Ramen 101 is located near the Great Wolf Lodge. This is one of the non-resort dining we checked out. The restaurant is small, only 6 tables or so. The server was able to put a couple of tables together for our party of eight. The menu is on the table. You order at the register and the food is brought out to you. The food didn't take out too long. We had ramen and bento boxes. Both were delicious and flavorful. The beef teriyaki wasn't too dry or overly sweet. The server was nice enough to bring us additional plates for the kids. We had asked for plastic utensils for the kids and it caused some confusion for the staff. When dining in, utensils (soup spoons, forks) are provided. Plastic containers are for to go orders. read more

Super friendly cozy place! We were not very thorough in checking it out before we arrive, we saw ramen and a lot of stars and thought perfect! We did call ahead to see if they had a table available for 7 as even larger restaurants sometimes struggle to accommodate my large family and she said she'd do her best to hold it for 20 minutes. We thought that was a funny response but we were 10 minutes away so we headed right over. Once we got there we realized why she said she'd do her best. This place is very small. There's maybe 8 tables total and they'd shoved a couple together with a reserved tag for us. We ordered and were impressed with how quickly all of our food came out. Everything was delicious. We all ordered different things and all tasted a little of each others. Even the picky ones with us found items the enjoyed, while those more adventurous were also happy. The noodles were cooked to perfection. I've never enjoyed bean sprouts so much in my ramen before. Idk what they do with theirs here that made them so good. We would definitely eat here again. I'm not a huge fan of ramen, but my family is so we gave this place a try, and we will be coming back for more! Service is exceptionally friendly, fast, efficient, and accommodating despite the small dining area. We visited in the afternoon and it was busy, almost to full capacity. It's not an intimate setting as the tables are fairly close to each other and usually that is a drawback for me, but as I mentioned above, the friendly and fast service will get me to come back with those in my family that enjoy ramen. We were looking for something with soup for dinner since it was a rainy day. We were greeted promptly and given a menu. The restaurant is small, but the tables can be moved and combined. We were a table of 7 and we were able to sit comfortably. When you are ready, order at the register. Food came out quick. The soup was really good, the egg was great too. I tried the soup for the black garlic ramen too, that was very good too. The char siu was ok, the noodles were a little on the softer side for me. The chicken katsu was surprisingly good, the beef teriyaki was a bit too salty to me but I really liked the rice that came with the bento. Lunch date with my little girl! She loved her bento box. The portion size is huge. The food was hot and fresh. The place is small seat probably 20 total, but they are really good about getting you a table. My daughter was happy with her dinner! I got the black garlic ramen noodles. We don't have a lot of ramen restaurants in the area, so I was excited to see Ramen 101 in Manteca. I was able to conveniently place my takeout order online. The online ordering process was extremely easy to navigate. It was simple to add or remove specific toppings from the order. When I arrived, I was surprised to see the restaurant is pretty small. They have a small seating area to the left and right sides. I'd say the seating can accommodate about 15-20 people total. This makes for very limited seating, so plan accordingly if you plan to dine-in. When I arrived, my to takeout order was complete by the estimated time indicated in the confirmation email I received . I ordered the black garlic ramen bowl and it was delicious. The broth was still very hot by the time I made it home. They separate the broth in a different plastic Tupperware from the noodles, which is nice. They also provided me with what I thought to be a generous ramen to broth ratio. If you're craving ramen, check this place out. read more

Was staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and needed to to eat something other than burger and pizza. Ramen 101 was a solid place to break away from the American fair J had at the resort. I had a party of six, we had miso, shoyu, chicken and tonkatsu ramen. I think the shoyu and chicken were the best. Tonkatsu was supposedly popular but it wasn't as flavorful as I expected. Maybe needed some spice (I got no spice so we all could try). Ramen was solid though, but I'm not usually a ramen guy so I take my thoughts with caution. Also had the karage and the tempura which were good for my son. Staff was nice, gave us time to order our food and fit us in their small place pretty quickly. The ramen is also servers super quick so you can really be in and out of here fast, also a reason they can make do with a small dining area because of the fast turnover. Service was great, we were seated fairly quickly, and they do not take reservation. We sat at a shared table, which we didn't mind. It's the same amount of space between the table next to us. I order the tonkotsu and added an extra egg. The broth was so yummy. I really like how flavorful it was and their firm noodles. The egg was on point, with gooey center. All together they are consistence with their other ramen locations if not better, really good flavors with all their broths. The place was pretty busy but at the same time it wasn't too noisy or crowded. This is now my go to spot for ramen. The restaurant is cozy and intimate - I'd recommend this for small parties of 4 only. Single diners would be very welcome here. There's an open kitchen vibe so you can watch staff make your ramen. This is a first dedicated ramen only spot so far that I've been to. I've had ramen at sushi restaurants being part of their soup section, but it's a different story. Anyhow I've been eating there a few times since their opening week which I had to believe was one time December 2022 being the first time I had. I've been there about 3 times including today. This location is small, so there isn't a dine in option really if it's packed especially on weekends. It varies from day to day. Of course you can always wait and come back. The service is good and they deliver your food to your table as long as you have a tent number, and along with napkins and utensils. Some days can be different where you'd have to flag down staff to get utensils if you didn't get any, and today this guy was overwhelmed with a pair of customers that kept changing their order or adding onto it that he overlooked getting me a soupspoon (there's sealed chopsticks in a canister just about on every or every other table so I helped myself to one). Quality is tasty and I think it's great for brunch as most ramen comes with a split soft boiled egg; I had a black garlic ramen bowl with nice slices of pork and bamboo shots and other things. This is a franchise and I've had it in Stockton and felt it lacked flavor but figured I'd try this anyways... the interior was cute and cozy- modern Asian vibes which were cute. They were fully committed as far as the tables- it's a fairly small location- maybe like 8-10 tables max inside. There were a few people waiting- seemed like uber/Postmates drivers. We ordered the chicken ramen, tonkatsu ramen, and gyozas. The gyozas were great and had the right amount of crunch and flavor. The ramen- was really meh- lacked flavor although we got spicy for one and xtra hot for the other. Finally a ramen spot in Manteca! This chain is pretty good, I've been to the Pleasanton and Stockton locations as well. The menu is the same and the food is consistent. Restaurant is kind of small so seating is limited. Lunch rush gets pretty busy so try to come a little early but to wait for a table doesn't take long as the food comes out quick. Once you enter you order at the register and they provide you a number if you are dining in. There is water cups and dispenser on the side. I placed my order through a delivery service and was not disappointed. When I order pho from places, I often struggle to find a bowl suitable for all of the ingredients when I get home. Not the case here! I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and added garlic, and the ingredients came in a bowl large enough to pour the broth into and not make a kitchen mess! (Apartment struggles!) I really enjoyed the flavor of the broth, as it had a slight hint of spicy, but not overbearing. (Ordered as spicy) Shoyu eggs have been my new favorite snack lately, so to have that in my ramen as well of course adds to the yum factor. While I chose to add the garlic, I find it wasn't necessary. The crab Rangoon was decent, but nothing that really separates itself from others. I had a bite of the chicken Kara-age and found it a bit underwhelming. I was expecting some type of flavor or spice to it, but it was rather bland. Perhaps our expectations don't match what it's supposed to be? Either way, I'm keeping with the 4 stars for now, as the Ramen is well worth the trip. read more
