This place was a fall in your lap place with the heart beat of the city life. I was full of great food and friendly service. The outdoor seating was warm on a cool night and so much great people watching with the holiday lights in full swing. As far as the food, I did say it was great however as being a dessert lover they were very lackluster and I would've ordered another glass of wine instead. Hence the 4 stars, I expected more.

Empty. No customers... 55 minutes after ignoring us!

Very rude young lady at the hostess stand. We were three minutes before opening at noon and she sent us to the next restaurant. We waited. When we walked back at 12:03 when they were open, she walked right between us and the hostess stand and not only didn't we speak, she did not even look at us. We are eating next door at Patio de Leones which is wonderful! It is now 12:53 and still no customers. Their reviews on trip advisor are more accurate than the ones I read here.

Very elegant setting, comfortable and exotic. Food is fantastic and in small portions. They have a great menu and service to go along with it. Definitely recommend it to get a taste of beautiful Madrid.

Near Puerta de Alcala in Madrid, you can find authentic Japanese fare with Mediterranean influence that combines, forming innovative gastronomic delights that can please a wide range of palates. Natsuki, part of Restaurant Ramses.Life, means "seven moons", and is a new take on Japanese cuisine. My friend and I were excited to try Natsuki, and finally had the opportunity to meet there for dinner one evening. The restaurant design is truly unique, and according to our server, took three years of development before décor was finalized. The ceiling is painted with bright watercolors in blues, pinks, greens and oranges, while traditional cultural décor accents the modern touches. I loved the King prawn tempura with spicy mayo sauce and shiitake mushroom. There was just enough spice to keep me on my feet, with the tender, fresh prawns packing quite a punch. He loved the blow torched tuna belly nigiri with spicy sesame oil the best, and claimed the seasoned sesame oil added the right level of heat and nuttiness. We also tried blow torched yellow-tail nigiri with aioli, which was fresh and delicious, which the aioli added creamy flavor that was perfect with the texture of the sushi. The same was true for the tiger roll, which is king prawn tempura with avocado and cream cheese, as the creamy texture of the avocado mixed with the prawns and crisp tempura delighted my taste buds. To finish our meal, we each ordered dessert. I enjoyed brioche torrija with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup, while his Mochi with mango ice cream, red berries and coconut foam was as beautiful as it was delicious. As if you needed more reasons to visit Ramses.Life, Natsuki comes highly recommended.

Awful service. You will sit and be ignored. Staffed by non-Spanish people that were rude. We just left before our drinks arrived.

Had menus in english, if you needed that, as well as English speaking servers. I loved how eclectic the menu was, seemed like there was something for any craving. We enjoyed the tomato tartare, salmon, duck tacos and the chicken tikka masala. Traditional Spanish cuisine is wonderful but if you're looking for a change I think you'll love this place!

Hello my friends, I…read moreknow it has been quite some time, but I'm coming at you with a Dan Hanis certified all-time great restaurant right here. Absolutely everything on this menu is delightful. I don't think you can go wrong anywhere. As I began my journey abroad, I roamed the streets of Madrid, and I happened to run into 4 lovely ladies. Catalina, Teresa, Alejandra, and the craziest of them all, my girlfriend Elizabeth! Elizabeth and I hadn't talked for a couple weeks since I left the family farming business. She was infuriated when she received the news that I was walking away from my destiny. She just didn't know if she could love someone who wasn't a farmer anymore. As I took a break from my cellular device, we hadn't talked since I left. Running into her in Spain was quite the surprise. She told me that I was just truly the greatest man in the world and that she would love me farmer or not. On her quest to find me, she became friends with these lovely ladies. To celebrate life we decided to have a lavish meal at Bar Tomate! Enough with the backstory, this restaurant is one of my favorites I've been to in the continent that is Europe. Sometimes it can get messy having a diverse menu, but Bar Tomate handles it with such class. To begin the night, I ordered a delicious Whiskey Sour (it reminded me of the beautiful fields of grain back in my homeland of the USA!). For my appetizer I ordered the ceviche which was absolutely mouthwatering. Every time I think of it, I immediately start to drool, so I try to limit myself from thinking of this incredible dish. The fish, onion, and avocado are just so well balanced with the acidic taste of the juice (I love juice). This dish makes it into the Dan Hanis Dish Hall of Fame. I cannot recommend this enough. For my entree, I ordered the chicken tikka masala. By no means was it the best I've ever had, but it was a delicious eat nonetheless. For dessert, after we'd been at the restaurant eating and drinking for a total of four hours, we ordered the brownie sundae. Bar Tomate had such a wonderful atmosphere, and the employees were in no rush to get us out of the door. To this day, Bar Tomate, gave me one of my favorite dining experiences, and I'll forever be grateful to them for it. It was wonderful to eat amazing food and make new friends. I can't wait to tell you about the rest of my journey across Europe. God Bless America and God Bless Food! Your glorious food king, Dan Hanis
