Jake from Rock N Block visited with us and planned out our back yard. He gave us our estimate and we signed happily. He was so pleasant to work with from start to finish. Rock N Block kept us informed of the start date and everything was as smooth as silk. The crew showed up on Monday morning and worked so hard in the hot sun. On Wednesday evening they were done and it looked incredible. If you are looking for a professional no nonsense company, this is the one to hire. We are so pleased with their work.

He was so informative, patient, honest, and truly cared about making sure we understood every step of the process. You can tell he genuinely takes pride in what he does. We had 5 estimates and so glad we went with JJ! We have 3 cars and only way to the front door was walking up the driveway- we needed a pathway to the door. He took our idea of simple, clean and functional and turned it into reality! The entire project was scheduled quickly, and I honestly could not believe they completed everything in just 3 days! Our neighbors were shocked too! The difference is night and day. What used to be an overwhelming desert jungle is now a gorgeous, clean, peaceful space that we absolutely love. It looks even BETTER than I imagined possible. Every time we walk outside, instant smiles. The yard feels bigger, brighter, and so much more beautiful. The crew was great and worked incredibly hard! They paid attention to every detail, and completely exceeded my expectations in every possible way. If you are even thinking about redoing your yard, call Rock N Block Turf N Hardscape and ask for JJ -you will not regret it!

The other half was epoxy with a colored flakes combination which could no longer be matched. So, I contacted Ben who offered options to beautify an ugly patio. We decided to go with stripping the painted section and grind out the existing epoxy section and re-epoxy the entire patio. It was a bigger job than I expected. Ben and his crew: Gabe, Julio, and Bryce work tirelessly for several days to complete the job and finished on schedule. We had excellent communication with the crew and the entire work area was cleaned up at the end of each day: windows, doors, screens, yard, etc! My wife and I are delighted with the results. Here are some photos of "before, during, and after" to see what was done. It is so refreshing to work with honest, talented, and hard-working people like those at Treidgen.

I'm so sorry that this review is 2 years overdue but I can't recommend Brown Masonry and Mr. Brown…read moreenough. Yelp really came through with this find. It was nice dealing with a veteran owned business that feels really personal with a hands on owner. For some stupid reason 1 side of my wall was basically missing a row of blocks. I've always HATED that my neighbor and I could stare into each other's patio doors without trying. I never wanted to offend him by asking to build the wall up but I took advantage to bring it up as they were moving out. He said yeah he hated it too so go for it. He's on the HOA board so my architectural request got approved within days and the search for a mason began. I got a bunch of responses to my Yelp project request with some saying they don't do small jobs like mine, some crazy quotes of 2k (assume that was F off pricing). Luckily Mr. Brown responded with an incredibly fair quote after I sent details and photos and I think he stopped by the next morning to drop off samples to make sure the colors matched. We got it scheduled pretty quickly and his in person quote was a little lower than the text quote, which has never happened before. It really says what a good and honest person you're dealing with. His guy came out on time, was nice and did a great job. The only issue was that I didn't think I had to mention the mortar should match the existing not match the block color. I didn't pay attention and only caught it after it was done. Mr Brown came out to take a look and his suggestion was to cover the brown mortar with grey. It's not an exact match (I knew it wouldn't be) but it's good enough and I really appreciate his quick response. Masonry work isn't something that comes up often but I will use Brown Masonry again any chance I get. Thank you so much Mr. Brown

