The locksmith named Chris is very defensive and unprofessional. When I got around to submitting a reimbursement form from AAA, I realized that he never gave me a receipt for my cash payment. So when I asked him to mail or email a copy there would be no problem. He claimed he emailed a copy and I checked my spam no email from him. I confirmed that I gave him the correct email. I again asked him to mail it or email the receipt. He responded by sending me a text link from Squareup.com, which one cannot print and told me that he has had many customers that were able to use the link. I went into AAA and was told they need a receipt with business logo, as I suspected. I am out $110. Horrible customer service! I do not recommend this place, but if you choose to use them make sure to get receipt upon services rendered. read more

Chris Ramirez, the owner, called me at 4pm regarding my negative review. He insisted the damage on my lock is how it comes [verifiably false]. I still said the same as I did during my phone call from 4 days prior: lock is working mostly correctly -- combo works but key just spins in place not moving deadbolt. All I asked was to fix the damage that was done. He insisted as was said during my call 4 days prior that he'd charge me if everything works. He kept bringing up other topics as well, including my military service, saying I misrepresented myself for pity. He'll have to bring that up with my Veteran's Affairs Dept rating, since he was convinced by the same ex-wife who convinced him to unlock my deadbolt that I wasn't injured on active duty, and reamed off several more claims in an offensive matter. Look, all I wanted was help to fix a lock he damaged so I can be safe. I never demanded, I asked. After the no-show and now this phone call, I wouldn't trust him to fix my tape dispenser. I'd guess if he came out, he'd fix the problem without me knowing, since I don't know locksmithing, then charge me because he said he would charge if he came out and the lock worked. I told him "the call is done, do not come over, I don't trust you." He then said he'd be filing a claim in court against me and also put a lien on my house. So basically, this guy is mad that he was tricked by my lying ex-wife to come out on a Sunday night and didn't get paid by her. Now he intends to make me pay for his mistake because I had the gall to ask for my lock to be fixed because he damaged it. It went further, he was angry, I finally had to tell him I'm going to hang up and did so. I then called the sheriff to report the incident. Made an appointment with this company four days prior to needing his services. Appointment was made through Key Me. An appointment window was given of two hours. He was a no-show and did not call. When I tried to contact him I only got voicemail. I will be leaving a negative comment for Key Me. They should not be contracting with him. I understand being held up. Situations do arise. After checking out my options on Yelp I called two other companies...one couldn't come for 5 hours and the other I had to leave a message and I still haven't heard back from them to this day! I trust my yelp friends for great reviews so I had to give back and share my experience. Chris was quick to respond and I called him at 8:01 a.m., I told him my situation and he quickly came out to meet me and re-key my entire home. He was polite and picked up after himself. A different locksmith was called by my elderly neighbor who quoted $30 but then arrived and tried to bully her into paying $100 to unlock her front door. I sent them away and called Ramirez out. He was polite, communicative on the phone, and upon his arrival he actually charged the amount quoted on the phone. Lately, I have been fortunate enough to run into businesses that deserves five stars. This place definitely is one of them. I was helping out a friend's daughter who accidentally locked herself out of her truck. I called and within minutes the locksmith met with us at the parking lot where the truck was app. It was very professional and very courteous. Chris Ramirez did exactly what he said he would do. He came to our house and gave us excellent service in a timely manner and beat out the competition by far. After we lost our keys, we had a dealership cut us two new keys that DIDN'T work. We called the Lock Doctors who referred us to Chris. Chris quoted a $20 service fee and $60 to make a new ignition key. To our horror, three other companies we called first quoted us over $200 to come out and make a new key! Chris ended up CORRECTLY making us an ignition AND door key for $80 total. I highly recommend him and plan on calling him again if we need a locksmith in the future. read more

