My boyfriend, daughter and I recently visited here. It is a nice big restaurant with plenty of space. They welcome big parties! The food was so amazing. You can tell they put a lot of work into the recipes. We ordered a little of everything and were able to eat it "family" style with the ease of the lazy Susan on the table. The servers were very attentive and we even heard about how the restaurant came to be! You have to try the ube cheesecake. It is amazing! They also have a little shop at the entrance with all items being reasonably priced. I didn't do it, but they have special rooms for karaoke. While dining, you cannot hear the karaoke. We went in at a weird time (Saturday at 3:30pm) expecting the lunch menu but were pleasantly surprised to have access to the dinner menu. Staff was nice, service was quick, and we got to learn a lot about the origins of the dishes we did have (which were Elote ribs, and Sweet and Sour Shrimp with garlic rice). We had the best time here. Some of our friends invited us, vouching for the great food. They also booked the private karaoke room for two hours and we were in heaven. The staff greeted us in the karaoke room, explained the setup, explained that the full menu is not available in the room (but we were still very well fed), and additional staff provided great service in the room. We loved the food, the beverages, and on this particular night we got lucky with a flexible ending time to our booking of the room because no one had it booked after us. Additionally, when outside of the room (in the main dining area), you cannot hear the music/singing going on inside the room. We had a great time and look forward to returning. The place looked very inviting and it was packed when we walked in. However, there was nobody else in front of us waiting to be seated. The lady "manning" the reception was just there, not acknowledging that we walked in. It took her about 10 minutes to do so, and then she asked us to wait a little longer which we were happy to do anyway. There were no seats available for us inside so we volunteered to sit outside. The owner was helping another couple about the menu, and then just left. Didn't even ask us if there was a drink we wanted while we waited. We waited. And waited. Nobody came to greet us, or give us a menu. We waited some more and finally someone came and gave us a menu and drinks. And then we waited some more for someone to take our order. Someone eventually came to do it. They also eventually let us sit inside when there was a table available. There were a couple of groups I noticed that had left without their order because they had been waiting so long. Even the young family who were seated before us were still waiting for their food when we were moved to sit inside. They gave us our order, one of them is a platter-sized sisig that is supposed to serve 2-3 people. It definitely does NOT serve 2-3 people. Two "speculations" I have for why I think we were served such a small amount of a platter-sized serving: * I think they were probably running out of the meat for the sisig that night (adobo was sold out) that they tried to stretch out the remaining meat for the night * or they mixed up our order and gave our platter size to a different table and we got the half-platter size. Whatever it is, for $36 the serving size we got was very unreasonable and overpriced. I felt the servers needed to be trained more in making sure the guests were taken care of. Waiting for more than 15 minutes just to get a menu and a drink is very unprofessional. Also some tables needed to be bussed (this was around 9:30pm) and the place wasn't as busy anymore at that point and yet none of the workers were clearing out the dirty dishes. I counted 5 tables. Also having to have waited 1 hr and 20 minutes from the moment we walked in to the time we were given our orders was a bit too much. If this kept on, they would have more guests walking out on them and never coming back which is sad to think. I hope they can fix that sooner than later. All that said, the food was really good. That, and the ambience, is what my 3 stars are for. We love sisig and it didn't disappoint (although the Kapampangan version doesn't have eggs). The place looks very inviting and cozy. I would like to try again next time to try the other dishes and one of the karaoke rooms (not soon though to give them time to work out the kinks). read more

First experience with Filipino food and it did not disappoint. Food came out piping hot, they had Christmas music going in the background, and they got our food out super fast. Our server did a great job at explaining what everything was! Lasang Pinoy is probably one of the best restaurants in NWA. Everything about the service, ambiance, and food is top notch, and I'm already looking forward to coming back again. LP is not too far from Downtown Rogers and Bentonville, and is one of a few businesses in a strip mall with a huge parking lot. Our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming (I feel bad that I'm blanking on her name). We were an indecisive bunch, so she helped our party of 6 decide on how many dishes to order family-style. We ended up getting the tortang talong dip (eggplant omelet-inspired dip), kare kare braised short rib (braised rib with peanut sauce), pancit, sinigang (sour soup), lechon (crispy pork belly), turon (banana lumpia), and coconut bibingka (like a baked mochi) for dessert. No leftovers for us, because we demolished everything. I enjoyed every dish, but I am always partial to good, crispy lechon, and was thoroughly impressed by the tasty, creative tortang talong dip. The eggplant was blitzed into a babaghanoush-like dip with fish sauce and lime, and we used fried egg chips to scoop it up. Absolutely delicious. Food aside, the interior is beautifully decorated and cozy, despite being spacious. They not only have a bar, but also private karaoke booths, where you can order a kamayan feast in advance where everything is served on a long table covered in banana leaves. The waitress also told us that they regularly have karaoke nights in the restaurant, and that the chefs will periodically come out of the kitchen to sing. :) Currently plotting my return and the karaoke song I will be belting! read more