I was tired of the low quality solar landscape lights I was using, and I wanted a more permanent…read moresolution that was not dependent on how much sun was hitting it during the day. The solar lights petered out quickly in the winter or after a cloudy day. I went to my trusty Yelp app and came across Las Vegas Backyards and their many five star reviews. I sent information about my project through Yelp, and I received a response the next business day to setup an estimate. The project manager was very thorough, and he explained his recommendations for the project while keeping aesthetics in mind. The estimate was right in line with what my research had told me was an average price for this type of job. I was, however, a little surprised that the project manager did not arrive with a catalog of various lighting fixture choices to peruse. He did send several photos of his recommended fixtures later that day based on our preference for something modern. Communication was quite good through a group text with all the respective players involved. The date for the install was arranged within a week or so of my inquiry. There was a slight snafu on installation day, as the fixtures we had chosen were sold out. We were sent photos of alternative choices and were able to find a contemporary design that was to our liking. The first part of the installation took about a half day with trenching, running power lines, and installing the fixtures. The second day was a quick installation of the transformer. I was happy to see they had installed a smart transformer with WiFi access and an app to set schedules. I do wish they would've gone over this ahead of time to discuss what type of transformer would be installed (again, I am glad they picked a smart model as that's exactly what I wanted). Unfortunately, one of the spotlights was found to be defective by the installer during their testing. They returned the next afternoon to replace it. Payment was handled in phases with certain percentages due at certain points in the installation. Payment is easily made online with a credit card, but unfortunately there is a surcharge for this type of payment. They do have other payment options if you want to avoid the surcharge. Now we have a wonderful, gorgeous, and very upscale looking landscape lighting setup that really increases the curb appeal! Thank you to Las Vegas backyards!

Remember when customer was king? You know you hire someone to do a job for you and they did it…read moreright, on time and no games? Well do not hesitate to use this company. This business is the real deal and you should be confident choosing them. From the moment we called the office, the professional, courteous, efficient and pleasant staff is impressive. And whether you contact them via phone or email they respond in a timely manner. For example; as soon as the owner quoted us a price for work we wanted done the proposal was emailed to us within one hour, and as soon as the building inspector would come for inspections I would call the office to let them know he was here but they already knew and they were always ready to tell us what the next step was. If we had questions and called the office they always pleasantly answered them and if they didn't know the answer they would find out and call back immediately. Paperwork was sent immediately, following up on something again was always done in a timely manner. They are on the ball! I think we all know how rare an efficient office is these days! What a pleasure to work with people who take pride in their jobs. Thank you Magaly and Yesica! As soon as we met the owner Javier we knew we were going to hire him. He went into such detail about the retaining wall we wanted, it was impressive. He is professional, courteous yet a down to earth super nice person. He quoted us a price and that's what we paid, no games no extras no BS! In fact while he was still building our wall we hired him for more work! Javier knows how to run a business which is so rare today. Javier is available to speak with you anytime and he gives you a business card with his cell phone and he answer his phone! His payment policy is extremely fair too and it's because he gets the job done and done right! Now about the men who do this unbelievable hard work. These men will embarrass even the fittest of the fittest! They work so hard and non stop and I really don't know how they do it. They worked in some record breaking heat but still managed to dig a 65 foot long trench pulling boulders out of the ground BY HAND IN ONE DAY! Then the next day they built the 65 × 4 foot cinder block wall in under 4 hours. They just kept going and going. They are extremely respectful and very courteous. In fact they were so quiet I never knew they were out there. They kept our property immaculate from any kind of debris and the work site was ALWAYS clean and neat. In fact some dirt came off their truck when they left (they didn't know it) and when they came back the next day without being asked THEY IMMEDIATELY CLEANED IT UP!!!! These guys are awesome! The men who put the veneer stone on did an outstanding job. Absolutely beautiful work. They were meticulous. They too worked their ass off in the heat. Because of how impressed I was with the office, Javier and the hard working guys and BEFORE they finished the first job I added to the job. I added veneer stone on the columns on my patio and my BBQ and it too looks absolutely beautiful!!!. And again they were so meticulous and very courteous to our property. In fact, when we got home and looked outside they were done and long gone but they surprisingly cleaned our patio up!! something we neglected purposely because we knew men would be working on it. And Javier works with you. He sent pictures of stone to choose from and the one I had my heart set on (for 2 years) wasn't in the choices. I was devastated and didn't sleep all night. I thought I've been staring at a particular stone on a neighboring home for 2 years dreaming of one day my house getting that same stone and how stupid I was not to tell this to Javier before I hired him. Well Javier came to our house the next day and I showed him a picture of the stone I wanted. He knew exactly what the name of the stone was, he drove by the house that had the stone on it and I got what I wanted and my yard looks beautiful (I should have just called Javier and I wouldn't have lost any sleep!) See its not just about the money.... Javier wants you to be happy, really happy! This is by far the best company I have ever dealt with and I am 100% satisfied with them.