AVOID THESE GUYS! Below is my old review before this update. I thought they could earn 4 stars because they were reachable, had a fair estimate and worked with me on price. The dealer near me ended up being only $30 more so I am going with them. Glad I didn't ever give these guys money because they can ignore my caller ID and have no location to go into and just disappear when they want to. So here's what happened and why they lost my service and Yelp review.... They answered calls and seemed good. On my last call when I placed the order of the key, one guy told me a down payment was required, but when I actually placed the order the guy said it wasn't. So on 2/5 I ordered the keys and they said 3-5 days, maybe closer to the 3 (probably lied to win my service) and said for sure no more than 7 days. On the 3rd day 2/7 I called to follow up and got through, they said thy would call me when it came. On 2/9 I still had no call back so I figured some times people are busy. Tried calling a few times and nothing all of a sudden they don't pickup phones. Then finally the number texts me "Please text me" so I do and multiple times without reply. So I get on a different phone and call in and of course they pickup. When I say who I am the guy Anthony who was cool before gets an attitude and says "Look I said I would call you when we get it, we haven't got it yet. W'ere super busy and you keep calling. We will let you know." and ended the call. So that pretty much let me know they had been avoiding calls from my number. I went back to Modesto from SF and waited all weekend until Monday for a call and tried calling in Monday and left a message. No calls, no keys, nothing. So I am using the dealer now and hope these guys eat the $500 cost of keys. Nobody but one guy in the area apparently does Volvo, all locksmiths in Modesto, Stockton and Tracy said only the dealer. Sounds like these guys lied or are a fraud. No keys, no service, no calls...probably because they can't do it or get the keys. All I wanted to do was make sure the key is still coming and not back ordered since there was no update for 7 days. OLD REVIEW: Currently a 4 star in my opinion only because I havent heard final number and havent had a service to rate, trying to get a key made (cut & programmed) for a car I just bought. Each call gets dispatched to a new guy but still they are quickly able to access the notes to my account and tell me the latest update. CALL 1 (2/2/18)- got an instant quote from a guy, quick, smart and easy going. Called around a bit more before calling back shopping for quotes. CALL 2 (2/2/18- (Chris was his name?), accessed my notes and had all the info, told me more about the process. I told him I might just go to the dealer because they are guaranteed and have all I need for certified parts, are reputable, and gave a better price by about $150-170 vs a locksmith company I've never heard of. He explained the convenience portion and fees they have but I would imagine they aren't marked up more than a dealer for parts/labor aside from Mobile convenience. He told me he would get me a call back about a better price. CALL 3 (2/3/18)- Anthony picked up and I checked in on the new pricing I was waiting for. He had notes that said they were still waiting on the boss to give a final number and that I was noted to be called back. Was happy to know the notes are being passed along. We talked a bit more and had a couple laughs, super cool guy. I think its nice that when you're shopping around they don't just blow you off and stop spending time on giving you good service. CALL 4 (2/5/18) - Unfortunately never got a call back so I called in. Anthony picked up again checked on status and saw a final number was submitted, got me a quote I couldnt turn down, a little above dealer but barely and with the convenience of to my door, I confirmed. Will update next when I have an ETA for service and service performed. Estimated 3-5 days, no downpayment for service was required. Not bad so far, as long as nobody forgets to make a complete/accurate order today. read more

Bruce's mobile locksmith left my door handle caved in, the screws was no where to be found, and the door could not even shut (which left my interior lights on)! This caused my battery to die along with my hope. I was not only without a new key for my car but now I had to fix my door! But thanks to this company, they got me back on the road! I would've given 5 stars if the scheduling wasn't so up in the air. The Tech came out later than the first appointment time but before the rescheduled time. Got right down to business and charged exactly what I was quoted per lock. I can appreciate a company that is consistent in pricing, others can learn a bit from that. Neighbor locked himself out of his house with his infant napping inside. He asked to use my phone to call a locksmith. Not sure what conversation took place between the neighbor and the owner but we called 3 companies in total to see who could arrive the quickest. Another company called and said they were 3 minutes away. Texted the owner of this company to let him know we found someone else that was available sooner. Owner called and in summary told me if this other company did not show up and we called him back they were not coming to help. I now understand why this business is rated so low across Yelp and Google. His tone was completely arrogant and unprofessional. This guy is an absolute scammer!! I would give him a 0 if I could! My car died and after I tried to get my key out of the ignition it got stuck and wouldn't come out. After calling roadside assistance I was told to call a locksmith. My husband and I tried to jump the car and couldn't do it because we needed to get into the trunk. When the guy got there he said he knew how to jump my type of car and as soon as it turned on the key came right out. He charged me $125 just for jumping my car! He said it was technically a key removal since it came out! This guy is a joke. He was right around the corner from my house when I called so it's not like he had to go far and it took him less than 2 minutes! He didn't do anything that even required a locksmith. This review is for Ramirez locksmith and locksmith doctors. I called to set an apt. and was told they would be here in 30-45 min..1hr and a half later they finally get to my place. I was quoted $75 for the total process, $50 just to unlock and $25 for the key. I was totally fine with that price. As one locksmith(pants sagging with underwear exposed) was unlocking the door the other was smoking out of what looked like a vape pen which had weed in it and blew smoke in the air which went into my face. As the locksmith is having trouble creating an exact key for the door, he asks if I'm in a hurry and I said yes. He then says well I can get the exact code for the door but I'm going to have to charge $45...hmm ok well I don't have an option right. The total ends up being $95 which was no problem but I would rather be told the exact price and process before any work is done.