As a young lad raised in a half-Filipino household, it was often my extremely Filipino grandparents would visit and cook with my mother for us. This lasted for many years until one by one, my siblings and I left the nest but not before becoming intimate with the tastes of authentic lumpia, pancit, caldareta, adobo, lechon, and my absolute favorite paipatan. Sadly, I don't see my grandparents as often anymore as they live across the country, so one could imagine my emotional experience after discovering that this spot, Lasang Pinoy in Rogers, AR, is cooking up flavors that are just as good as when I was a child. I straight up had an Anton Ego (Ratatouille) moment in their beautiful restaurant and life suddenly seemed brighter. The lechon melts in your mouth after the skin crunches. I could eat one hundred rolls of the Shanghai lumpia and be ready for more. Honestly, it could have been my mother in the kitchen cooking the pancit and I would never have known. I called my grandparents that night and checked in on them. We visited this new restaurant in the first week of their official opening and you wouldn't know it by the service. Everything was in place, organized and staff was trained very well. The space is really well done and they have 2 karaoke rooms to rent by the hour. I started with the Ground Beef Lumpia, I have never had this and it was excellent. The dipping sauces were very good as well. I then had the chicken adobo which was really good and very tender. The season and sauce it was in was very good. My wife and I had the full platter and between this and the appetizer we couldn't eat it all, so my wife had enough chicken and rice for lunch the next day. Cocktails were interesting, banana old fashion was yummy! Service was very friendly and bingo is alway fun, especially with good food and friends. We were genuinely excited to try this restaurant. We'd been supporting them on social media since they announced their opening and couldn't wait to finally experience it. We made a reservation for a special date night and truly wanted to enjoy it, especially since they're offering something different to the local food scene. Instead, we left extremely disappointed. We arrived right on time and were seated promptly with a warm welcome. The bartender even joked that we'd come at the perfect time since the earlier rush had passed. Then we sat. No one greeted us after being seated by the hostess. No water either. Several staff walked by our table repeatedly without acknowledging us. One of us eventually got up to ask for help, but even then, service didn't come right away. After 20 minutes, the hostess noticed we were still sitting with nothing and brought us water. Five minutes later, we received menus. The hostess then flagged down a server, who told her we weren't in his section and pointed to someone else. That person eventually came over and said she hadn't seen us in her system as being her table. We were seated clearly on the open patio, with only three other small tables nearby. She had been serving two tables directly behind us, so close we could hear what they ordered. Meanwhile, we watched guests seated after us receive menus and service immediately. At the 45-minute mark, we finally got our order of one appetizer and one cocktail each, totaling $60. The mood was gone. We didn't stay for dinner. Before we left, she told us we could just hit zero on the tip screen. We didn't. We still tipped. With over a decade working in hospitality as both a server & bartender, I know mistakes happen and bad nights are rough. But awareness, attention, and basic guest care should be non-negotiable, especially in a family-run restaurant where hospitality should be everything. The space is beautiful. The concept is exciting. But after that initial welcome, what followed felt careless. We even saw another table behind us receive compensation for poor service (which we didn't). That's not what we were looking for. We simply wanted to feel tended to and have a good night. There's potential here. But the guest experience has to match the vision. Ours didn't. read more

I have eaten in a lot of 5 star restaurants in the Philippines and this food is right up there with the best of them. The food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. I was only going to be in Rogers, AR for one night so I ordered more food to take with me to my next stop. Even warmed up in a microwave oven the next day, this food is delicious.
