THIS RALPHS HATES DISABLED PEOPLE! They have only 2 disabled spaces by the only doors you are allowed to exit. The have 2 other "side entrances" I have used each with additional disabled parking BUT they are now only for entering not for exiting & after spending all the money to make these structural/physical changes, they posted NO SIGNS to let you know they will make you push your cart around the building IN TRAFFIC (parking lot is dangerously busy) to get to my usual side door disabled parking. I was refused help to get my full basket to my car even with my cane... and also refused to be let out the side entrance by floral... finally a nice LAUSD employee from Taft HS that knows my husband saw me in tears with my cart & he went and pulled my car around to the only exit. Additionally, the aisles are now so high!!! I could not find a soul to get something heavy down from a high shelf AND you lock up all the dish/laundry soap requiring I make 2 transactions?? FU! I have already stopped buying that from your store the minute you did that! I have been shopping here since the 1970s NO MORE I was told these changes were because of all the kids at Taft HS - BULLSHIT STAFF YOUR DAMN STORE Staff your store like you used to Taft has been there as long as the store... in fact through the 80s the Ralph's had a Taft Pharmacy, Taft Dry Cleaners, and Taft Laundromat inside the store! I was at the self check-out today looking up an item so i could ring it up. Their worker with long dark hair came up to me and started speaking to me in an aggressive manner saying what are you trying to do here. Just use the code. I said i'm fine. I got it. Then she starts arguing with me to use the code. I told her that she is being combatative with me and arguing with a customer and i don't need help. I proceed to ring up my item then she runs back up and is very close to me saying use the code it's not that hard. I had to tell her to get away from me. I finished ringing up my items and went to speak with the manager. He said he would address it. Will that hallen or not I don't know, but at the end of the day it is on management for hiring somone unhinged who has no business working with the public. Prior to even finding the manager I asked another sales person on the floor where i can find the manager. The guy said up front and just walked off. Their staff is RUDE to a disgusting level. Terrible, never going back. Not even being in the store 10m with our child, the security guard goes up to my husband with another employee (not a manager) demanding him to show them what's inside his messenger bag because "it looked fuller" than when we came in. Take note we were at the deli counter waiting after placing an order. No apology when they were proven wrong. He accused him of stealing not because he saw something but because he THOUGHT the bag looked fuller. What a terrible experience. read more

Got snow crab legs from the seafood counter. Clerk was nice and friendly, but the crab legs were crap. They tasted like salt...pure salt, not just a bit salty. I had to just throw them away because none of them were edible. Expensive lesson learned. This is not the place for seafood. read more

Super disappointed with this location. I stopped here to get breakfast items and a few lunch items prior to going into to work as it is on my way. I got there at 4:59 which understandably they open at 5am. I waited in the car until 5:05 and I saw workers inside but the doors were still locked. I was acknowledge by one workers and signal that she didn't have the keys. However, instead of going to get someone who did, proceeded to rearrange the fruit and the balloons. Finally, left at 5:20 because it started raining and I had to still drive to work. Plus, it was cold to be just standing. What a waste of my time. I can expect this from a local shop but not from a big store chain. Hours should be change to accommodate the correct timeframe it takes for it to open. read more

beyond the makeshift shelves, making it hard to navigate the aisles, now they've installed GATES, allowing only one of three exits to be used after check out. this must be a fire hazard, they've blocked the paths in 2 directions once you check out. I'm shocked the firemen who regularly come here to buy groceries allow this. They've also built makeshift walls inside the store for some aisles for cleaning products only available to separate cashier. lines are always long, not enough staff, and the produce section is not that of a Ralphs, maybe a lower caliber grocery store. this is the type of shopping experience you'd expect in a crime ridden part of town. read more

They must've had some bad problems with shoplifting, maybe the Taft High School kids or some other people, because they have a turnstyle at all three entrances now. Once you go in, the only way to exit is thru a cashier. In the evening hours of 7 pm or later, they only have one entrance open, the other two are completely closed off. So if you get a cart from outside at night, you have to push it all the way down to the one door that is still open. They also have the medication aisle completely enclosed now so that if you need something, you can come in the doorway where you will be filmed during the time you are in there. All very chaotic. Today I actually heard a woman standing in a long checkout line (the non-self serve one) griping about it saying, "they've ruined this store with the way it's set up now." read more

