First, having a motorized cart that is charged and works great... THANK YOU. I did a shop at the 185th location an hour before their close for a one item drop to a customer. They actually said their restroom was closed - the one that that location requires to use a code to get into...like you can't even have an employee code you in. They said their restroom is "closed for the evening". Here...restroom right there, open so a person can use it and I was so grateful. And the motorized carts right there at the entrance open that I can access. Next up, I ask for something I am pretty certain they do not have but the employees actually get it - we are in it together and they are so kind, actually looking and saying they are pretty sure but.... I appreciate that so much! And when I go back to them to check out saying, oh you found that instead... Thank you for having such a great team and store.

We also bought from produce, snacks, and poke. Everything we had was really fresh. The only thing that I bought that wasn't my thing was Sakura Cookies by Nakaura. They were pretty, but the flavor was odd and they're a bit pasty. Our cashier (Shiow) was super friendly and heard us speak Mandarin. We had a fun conversation with her and she told us to come back for Senior discount days on Tuesday (10% off, 60 and older). They also have Student discount (10% off) on Friday evenings (6PM to close with valid college ID).

That history is exactly why this experience was so disappointing. I paid about $65 for a custom double-layer six-inch cake for my dog's birthday. When I picked it up, there were no decorations on top other than the lettering. I had never asked for the top to be left undecorated, but the person taking the order apparently wrote that down without confirming it with me. I then had to speak with two managers. Both were completely focused on explaining that it was a miscommunication, and that they would address it with the bakery team. I was not calling them because I wanted to understand the issue. I was calling because I was deeply disappointed, and I wanted the situation to be meaningfully addressed. The first manager didn't offer any resolution, and the second one offered the $15 extra fee to be refunded. But I would have to drive back to the store to receive. and I don't live close to the store. After spending $65 on a custom cake for a very important occasion, that did not feel like an adequate response. One disappointing cake would not have erased six years of positive experiences. What changed my opinion and trust was having to speak with two managers and still feeling that the disappointment, the money spent, and the loss of trust were never genuinely acknowledged.

I didn't have a lot of leeway, but I thought this would be a quick in and out. When I entered the side entrance, I saw a cashier, and I thought that would be perfect for checking out on the way out. I was having a hard time locating the Hardware section. I didn't see anyone to ask..so I just wandered in a direction I thought it would be. I finally found the Hardware section, but didn't see anything saying locks. Again, no one to ask, so I wandered the aisles. I finally found the combination locks. I made a beeline for the cashier I saw when entering the store. There weren't any customers in her area, she was having a conversation with a fellow employee. I walked over to the counter and the other employee left. I saw a closed sign on the counter, so I asked if she was closed, and she said yes. So I started to walk away to search for an open cashier. As I started to walk away, I looked back and there wasn't a closed sign on the register on the other side. So I asked her if this side was open and she said yes. So I said, OK. And she asked me "what was that?" And I said, "OKAY!" Why didn't she let me know that she could help me on the other side?? And the way she asked me, "What was that?" Was said with an attitude. So I said "OKAY" with an attitude back!

She said she was trying to figure out if I was asking for frozen food... I said, cold meds would be in a pharmacy section of the store and I think I see them down here. I was doing a delivery shop and they requested a covid test. I have never had to buy one as a unicorn who's never had a regular cold the last 6 years so I asked another stock person who had just answered a question for someone else. Thank goodness for him because I was looking in completely not the right place! I went into the self check. I was rolling around the store in a motorized cart. How nice that they are right at the door making it so easy. But it's awkward at any register. The sweet gentleman at self check came right over to me, unfolding a bag and helping me check out - it was so kind and saved me a lot of effort which I appreciate a great deal.

We live in a condominium complex with over 200 owners who voice this same sentiment during board meetings We now more often than not drive an extra 5 to 8 miles rather than even bother going there.
