to take home or fly down the streets of woodsmoke. And let's not forget the SS truck. This massive vehicle flys around at a high rate of speed all the time. Occasionally running over decorations on sites as they drive across the grass. People are selling their lots at a very high rate due to all of the above and more. Not a good place anymore. Look somewhere else unless you like being told to deal with it. We love this place! Private campground, 2 pools, hayrides, bands some weekends, bags tournaments, bingo, cafe, etc. It is very clean and well maintained. Over 1400 lots. You own the lot which is great! If you are looking for a permanent campsite, check it out! read more

My son & I were recently invited by a member for the ranch's Halloween Party. Apparently it's a big deal as it took about 30 minutes of sitting in line to get inside. The line stretched down E 28th Rd and I looked in my mirror shortly after taking my spot in line at saw it had looped onto N 2850th Rd. But the line moved quick, the ladies processing the guest passes at the guard shack were quick, friendly, and efficient. My friend waited at the front in her car so we could follow her to her property. I'm glad she did because while there was a map she had previously given me, I never would've have found my way on my own. She acknowledged it's not exactly to scale as one building marked on the map is in a slightly different spot in real life. It's very wooded and pretty. My son kept exclaiming "wow!" as we drove through. People had decorated their sites and it had a festive and fun atmosphere. My normally shy son had a blast running around with kids and playing. There was park wide trick or treating between 2pm-4pm. My friend told me no cars were allowed to drive through the park between those hours for safety reasons. Which made sense, the streets were packed with families walking from site to site gathering their treats (some spots had "adult trick or treating"...they were handing out shots if you didn't gather that). The reason they got dinged a star was because even though there were not supposed to be cars driving through- there were. I wish the no driving had been enforced. I know there were still people waiting in line to get in but my friend had given me the heads up to get there early so we would be inside on time. If only everyone was that courteous. I would give 4.5 if I could but I can't so here we are at 4. Otherwise it was a blast, my son was absolutely pooped. We trick or treated the entire two hours. He didn't get much candy but he was enjoying sitting in the wagon eating candy and looking at the costumes (even adults were dressed). Hopefully she invites us next year- I'll even take the night off of work so I can partake in the adult trick or treating! read more

I have to say old manger should retire nice guy but the board sucks 16000 for a lot u must be f in crazy this place is a dump trailers from the 60s still there no one ever cuts grass sad could be a nice place. not well maintained. read more
