Got here around 6:30 on friday night and there were a decent amount of people already there. It took some nice for someone to come seat us but we got a table right away. We got ramen 1 and ramen 4, both were pretty good. I usually prefer thicker noodles but i liked the thin noodles in ramen 1 better than the thicker ones in ramen 4. They ran out of normal chopsticks so we got disposable ones which wasn't a big deal and Service wasn't bad either read more

This place was just ok for me. The soup was like warm at best. The tonkatsu wasn't as flavorful as I'm accustomed to. Staff was nice and friendly but I def prefer the other spot. Place was clean and nice. I probably will never come here again tho. read more

This place is still brand new so overtime, it should get better! I had the shoyu tonkotsu ramen (pork and chicken broth with pork belly). Overall, it was good. I believe it could have just a little more flavor but it was definitely fresh. Their noodles are made in-house. The spicy edamame had really good flavor and not too spicy! I was expecting the edamame to be served warm, but it wasn't. It still tasted good but I always like it better warm. They are currently hiring and definitely need more servers, but with them being new I didn't expect perfection. Overall, if you like Ramen, you should try this place out! Update: I had to go back and try something different! Number one was really good! The chef ended up stopping by the table and asking how everything was. He said they changed number two by upping the flavor since they have received a lot of feedback about it needing more. I'm shooketh!! Do you all know how hard it is for a girl to find authentic asian cuisine out here in Arkansas? Ramen Nara has so graciously blessed us with the gift of homemade Japanese ramen. I'm obsessed over these noodles-- you really just compare it to anything else. And the great thing is each bowl is only $12!!!! That's insane if you put into perspective the quality and authenticity that goes into each bowl. And I love both versions of the noodles- thin and wavy; go wavy if you like yourself a thicker noodle! My faves apps are the citrus wings and the takoyaki. Both have amazing flavor and were cooked to perfection. DO try the takoyaki here if it's a new dish to you.. I've never had better! Anddd DESSERT-- to end what was a very satisfying meal, I had some sesame ice cream(tastes like vanilla bean/coffee) and green tea ice cream! 5 stars all the way and I can't wait until the menu expands! This was my first restaurant at Arkansas and I loved it. Being a vegetarian, I ordered all the 3 options I had- Croquettes, Veg Ramen and Vegetable curry with rice. Good to see a veggie/vegan option on the menu for ramen. Veggie broth, tofu and lots of veggies and noodles. Vegans - be sure to order without buttered corn. Overall I'd give this ramen 3.5 out of 5 for flavor as the broth was a bit bland and the tofu had no flavor at all. A little chili garlic oil broth the flavors up to 4 star level. Pleased with quality and quantity of the ingredients just missing a bit on the flavor side. Good enough if you're in the area and in the mood, but not my favorite. read more

