I'm absolutely addicted to Carne Asada and when I had to be in Brawley, I checked Yelp to find the best places in this small town. Ramey's intrigued me and I am damn glad I dropped by. Between Kennedy's and Ramey's there are no better Carne Asada places around Southern California. The Carne comes vacuumed packaged in 2lb packages where they make it right there. $18 for 2 lb. It was very tender and they use good cuts of beef. The recipe is very tasty with plenty of salt and pepper. I don't mind my Carne Asada salty and it meets the standard. Been coming down to Brawley for work for a while and just discovered this place. When I stopped by they had real Japanese A5 wagyu for $65 a pound. For those not familiar with A5 wagyu, it DOES not go for $65 a pound ANYWHERE. The stuff runs 20-30 bucks AN OUNCE at fancy steak houses. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because I only buy once a year when we spend thanksgiving in Glamis. I buy here knowing I'll get a fresh great quality Turkey the day before thanksgiving since RV refrigerators are to small to hold a frozen turkey. Always fast, friendly service. They just ask that you call and reserve the size you want so they have enough available. Plus they get about a hundred thousand campers out in Glamis so the stores sell out quick!! read more

Words cannot describe how good this meat is.... their tri-tip is just as delicious, if not better than the carne... absolutely delicious... they also ship all over the world.. this business is a small, family owned business and they are still "old-school" in their customer service. They do not have a machine to pay with debit/credit card as they don't want to pass on that cost to their customers so, it's either cash or check.... I asked about bounced checks and the response was, "if you bounce a check, you will never get their meat again and after you taste it, you will want to come back for more." Good motto!! read more

Tried their carne asada for the first time tonight and OMG WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING WITH MY LIFE??? I feel like I just tasted beef for the first time. It was no kidding the most tender, juicy, and most flavorful piece of beef I have ever put into my mouth. I didn't want to stop eating. Seriously, it was the frickin' bomb dot com. My only beef (get it? hahaha) is that they aren't closer to San Diego. Luckily I have family in the Imperial Valley who can hook me up. The whole world needs to experience Ramey's. It's true, this is the best carne asada anywhere. For those of you who think carne asada is supposed to be tough and gristly, you haven't tried the good stuff. I buy huge packs and freeze them for a rainy day. This is the only place outside of Texas that I would buy my steaks from. They do custom cuts and have the highest quality meat around. Nothing beats a 1.75" ribeye. Ask about their BBQ trays... Huge trays of meat already seasoned and ready to cook for a great price, could feed a small army. read more

Best doggon carne asada hands down. Recently had it for the first time after living close by for 10yrs. I don't think I'm going back to any other meat market around as long as this one exists.
