Everything we ordered was good except for biting into the Shumai and something hard as a pebble was inside of it. When we told the waiter he said he would tell the owner. He never came back until it was time for the check but still didn't mention anything. So I asked what did the owner say about the pebble in the Shumai and he stated the owner said they don't make them they are prepackaged and it's not their fault. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! If there is a star lower than 1, I would give it to this place!!! Food was ok, service was so so... the waitress served us our food but forgot the utensils. We had to ask for it. But that's not a big deal for me. What really offended me was when we got our bill, we paid $100.00 in cash. When the waiter gave it to the cashier (I'm not sure if she was the owner) she took a while examining the $100.00 cash that we gave her... she even showed it to I guess the manager and they both were examining the bill as if trying to figure out if it was real or not. Waiter went back to our table with the money and said that they will not take the money and if we have a credit card instead. I asked him why and according to the cashier/owner? The machine won't take it. We refused to pay with a credit card coz we didn't get a valid reason why they won't take our cash. Waiter went back to the owner but he left our cash on our table which at this point she was talking to someone on the phone. It took her a while on the phone so we were just sitting there clueless to what's gonna happen. When she was done the waiter went back to our table and said that they will take our cash, which made me a bit confused. I asked the waiter why they changed their mind about the situation and according to him, the cashier/owner? Spoke to someone on the phone and told her it's ok to take our cash. Which made me irritated because it didn't make any sense why they refused our cash in the first place! I got really offended! Was she discriminating against us? It's not like we look like the type of people who would scam others! Was it because of our race? Good thing there weren't many people in the restaurant coz it was really embarrassing for us going through that! I asked the waiter again why all of a sudden they took the cash and all he could say is that the"machine" didn't want to take our cash coz it's an older $100.00 bill and the machine supposedly only take new ones, which is totally bs coz I've never heard of such a thing. And still that doesn't make any sense! All I can say is we feel we were discriminated against and the embarrassment that we had to go through ! They Didn't even apologize!!! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO RAMEN BOY EVER AGAIN!!!! People there are ignorant and good at discriminating people. This place was incredible! From nice parking, to clean restrooms, amazing flavorful food and excellent service! We had the spicy garlic edamame. OMG to die for! So much garlicy! We also had the Tori Red ramen! Again OMG to die for! The perfect amount of spices combined to make this juice so addicting. The chicken was ok, lol. The Ramen here is awesome! I learned about it here on Yelp. After reading the reviews, I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered take out for my wife and I. Let me tell you, we weren't a bit disappointed. I ordered pork Donkotsu and she got chicken. I usually always order extra meat in mine, because I'm "that guy". If you're a big meat eater, I suggest you do the same. My wife was satisfied with her portion of chicken. We had it for dinner and had what was left for lunch the next day. Next time we plan to eat there. It looked nice and cozy. The cashier was nice, but we didn't have any interaction with the wait staff. If it's anything like the quality and taste of the food, I know we'll have a pleasant experience. I recommend Ramen Boy, and have already told other people about it! read more