Have been a customer at this Ralphs for 25 years. Tonight, my gf ran over just before 10 pm specifically to get some detergent and fabric softener. She was told that aisle closes at 9 pm by one staff, 8 pm by another, and 10 pm by yet another staff. Indeed, the aisles with detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and medicine were all locked up - - even though the store is open until 1 am. What TF stupid policy is that? Why those items? Those are pretty basic commodities, aren't they? I mean, this is really some stupid desperate corporate management. Revolting. Then, she was told there are no checkers and she has to use self-checkout. I presume that is so Ralphs will save money, but I doubt those savings are passed on to consumers. First, we had to pump our own gas to help the poor oil companies save money. Now, we have to self check-out to save poor Ralphs and the Agribusiness sector. Next we will have to butcher our own meat, I suppose. So this is Liberation Day, eh? Let's thrown ten million good workers out of the country so more white people can have jobs - - but then they just have self-checkout, so there's no extea jobs. This store used to be great - clean, friendly staff, and well-kept. Unfortunately, it has been going downhill lately. They've started allowing owners to bring in their pets (not service animals) to shop. I witnessed dogs sniffing around the meat department, and one even became aggressive when it saw another dog inside the store. This is unsanitary and unsafe, and it really lowers the standards the store once had. read more

I mostly shop here for curbside pickup because of MATTHEW! He is the absolute best and truly cares about his job and goes a ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that he's gotten the order perfect, even sourcing through various fruits to make sure we don't have any old ones! He always finds the best replacements, always takes extra care to hand me the eggs in the front seat and is soooo personable! If he hasn't already received a raise, please give it to him now. I drive past TWO other Ralphs just to pick up groceries from this location because they always have a great stock of items and are so super fast with the curbside pickup! Matt definitely stands out and always makes my day, but the other team members are also always quick. Five stars for this Ralphs because of the exceptional curbside pickup experience! read more

They have these new doors at all of these entrences that open for you when you enter, but say emergency exit only alarm will sound when you try to leave. The only way to actually leave without causing a commotion is to go through the checkout. I came in to check if they had an item and they didn't so I didn't make a purchase. I had no real reasonable method of leaving and genuinely felt like I was being held against my will. Terrible design, will never shop here again until this is removed. read more

TERRIBLE! You only get good prices if you deal with the cumbersome Ralphs app. But, they put the wrong digital coupons in front of the wrong produce. The digital coupon for strawberries is in front of the blueberries etc. And even if you get around their counterproductive signage, the app rarely works and you have to get help at the self checkout. You rarely can use a real checker. Then you have to bring the q code sign to the self checkout to try and get it to work even if you got the correct item and scanned the correct q code. WTF is the purpose of the digital coupons? TO CREATE HASSLES! THE MEMBERS SHOULD GET THE DIGITAL COUPON PRICES AUTOMATICALLY! Ralphs is intent in making the shopping experience a nightmare or they are just stupid? And if this wasn't bad enough, there were customers with dogs wandering throughout the store. I am not just talking Fifi little dogs in the shopping carts but big slobbering breeds like pitbulls. i know they have a security guard but I have never seen him raise a finger. read more

Im a student at Taft and the security guard is the worst employee ever. I understand how his job works but hes rude he kicks and rushes people out for having trouble looking for things and doesnt help AT ALL. He is also borderline racist. He only follows people of color around the store from what I've seen, Im hispanic and I have NEVER stole from ralphs AT ALL! I always pay for what I buy and he always follows me and my friends around. From what I've seen he also follows big groups of people "coincidentally" ALL people of color too. I have to admit entering this Ralph's location was interesting; they have two entrances on the corner of the store, and it can be confusing when you exit. I entered and wanted a quick bite and was looking around at sandwiches. I had a few questions, but the staff weren't too responsive or helpful. I ended up grabbing what I needed and going to self-checkout - actually they had mentioned to go to self-checkout to avoid having to interact with anyone... I thought this was a weird gesture. This store is always clean and organized. The staff is very nice and helpful. I like that the parking lot is huge and has many entrances and exits which makes for less traffic jams. They have a big deli and bakery. I'm just sad that they dont have a specialty cheese section. I have to go to the Encino chain for my drunken goat cheese lol It is in the same complex as a Starbucks, Panda Express and Chase bank, plus more shops that I'm missing read more

