I ordered a cranberry mule off their winter cocktail list which was served in a cute Ketel One mug. It was also Delicious!! My friend had a cosmo and said it was very good, dry, and "not too sweet not too alcoholy." We split the arancini which was AMAZING and the winter salad off the specials menu, which was also very delicious. For dinner, I had the mussels fra diavolo which was spicier than I imagined it being but still good. I even liked the mussels which isn't typical for me. It was served with a buttery and soft garlic crostini and linguini, but I could've just gotten it with a loaf of bread which I'll admit I was curious to try. We really enjoyed the live music and were a little disappointed when he left for the night and no house music started playing. The silence left a small hole in our experience. Overall? Great night. We liked the restaurant enough that we considered going to their sister restaurant across the street the following night, but ended up just having our leftovers from 421. Also, street parking!

The place is pretty casual which has table seating and seating up at the bar and food and drinks are ordered and paid separately with Bevis Bistro for food and Farm Road Brewing for drinks. I arrived here just before 5pm on a sunny fall day. The place was moderately busy and there was no line at the Bevis Bistro counter. You can also order food and drinks from your seat marking your choices on the plastic menus with black dry erase markers. I ordered directly from the counter since I decided on one of the specials, a Meatloaf Panini ($9 plus tax) and Loaded Tater Tots ($12 plus tax). The food was ready in about 10 minutes after ordering. The Meatloaf Panini was comprised of firm dense slices of meatloaf, melted cheese, onions, tomato, maple mayo between pressed slices of sweet bread. The Panini was served with salted potato chips (generic) and the dill pickle spear. The Loaded Tater Tots were a good sized portion of deep fried tater tots topped with real bacon bits, tomatoes, beer cheese sauce, onions, and sour cream on the side. Another patron at the next table ordered the Taste of Vermont Panini (turkey, bacon, cucumbers, apple slices, tomatoes, provolone, maple mayo), which looked really good. The food I ordered was pretty good. The staff was looking out the window commenting on the "tourists" crossing the skewed Main Street/North Street intersection with the painted piano compass in the center, skipping by the crosswalk. It was also mentioned that new businesses were going in across the street including a cafe, suggesting the cafe should be called the Butthead Cafe, lol. My usual rule of thumb is to avoid any and all ethnic food in Vermont. The majority of it is atrocious. But I was pleasantly surprised by my 3 visits to Ramunto's. This isn't amazing, extraordinary pizza, but it is very good. I haven't tried the calzones or anything else on the menu - and I've avoided the gimmicky pizza toppings such as buffalo chicken, etc. Just two slices and a pint of Sam Adams. Ramunto's is a little slice of heaven in an Italian food wasteland known as southern Vermont. read more
