The Wolfgang puck has been replaced with a cute wine bar near the grab and go section. Grab a bite after grocery shopping, after all who isn't hungry after groceries? I appreciate the unique concept. Gelsons has become synonymous with Thanksgiving for us and also weeknight, easy dinners! I love their prepared food section. It doesn't complete deplete your bank account like Erewhon and the food tastes thoughtfully seasoned and freshly prepared. As far as Thanksgiving is concerned, I will likely never cook my own Thanksgiving because I'm so in love with the ease and taste of Gelson's. Being freed up from mashing potatoes or preparing carrots allows me the time to prepare those sentimental, ancestral dishes we all crave at the holiday season. The turkey is also cooked to perfection but the other ideal part of a Gelson's thanksgiving is all the side dishes can also be purchased ala carte. Ideal! Lastly, this store is just so clean. It's bright, lots of natural light, and has easy parking that is free. I always hate paying for parking grocery shopping. This store makes grocery shopping that much easier, thanks to the prepared food, and just that much more enjoyable.

I've been coming here for the last decade. The prices have gotten to the point of absurdity, the "security" look like mall cop rejects, and there's always Instacart "shoppers" sitting and smoking cigarettes and weed in the parking lot all morning. Not to mention the self check outs are only open at odd hours so there's lines at the 2 check outs open. For what it costs to shop here they need to do better. Over it.

Workers are rude and so I left. I don't need this kind of judgement in my life. I love Gelson's but this is by far the worst location.

There is also a large free parking lot attached so parking is really easy. As you would expect at any traditional deli, the menu is very large and service is very attentive. The staff was very friendly when we stopped in and everything that we ordered came out very fast after we ordered it. For this visit, I started off with one of their Caramel Lattes and thought it was delicious. Our waiter mentioned they were especially good there and I agree with him. For our breakfast, we chose a Build Your Own Omelette and the Chilaquiles. Both were fantastic. I chose to Build Your Own Omelette and opted for chorizo as my meat even though it's not listed on the menu as an option. I would highly recommend doing so as well. They also have a giant area of pastries and cookies, which I plan to visit next time I stop by. I would highly recommend to anyone and feel it is suitable for people of all ages.

The Italian sandwich had tons of cold cuts and provolone cheese. The mustard was perfect and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. Overall great food. I also picked up a sampler of Italian cookies. The staff is also great -- super friendly, young, and clearly passionate about what they're doing. So far, I've gotten some great recommendations. One of the staff members recommended the porchetta, and WOW... absolutely one of a kind. Definitely something I'll be getting again. Not much has changed inside, which is honestly part of what I like about it. Walking in always feels familiar. If you enter through the back you will pass the wall covered with old photos. While I'm waiting, I'll walk through the little market, check out what they have, grab something cold from the fridge, and maybe bring home some frozen pasta for a future dinner. The Famous Italian is my usual, but the hot pastrami and meatball sandwiches are also worth getting. The caprese salad is simple and fresh, and if I'm in the mood for something heavier, the hot lasagna always does the job. I've been coming here for over 20 years now and it's nice having a place that doesn't need to change.

Yes, it's a cute set up and the decor and employees give small town vibes, but dang was this expensive, remarkably unremarkable, and a smidge unnerving. Order: Italian sub - too big and underwhelming. Appreciate a generous portion now and again but wow is this huge. And all that with no dressing? Strike. Chips - home style made, don't recall a specific flavor. Double chocolate espresso muffin - texture was fine, but it barely tasted of coffe and chocolate. The chips were plenty, but still, tongue was not picking up anything. Also, the clerk seemed so surprised by us accepting this item as "they were just delivered". Pickles - poor taste. What's the point of the half sour exactly? I understand there was a goal of trying to be natural but wow did both leave the wrong sour taste in my mouth. Strike. Parking: plenty in this public lot. Ambiance: Unnerving!! They were friendly, but there was always a sense of surprise behind every word and decision we made. They were constantly "oh wow!" or "really?!" with every item that was ordered. Customer service was fine but leaned toward negative as their constant awe made it seem like there was no trust in their product. The place was near empty too. Strike. The other reviews unfortunately don't change my mind. This seems to be a matter of taste and nostalgia. Maybe once they were a solid meal. But I won't be coming back again.

It's located in the small to medium size outside shopping plaza in Downtown Agoura and right next to the elementary school and high-school. The same owner has been serving customers for years and is always a delight to talk to. My boyfriend and I came here the other day to grab lunch to-go and bring it to the beach to eat. We ordered and it didn't take too long to get our food, as I also peeked next door at the consignment store. They did pack it a little different than I thought they would, putting both sandwiches that we ordered into one aluminum tray with the fries on top, but that's alright. That being said, we ordered two sandwiches, some fries, and drinks (they have cold or room temperature). The chicken burrata with pesto is always my go-to and is so good! It has a classic taste that never gets old, and the flavors in the ingredients all mesh well together. My boyfriend got the Prosciutto Panini and he said he really enjoyed that one, too! *One note is that a good amount of years ago, the owner used to make his own teas and juices for customers; they were always so fun to try. If you're a local and you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for? I'd recommend going for lunch. If you're visiting the area, it's also worth stopping by since Agoura doesn't have many of their own small businesses and restaurants (especially affordable ones that are good.)
