Came to have dinner here on our way to Orlando as it was recommended by family members. It did not disappoint. The place is tastefully decorated and the service was amazing from the moment we walked in. Two ladies greeted us and were so friendly walked us to our table. We ordered the guacamole that they mad table side. It was honestly delicious and we almost ate the whole bowl. I have the carne asada plate (the regular portion, that have a half). I shared that with my kids and we all loved it. My husband ate a burrito with carnitas and he said it was amazing. It was a quick dinner and we left extremely satisfied. read more

Eric is a great friend and makes a mean margarita . It's one of our stables going to this restaurant go over 25 years . It's comfort both in food and family . Was craving Mexican food as I haven't had it in a long time and my daughter sent pictures of her and grandchild at a Mexican restaurant. I've seen this place in the Publix shopping center for a long time and figured since it's there so long it must be decent. Parking is no problem. I was seated quickly. Typical Mexican restaurants decoration, paper doily things hanging from the ceiling, wooden colorful painted furniture, etc. Clean enough. Lunch menu had nice colorful photos of some of the offerings. Pretty much the same assortment of items that one would expect. I had a difficult time ordering as it's mostly all the same ingredients presented slightly differently, a la that Jim Gaffigan joke. Was served a bowl of chips and nice salsa immediately upon sitting. Anyway, ordered the Asado Burrito. Comes with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. I asked for some avocado on the side. Received a small bowl with 1/2 an avocado that was charged $3.99 extra for. When the gal set the plate down, she said to watch it because it was hot. Nope, not so hot. You know when you're having that first mouthful of refried beans and expect to have lava mouth burns, nope. None of it was overly hot which makes me now wonder if it was cooked to temperature or if I'm going to be sick later. However, that said, it was ok tasting. Good amount of the carne asada, and the fresh tortilla had adequate burrito sauce and blob of sour cream. The side rice was ok. Typical side rice. Service was ok but the server didn't come back to see if all was good until I was mostly done. I doubt I'd have sent it back though. I just had water for my drink. I'm feeling that $20 was a bit high for lunch. Will I go back? Probably not. There's a place in Jupiter on Indiantown road I think was better. Waitstaff was nice though. I cannot say it was bad, and I hate to diss a place, just wasn't what I was expecting. Maybe I'm too picky. read more

Really nice atmosphere! We wanted Mexican and this was the closest one to us so we tried it!! So yummy!! They must cook their beef for a very very long time. It's not your usual ground meat. The food was okay. The employees were pleasant, but the actual service is lacking. Had hard bits of rice inside he burrito. Obviously two different batches of rice because the rice on the side was not under cooked. We showed the server the coupon and she said she had to check with the manager. Then came back and said he e couldn't use it because the manager wasn't there. Told us we could come back another time to use it and "maybe" the manager would be there. What?? The server took our drink order, brought our drinks and took our food order, and then didn't return until we were almost done. Drinks were empty and never offered to refill. Never checked on us while eating, only at the end when she asked if we wanted a box. She was nice enough, but no sense of "service" as far as checking on us and making sure we have everything we need. We've been to rancho Chico many times, only our second time to this location though. Needless to say, we won't return. read more

I've been here twice. Once with my fiancé and I only, and another time for his birthday with the whole family (party of about 12 with kids). We did not make a reservation or call ahead about our large party coming in and they were so accommodating for our last minute plans! Not what it used to be. Enchiladas are way too dry; barely any sauce. Seems like they're saving money by cutting back. They have several restaurants in the area-All have the same problem. I used to eat here 3x week, now it's about once a month. I keep hoping they'll be like before-But, I'm usually disappointed. Prices are low(maybe they should raise them). I've been here nearly a dozen times since I moved to the area, and I can confidently say it's not only my go to spot for authentic Mexican, but it's also undoubtedly one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to stateside. Not only are the prices fair, but everything is made fresh. I've always been one to overindulge in the chips and salsa before my meal, and it's no different with this restaurant. Their salsa is, by far, my favorite freshly made salsa I have ever had. Everyone who I have ever spoken to that works here has also been kind and respectful, and many go above and beyond. My only suggestion is if you order your food to go, ask for your rice and beans in a separate container (to avoid making your entree soggy). read more

I've been searching for an "authentic" Mexican restaurant in the area and this is the closest one I could find. Finally found a place that serves chips and salsa free of charge. The frozen margarita was delicious! The cheese dip was a bit small but very good- would highly recommend ordering. #19 combo was filling and came with plenty of extra cheese. Absolutely horrible. Went in tonight with a party of 6 (8-7-2023}. I've been in before and it was OK. Tonight, was horrible. This place needs to be gutted, and completely redone. Carpeting is black, need to be ripped out. So dated in there. I ordered a chimichanga, it was served with no sauce, no cheese on top. The tortilla was so wet, it fell apart on the plate. Small dallop of rice, same with the beans. Some wilted lettuce, with a huge slap of sour cream. They had the never to charge me $15.99. Someone else ordered a fajita salad in a taco shell. When the server brought it over, it didn't have a shell. We asked were told they don't serve it with a shell anymore. It is shown on the menu, the server never informed us. They still charged menu price. Server never came back around to check on drinks until the end. We are done and then asks if we want more drink? There are plenty of better options in the area. read more

