After hearing very positive things from my friends and family, I decided to try out The Foreman myself. Overall, I enjoy the atmosphere. It's very dark and well decorated, and I found it to be exceptionally easy to hold a conversation as it wasn't too loud. The menu is a little confusing, as you have to flip back and forth between the pages using the key to discern what type of alcohol is in each drink (there are symbols next to each drink with no mention of the actual alcohol). Ultimately, I ordered a drink which I enjoyed but wasn't blown away by. Overall I did really enjoy my time here and would happily go back and try other drinks. However, the three other people I was with found it to be incredibly pretentious. Things like unlabeled beer taps might look cool, but they concerned the beer purchaser among us. I'd go back, and plan to, but would recommend you just prepare yourself for a very trendy, hip bar. If that's what you're looking for, this is the place for you. One final note, I'm not sure how accessible this bar is for handicapped individuals. I'm fairly certain the only way to get to it is via the stairs. read more

This is a little hidden gem located on the 2nd floor within the Onyx Coffee Lab building. Don't let the size fooled you, the Foreman can make some nice and serious cocktails. After we finished enjoying Onyx coffee, we were curious about this cocktails joint (Co-space) upstairs. There was only two bartenders working at the time. They are very friendly and since we didn't seat in their bar area, they delivered our drinks to our table. Let's talk drink - the Naked and Famous caught my eyes because of the herbal essence in it. Sure enough, it has Green Chartreuse and aperol in it. It's a very friendly drink and smooth and exotic. Not those flush with fruit juice kinda friendly type. I couldn't get any hint of saffron though. I highly recommended the mugo if you like smoking gun and old fashioned. It's a very good alternative. The pine smoke came through very well and balanced by the citrusy of the orange. It serves over a large cube of ice. I have to be honest, this place is pretty small and you might have to wait for a bit to be served. But the price of the drinks are reasonable and I enjoy their creativity in mixology. read more

It's obviously overpriced - but more than that, they made the menu absolutely unapproachable. The tasting notes, at least I think that's what they were, included things like 'fresh asphalt' and 'Harry Potter.' It was just odd. It was as if the menu was confusing on purpose. The staff is great, but you find yourself asking "Why did I choose here?" I've been here before and the vibe was different and the menu was clear and the drinks were good. But there seems to have been a change. I get the urge to try fancy and new drinks, but those are available at other more comfortable and less pretentious places. I give this two stars for the ambiance and well made drinks. I've been four times, three with a group of friends. Every, single, time, I get the distinct feeling that I'm disturbing the staff. At first I thought perhaps one or two on that day were having a bad day, but after four times I must conclude rudeness is encouraged by management. Each time, my group of half dozen well dressed, well comported, clients were audibly dissuaded from sitting around the cool padded area. Grudgingly, we have always been allowed to sit. I had thought perhaps a large group was expected soon and that was their reason to resist. None ever showed. It's often empty there. I stopped going to the foreman after the third such experience, but my friends recently wanted to go so I joined in hoping for my first, warm greeting. None was given. So, in this region of NWA, where waitstaffs do an extra fine job of hospitality, you find yourself longing for rude service, this is your spot. Test the place and see if you don't agree. Drinks were good and very well thought out. No doubt about that. But the bartender wouldn't look at us much less speak to us, greet us, glance at us, give us a menu, ask us what we wanted. It was very weird in my opinion. We did all our ordering through the bar back after he noticed us not being helped. Which was great, as he was nice, and helped us with the menu (which is a bit cryptic by the way) and was somewhat knowledgable about the cocktails. The old fashion came with an old fashion donut which was def the highlight. The space is lovely, but it is tricky to find if you have not been. It is upstairs, overlooking Onyx, the coffee shop. They do have a few food items if you need a small snack, which is always nice. We did not order any items but they looked good. Don't overly plan on returning any time soon. This has to be my favorite cocktail bar in NWA, not only is the environment so unique with its dark space and good accents. But the cocktails are out of this world. You can tell the staff really cares about putting out a quality product. This is a bar that belongs in NYC, LA, Seattle but I am happy it's here! The gin and tonic is a must try! read more

I don't think I have ever written a review, but I had to talk about how great this place was. My first drink was ordered from their cocktail menu and I think it was called the Gin and Gen. it was fantastic. If I could only drink one more cocktail for the rest of my life-that would be it. After that, I asked the bartender to make me something with my favorite gin (Hendrick's Midsummer Solstice) and he made a spectacular drink inspired by a Negroni. The bartenders were very friendly, attentive, and were having fun while doing their jobs well. I would highly recommend stopping by, and I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

Went in on a 95 degree afternoon. Talked to Brendan about ideas for something to beat the heat. He came up with a mescal, Amaro (Pasubio), French Amer (Bigallet China China') cocktail with a slight touch of saline? It was genius! This place has a fantastic feel, situated over an amazing coffee shop/bakery. Definitely one of the best bars in NWA! read more