Update: still a nice market with very good offerings and staff. Used the men's room again. Being a middle aged male... Clean and well serviced. I enjoyed this shopping trip, especially since there were some good deals! Old: Overall a nice market. Great deli department. Nice employees. Management seems either too casual or not really concerned about the customers, though. I had to owe so went to the men's room. Well, tried to. The door is locked so had to ask an employee for the code. Being across the street from a high school makes this understandable. But once inside, the urinal was out-of-commission as was one stall. That left only one (occupied) stall open a 3 guys waiting. I should have just relieved myself in the sink but decided to use the unoccupied women's restroom. Eeeeew, not really clean either. Mentioned my concern to the produce manager. He said he'd deal with it but didn't convince me. Late saw the sales manager greeting customers. Nice touch. But when I told him the problem he denied anything but the broken urinal. As he headed off to the men's room I followed. He tore several pieces of duct tape off the door, flushed and told me nothing was wrong. And then he flushed again and again and finally became aware of the problem. I know grocery stores aren't in the business of providing toilets but you'd think they'd care a bit more... if not for the customers sake but their employees sake. And you'd think a sales manager would have enough social graces to not leave a customer as though he had basically been considered a liar. It soured my shopping experience. Asked her about the guy daily putting trash in Ralph's shopping carts that we use to put our groceries in the Ralph's parking lot. She really did care. I told her these situations are putting her customers in a uncomfortable and dangerous situation. She didn't really care. One of the worst Ralph's I've been to. Didn't have anything I needed. Not a single gluten-free bakery product. And the customer service was horrible and the manager was nowhere to be found. [Update since this was posted: I had to pop in today. Management here made it clear to me that it has no intention of doing anything to enforce the county's indoor mask mandate. Customers were roaming freely about this location maskless or with masks dangling below their noses in violation of current county laws. I was told that if I fear for my well-being in the store, I was free to shop online. Imagine that we who obey the laws are being asked to shutter ourselves in our homes so the scofflaws can roam about as they please. What a sorry state of affairs. At what point do we, as consumers, just tell companies like Ralphs that enough it enough? I mean, they fill the air in their stores with P.A. announcements about how much we customers matter, but it is all just words. You would be hard pressed to find anyone (save for a few very conscientious workers I've encountered) who actually gives a darn about the patrons who shop here. I have witnessed petite customers reaching high, struggling for items on upper shelves, while employees stroll by blissfully unaware and unconcerned. As a taller guy, I offer my assistance in such moments, but where is the hired help to do so? Speaking of, this company has succeeded in making check out with an actual cashier too much of a hassle to be worthwhile. They don't employ enough folks to work the registers, so there are always lines at the few registers actually open for business. No express lane ever. So, shoppers with few items to check out end up using the automated checkout. The effect is that the only folks who then use regular checkout are those with enormous carts of items to get rung up. If you come in needing six or eight items, you are going to end up using the automated checkout unless you want to wait behind two customers buying all their groceries for the next year. (Each of whom will struggle with the concept of using a debit card to pay, for some reason.) The situation mirrors banks. The only people who go into a bank nowadays are those with a lot of business to transact or some sort of complicated matter to handle. This means it is often better to just use the ATM even if you would prefer to actually speak to an actual person. That would require an actual person, and banks, as well as supermarkets like Ralphs, would really we rather not need actually people to patron their businesses. This then allows Ralphs to justify not hiring more cashiers. Shareholders win, customers and employees lose. The downward spiral toward self-service shopping will pick up more inertia. This evening I was in and could find little that I needed. I know the global supply chain is in chaos right now, but my sense is that having someone to restock shelves would be of great value. The checkout situation was messed up and I found myself waiting to get help using self-checkout because I had alcohol to buy. But it wasn't really alcohol, since it was zero-alcohol beer. It took almost as long to get my transaction completed as it would have if I had just waited behind customers with overfull carts in slows full-service lanes. I called a bit later to reach the manager, and after pressing 0 to reach the front desk, the phone rang well over 100 times. I eventually found an employee in bakery who routed me to the manager, who seemed incensed that I was actually upset. How dare me?! These places have NO PROBLEM insulting their patrons but management gets quite in a huff if we ever express our frustration bluntly. Does anyone here give a darn? When did customers become the enemy or, worse, hostages to be abused? I am voting with my feet and my wallet. No more of this place. I'll gladly pay more SOMEWHERE for a better experience. read more

This is the worst Ralph's in the valley. The staff are rude and unhelpful. The self checkout was so frustrating that I left . The Hispanic older woman at the self checkout was damn near useless and rude. The self checkout asked for the attendant 6 different times and I just got tired of her talking to me like a child because I didn't understand her finicky checkout machine . With all the needing the attendant, couldn't you just ring it up? I worked 15 hours today and I'm not in the mood for Ralph's poor customer service and high prices. Self checkout is poor customer service at its finest. Kroger stock is way high by firing cashiers and making the customer do all the work. Next we will have to go to the stockroom and stock the shelves ourselves. I guess the mean old lady with poor customer service is better than the last time I came after midnight. This Ralphs is fortunate enough to gain the business from one of the Valley's most well known high schools located directly across the street. The food is good but ambience can be chaotic before and after school. The staff works hard but not always friendly. Especially the security guard who will follow and harass your children for shopping while Black. All parents be aware of the racial profiling Ralphs allows and take your business elsewhere.