This is the laziest most disgusting attempt of a burrito I've ever seen. If I can give this place zero stars I would, how do you screw up a burrito. Celery and carrots In a burrito? Wtf? It's not chicken soup. Nothing in this place is authentic, taco Bell is more authentic than this place and better tasting sad to say. As a matter of fact I ended up throwing this in the trash and going to Taco Bell anyway. What a waste of money, this place should be ashamed to call it self a Mexican restaurant. I have been to this location quite a few times. While the food is good you can always tell how clean the kitchen is by the cleanliness of the dining area and bathroom. The bar is most often pretty sticky and the floor is always dirty. But that aside, the bathrooms are disgusting. The toilet seat in the women's restroom has been broken for months. That's an easy fix. No soap in the dispenser and no paper towels or toilet paper in the handicapped stall. No soap and a small amount of paper towels at the main sink. And a few other things I won't go into. But this is a regular thing. Can't imagine what the food prep/cooking area looks like. Hey, but the food is good so if you don't mind the rest then you're good. I just hate seeing this restaurant look like this. And yes I did let them know about the gross bathroom and sticky bar. First visit and it was pretty good. Place is spacious, open booths and tables, you won't feel cramped and can have a conversation without yelling. Promptly seated by friendly happy hostess, waitress cam over and took drink orders and we ordered. Bowl of chips and salsa promptly provided. They crispy chips and appeared to be home made salsa, that tasted good Food arrived timely nice and hot good size portion on the carnee asada meal. Terrible waitress - brought the wrong order and refused to correct it. The burrito was only filled with lettuce for $17... the waitress finally came by our table 30 minutes after the food was served and I told her I was brought the wrong order and that it only had lettuce. She said the cooks messed up and told me to give her my plate, assuming she would bring me back the right order. When she came back 10 minutes later I asked if they were going to bring my food and she said no because I "ate everything." I picked at less than a quarter of the dish only because it took her 30 minutes to come by our table and and I had assumed I was brought the correct dish initially. read more

Went here on a Thursday night, was really craving some Mexican food & some margaritas. ;) I went around 9 PM and there wasn't a lot of people around, which I liked. Kinda empty to be honest but it is a very spacious restaurant so that could probably be why it felt "empty". I was served nachos and salsa, the norm. Waitress was nice but kinda out of it, I'm guessing she was tired which I completely understand. I ordered the Queso Dip, it's a white cheese dip & it was yummy. As for the margarita, I got a macho mango margarita which is a regular margarita but with an extra shot. The Margs were very strong so I really enjoyed that! it was $8 for a margarita and $2 for the extra shot. I recommend getting mango flavored. I tasted the regular one my friend ordered but it was very bitter. I ordered a combination plate (taco, enchilada and tamale). I tried to order my taco with carne asada (grilled steak) instead of ground beef but apparently that wasn't an option..... even if you paid extra. -_- The prices were reasonable but overall it wasn't really authentic if you ask me. I've been to more authentic tasting restaurants down in Lake Worth. An A-Ok 3 Star restaurant if you ask me. I don't think I'll go back, unless for a margarita. read more

Started eating lunch at Ranch Chico a while back. We used to eat there on a regular basis before the Pandemic. Today I went there and the same lunch that was priced at $9.95 is now $13.50 or a 36% increase in less than a week. I understand the need for a price increase, but to increase your prices by over 35% is ill advised. I won't be going back for a while. The food is OK but not great. I spoke to the manager and he was nice but did not make sense. I think a more reasonable approach would have been to gradually increase your prices over a period of time In order to get to where they wanted to be without running off your customers. We ordered two vegetarian quesadillas to go and asked for it to be a meal. When we got home, it turned out not to be meal (meaning no rice or beans). And on top of that it was the worst quesadilla we ever had - it had a weird taste, hardly any cheese and it had lots of carrots! And I never had a quesadilla that had carrots. Standard Mexican food, inexpensive drinks, large local crowd..... This was our first time here. We live in the area and often pass by. On a few occasions there was a nice crowd and the place looked busy. To me, that's a good sign. The place needs some updating but the ambience was typical Mexican casual. There was a lively group at the bar, mixed ages, and we learned that drinks were very reasonable. They don't have a happy hour; this is their usual pricing. A glass of Kendal Jackson Chardonnay was only $6.25! We were immediately served warm corn chips and a delicious salsa. Since it was so good, we passed on an appetizer and just ordered dinner. My husband and I both ordered the Fajitas. I ordered the shrimp and he ordered the steak variety. There was the usual peppers and onions on a hot skillet with all the sides: rice, beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole and warm corn or flour tortillas. Check my photos. The portions were large so we had enough to take home for tomorrow's dinner. Good solid food, very tasty and not expensive.
