Eh, I guess they "try" to be an "Army - Navy" store without having any present day Army combat uniforms. I asked for an "IFAC" and each employee asked what that was, when I explained to him it means "Individual First Aid Kit". The guy says "Oh, you're going old school on me". He says "I've never heard of that before". Uh huh. Ok... This is a camping/air-soft store. Sadly, not a place to get used military items for actual military use. read more

This place is pretty big with just about everything you could want for camping or anything else outdoors. They have been here for more then ten years or so and they have stuff Turner's, Big 5 and Walmart just doesn't have. They have a somewhat small selection of knives which I think is a little over priced but I understand that they need to make a profit. For years now I seem to leave this place with more items than intended. Rancho's vast array of equipment is constantly updated and maintained. They have everything a surplus store should have from boots and apparel to camping and Boy scout equipment. They also carry a great selection of sweats and Levi's 501 shrink to fit jeans. On my last visit I walked in with the intention of getting a new pair of Levi's but ended up with 2 .50 cal ammo cans, a pair of Timberland boots and a pair of Levi's STF. They carry just about every brand and pattern of new and used Military surplus and Police gear from head to toe that is available. If it is not available in the store, they will track it down and order it for you. Great Place. I like the fact the have Cub/Boy scout uniforms and supplies. Saves me a trip to Redlands. Good stock of camping gear as well, especially cast iron! The even offer sewing of patches for a small fee on uniforms. I find it really funny (And a bit SAD) that someone gave it only 1 star, because they did not give them a discount! What the heck, I am glad they are in business and I am happy to shop there, even if they have the SAME PRICE as somewhere else. This store has a good variety of some of everything. It's not like the average surplus stop that only sale out-dates military wear, they even sale shoes. I purchased a new pair of Ugg slip ons for my wife. They have Dickie wear and other brand of cloths good for labor type work. Good store. read more

I buy my paracord stuff here. I make the survival paracord bracelets and always find cool colors and buckles here. The prices are pretty decent. I have also purchased back packs, shorts and shirts here. They have a cool little knife section with Spydercos and Kershaws. A little pricier than purchasing online but most brick and mortar stores have to pay rent and employees. I like the flashight selection and they have most swiss army knives available. The employees are always eager to help. They carry the cheaper version of maxpedition gear. Its called voodoo tactical. Not as high quality but very affordable. Over the past 5 years, I have purchased 5 pairs of work boots from this establishment. I have never had an issue with the boots until this last pair. Small collection of surplus clothing and a few ammo cans, otherwise it's a store filled with cheaply made Chinese knockoffs and off brand camping supplies. My 2 Son's, and I made a trip to Temecula's Rancho Army-Navy store to find a good pair of hiking shoes. We were greeted Hello at the front of the store by a friendly sales lady, and asked if we needed help finding anything? She pointed us over to the shoe department, and to the gentleman that was in that department that could help us. Even though they did not have a huge selection of shoes, my boys and I found perfect pairs that fit. The name brand of shoe we bought was Merrell. The sales guy was very knowledgeable of the product & very friendly.. he took care of us. He even carried the 3 boxes of shoes to the front cashier desk. Great customer service! Just stopped in for some shorts. They don't have my size. The guy said he's not sure when they will get more in. They can order and it takes two weeks to get.