I think it's too soon to get a good feel for this restaurant. They are new and still in their "soft opening". It's a very limited menu - 4 entrees. All are about the same with a little variation in ingredients. The food was very bland for my taste, I expected something much more spicy. The building itself was very modern and decorated nicely. Very out of the ordinary for the Bentonville area. Let's give it a few weeks and try to again ansee if it gets any better. Back again. Leaving the review as it is. I'm not sure how this place has a 4 star review I have eaten here three times and it's always been the worst Ramen I have had. I keep trying it hoping it gets better. I love Ramen and I can't understand the reviews it's not good. It's depth is 0 the noodles taste like Sun noodles but as much as they skimp on broth I don't t think they are. My ramen tonight was plain chicken broth, with seafood that wasn't cleaned. It still had grit and sand in it. I really want local places to survive but again three times and I'm out. Great Ramen spot! The restaurant is super cute and service was great. We got in and out so quick at lunchtime. Ramen was very good, particularly on a cold rainy day. A pretty solid place and definitely the best ramen in NWA. Sometimes staff/service is a bit slow but the food has always been consistently good. The regular soup ramen options are very good, dipping ramen was okay. Curry items are very good. Apps are great. They have gluten free ramen too - and the chicken karage is gluten free as well. Don't bother with the "side of veggies" though- I got 1 broccoli and a few carrots last time. My SO has lived in Japan before and he approves of this place. Went with some friends and it was lovely! The place is nice, but cramped. They also don't plan for small kids as the tables are set quite close and doesn't do well with high chairs. The waiter was wonderful, but the guy who sat us was a bit clueless. Told him we had four adults and two kids. Sat us at a table for four and took the chairs and utensils for two. I think his idea was that the kids would sit there, but we had two more adults coming and the three year old was going to eat as well.... He then left and we had to ask our waiter to get the chairs and utensils back. Waiter was more than happy to help! We all got the same kind of Ramen, but it was great! Just miso with egg, pork, and veggies. It was wonderful. I will say, my husband said his pork in his Ramen was cold. Like most places like this, they add the pork last and the broth should be hot enough to heat it, but the broth they put in is not super hot. More warm. I did find that the bowls they use DO NOT keep the ramen warm for long so eat quick otherwise it will be cold fast. More a boujee place than a big group or family place. Ordered online and picked up in store on a Thursday, super easy process which I appreciated! I got the takoyaki because the pictures on here looked so good. I didn't love the shavings on top but the actual pieces were really good. They had a great flavor, the only downside was the pieces of octopus were just little bits that were pretty chewy. Not sure if this is how they always are, but it kind of threw me off. I got the #4 Miso Tonkotsu. The broth was rich and creamy, not quite as flavorful as I would like. The noodles were tasty! The pork chashu was too lean, I prefer it a little fattier, and a bit dry. The inside of the restaurant was really cute when I went in. I would definitely give it another try! read more

Finally, a decent place that's less than 4 hours away for some traditional Japanese ramen. Ramen Nara isn't like most other modern ramen places that have ditched the staple broth-focused bowl entirely for flashy fusion fare. They do offer some fun alternatives, but I keep going back for a simple and elegant bowl of ramen near the top of their menu. Even while they are takeout only due to a statewide lockdown! The "#2 Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen" is a blend of pork broth body and flavor perfectly tempered by the addition of chicken broth. It's an easy filler for the hole that Asari left in my heart after I left Honshu and Okinawa. I also grab some gyoza because I'm a sucker for everything dumpling. All of that being said, don't be afraid to get adventurous for some serious flavor. Apparently their Spicy Miso is hard to quit. read more

This is our second trip to Ramen Nara. Our first visit was the week they soft opened several months ago. They had a very small menu with only four Ramen options. We really enjoyed the expanded menu this trip- they had several Ramen choices as well as bowls and other items. The owner said that they had updated the menu based on customer requests, which I think is outstanding. We started with gyoza (pork dumplings) and I had the garlic miso chicken and my husband had the mazemen (and added a side of broth). The Ramen was very flavorful and I like how flexible the owner/kitchen is with slight adjustments or changes to your order. The bar offers beer and wine selections - a nice small selection of local beers on tap as well as Kirin and Sapporo. Very casual, relaxed atmosphere and a small bar. You have the option of regular or bar height tables. I'm really looking forward to eating upstairs at some point. Our server was Anna and she was fantastic - great personality and had suggestions and opinions when we asked about the menu. We will be back! read more

App of the spicy edamame was extra yum with sea salt, sesame seeds & lovely unspecified heat & the wowing crunch factor!! I'm from Dallas and we came here on our way back from a family road trip. We were really pleasantly surprised by the amazing aesthetic and decor or the place! It's very modern and fitting for a ramen restaurant. Right away the servers are extremely welcoming and helpful. They give you great suggestions and were very organised with our group of 11 people. Their chicken karrage is so good! The sauce is to die for and the chicken is fried to perfection :) The ramen is great! It's definitely comparable to some of the best places we have in Dallas. The Chashu is so tender and yummy and the noodles are cooked perfectly. I'd have to say the soup is slightly salty for my taste but for me ramen is usually more on the salty side. The chilli sauce they have on the table is completely home made and adds such a great kick to your ramen. I would definitely recommend adding some if you can handle some spice! The pricing is like most ramen places we have in Dallas. A bowl will run you about $12-14 which is quite reasonable considering everything is hand made and done in house.
