We did some research on Yelp, we needed to have the sidewalks on the side and front entrance of our home repaired/replaced. I messaged Ram Concrete via Yelp and received an immediate reply from Laura and Jennifer. This is a family owned business with positive reviews which all was a plus. They came out right away to measure the areas of work to be done and discuss options with us. After receiving multiple bids, and reviewing reviews, we decided to go with Ram. They were comparable in pricing, their customer service, response time, and flexibility to our needs was fantastic. We asked for various options in the bids with different price points that would allow us to pick the scope of work that worked in our budget. We opted for a demo of our sidewalk on the side of the house as an old tree had lifted and damaged it and replace with new concrete. And on our front sidewalk we opted to have the old tiles placed by the previous owners removed, they then ground down the existing cement and poured a layer of cement over the existing then stamped, colored and sealed it. We were extremely pleased by the work and courtesy of the crew. The also were very careful placing plastic on our walls prior to the work, cleaning up and also calling the call before you dig hot line to have one of the areas scoped our for potential power and utility lines in the way. We got 5 bids for a concrete slab for our hot tub. Most of the bids were pretty close in range, so we took a chance with this family-owned business because they gave us the most detailed bid in writing, presented several options for design and size and they explained the process to us so that we would know what to expect from them. Time was of the essence because we only had 30 days from the date of purchase to the day of delivery of the hot tub, but they stayed in communication with us and were helpful answering all of our questions and gladly accepted the revisions we made along the way. One was for an extra unspecified charge for any tree removal even though tree removal was supposed to be included in the price. Instead of fixing them, she got angry and dropped me as a client. They just completed a multi-part job at my house, including a number of new slabs for the front entrance walkway and a paved section of the back yard, capping the brickwork and grouting bricks along the dividing line between my property and a neighbor, work that had been left undone for some reason by previous owners, and cutting out and pouring new concrete for a narrow section of crumbling concrete running along the front of the garage floor right beneath the garage door. Throughout the entire process, from initial visit to examine the job and determine cost, to doing the job, they were friendly, informative, communicative, and on time, except for the need to return to fix one element that wasn't as I wanted it. I plan to use them again next year to rebuild a section of my backyard block wall where a number of the lower blocks have deteriorated. read more

In explaining to RAM's business owner Laura, in partnership with her father, my reluctance to use ANY contractor without first consulting Yelp, she not only understood but agreed! She gets it--bad reviews cannot be removed by the vendor. Only the reviewer or Yelp themselves can make that horrific one-star review go away. And for that reason alone, businesses realize the days of cutting corners and/or screwing the public with impunity are long gone. With that as a baseline, RAM's prices for my small project were far from cheap. But, I also realize we tend to get what we pay for. With RAM's impossibly flawless 5-star review record, I knew my hard-earned dollars would be well-spent since I wanted my small utility shed foundation to be perfect. My demands AND expectations were met and exceeded! Raymundo, the job foreman, was personable and professional. He spoke fluent English with me and communicated en Español with his coworkers such that their team performed like a well-oiled machine. Even though my 9' by 11' pad was tiny by their normal project standards, they treated it like it was a foundation for a major Vegas Strip hotel, employing a spinning head laser leveling system, making certain the pad was level and plumb. They quickly framed the pad prior to the concrete delivery truck's arrival so as soon as the "mud" arrived, they were immediately filling and leveling the cement. Their work was completed by early afternoon and they left only after ensuring I inspected every last detail and signed off on the final results. When I've reviewed awful businesses and/or service providers I've lamented that Yelp does not allow ZERO stars reviews. Conversely, I wish I could deliver SIX stars to the fine folks at RAM. Without any reservations whatsoever, I highly endorse RAM for your concrete needs. You simply cannot go wrong with Laura and crew! read more

Really can't say enough good things about Ram Concrete, and how they dealt with us. We were looking to address issues with flooding and drainage, caused in part by a faulty drain previously installed by a different company. Ram came out promptly, surveyed the property and inspected the existing drainage, then quoted and completed the work quickly and professionally. Contacted Ram Concrete early November 2023 to schedule an appointment to completely refurbish our concrete pool decking that was severely cracked around the pool edge perimeter. Owner/President Laura Correa arrived on Tuesday, November 14th. to inspect and estimate the scope of work required. She was on site about one (1) hour, documented and measured what needed to be accomplish to bring the pool decking back to standards. Assured me I'd receive her written proposal/estimate the following Friday, November 17th. Never received any further communication from her or Ram Concrete, today is Tuesday, December 5th., three (3) weeks subsequent. If the size and depth of our project exceeded her company's capabilities, she should have been candid and straightforward with the truth. "Ghosting" potential customers is by no means conducive to establishing future relationships in my opinion. This is clearly a dubious entity at best, not a professionally managed company by any stretch of the imagination. One thing that really shows when a service provider is good, is when they make a mistake they fix it. EVERYONE makes mistakes sometimes. They accidentally damaged part of the wall on the side of my house with some of their equipment and they fixed it right away. I also had them repair and resurface a driveway at another property and they did a great job with that too. They showed up on time, finished in a timely manner, even helped me set up temporary fencing to keep random cars off the wet concrete.
