I know this is listed as an Italian restaurant but has so much more. Of course all of their italian offerings are delicious. The mushroom caps are to die for. Great appetizer. But the star of the show as far as I'm concerned are their steaks. My wife had the filet and I had the ribeye. They were prepared perfectly and so very tender and juicy. One of the things I regret about my visit here is not taking any pics. However I was with new people and didn't want to be "that girl" taking pictures of her food. I mean, I could barely understand the waitress when she talked to us, so right then my expectations went up. Let's talk about the decor for a second... dated. I mean, really old. I noticed that being the norm in the restaurants I visited in Myrtle Beach, but whatevs. The entrees we ordered all came with a salad and unlimited garlic bread, which in my opinion resembled and tasted like the Texas toast from the box. Fortunately the entrees were a different story. They were good. I mean really good. The whole time we were eating everyone kept commenting on how good the food was. I had the lasagna. Each time we vacation in Myrtle Beach we have to come here at least once. Real deal italian food. 5 of us came for dinner a few weeks ago. I had the chicken parm/spaghetti, kids had fettucini alfredo and fiance had steak and spaghetti. All excellent food. Can't go wrong with this place if you're looking for some good pasta. I have eaten here twice now and I was impressed both times. The food is good and the service is excellent. I have had both the chicken parm and veal parm an both meals were very good. Others in my party had the lasagna, baked ziti, and the spaghetti. All said their meals were very good. Very good food with a great variety of traditional Italian dishes. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Had apps and entrees all very good. Only complaint and not fault of place is the high tax rate on prepared foods in the county of 10.5%. Otherwise a good choice. read more

We got two basic spaghetti and marinara dishes and they were just okay. The sauce needed some spice or flavor because it wasn't much. The atmosphere was really great and it's been open for about 30 years, so it seems authentic. However, the prices (we got the least expensive item and still paid $11 & $14 respectively, as my parents split their plate and they charged $3 to do that). Amazing food, amazing service. 14 people in our party and no one in our group had a complaint. I had the seafood Alfredo myself and it was so creamy, the shrimp, scallops and mussels so well cooked. I'm only giving this restaurant 3 stars as their pasta and chicken parmesan was really good. A side salad is simply just pale green/white lettuce with a cherry tomato and two slices of cucumber. You can always depend on Ramando's for a great meal in Myrtle Beach. I started coming here with my parents in the mid 90's and now my wife and I come here every time we are in Myrtle. After reading some good reviews, i was really looking forward to a good meal. But I was quite disappointed from the start.... The bread was rock hard, don't get me wrong, i love a nice crispy crust, but it was rock hard all the way through. For the entrée, i had shrimp, which were well cooked but they tasted like they had been washed in a bath of bleach! Last minute excursion with the family to Myrtle Beach, SC this past weekend and loved this restaurant. I ordered the Italian sausage with penne pasta dish, son had pepperoni pizza, wife and daughter had Greek salads. The Italian sausage dish I had was lovely in every aspect. Onions, red and green peppers lightly grilled before they were put in the perfect red marinara sauce. Sons pizza was made with fresh, and I mean fresh pepperoni. The pepperonis were soft and not chewy like most restaurants. The salads were very nice, tons of feta cheese and black olives with the right amount of oil. The only drawback was the Italian bread provided, was a bit over done and too buttery. Prices were great across the menu. A come back place for me at MB! read more

It's ok, but don't expect good Italian food. It's more like food that's called Italian but the chef doesn't know what it's supposed to taste like. Had the shrimp scampi and it was greasy and too much lemon. I don't think they added anything else but garlic from a jar. Also we had the chicken Marsala, which should be called chicken with some weird brown sauce that tastes like soy and sesame and grease. Service was okay and knocked off a meal but oddly was very accepting of the fact that the food isn't great. If the chefs knew what these meals are supposed to taste like then i think they'd understand. Maybe chef Ramsey will come here some day. read more

The food was what you would expect for the price point. Our biggest problem was the service. Our waitress was terrible. She showed up to take our drink order and took a good 20 minutes to get a coors lite and a grasshopper. She took our order and did not come back until we had another waiter get her. This might be the worst Italian food we have ever eaten. I got the fisherman's platter. The grouper was like rubber, the crab cake was disgusting and the scallops tasted old and fishy. My one son got spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce had no flavor. My other son got the "adult" portion of lasagna. It was about 2 inches by 2 inches and again the sauce was without flavor. My wife got pasta primavera with chicken (which is an additional charge for the chicken). The chicken was almost nonexistent. Save your money and find a real Italian restaurant. read more

We come to myrtle beach,usually off season from NC. We forgot that summer time people were already down & we couldn't find a place to eat without a 2 hr wait so we came here by accident. The bread & appetizers, awesome.
