The steak tips were wayyy overcooked - we asked for medium and it was very well done. Same with the burger - very overcooked. The fries were very obviously from frozen. The mozz sticks were way too big. here are the tips to make this place way better: better cut of meat, don't overcook the meat. The burger neeeeeds a sauce! FRESH fries - from a potato! and make the mozzarella sticks less thick. Everything needs to be homemade... that's what makes customers coming back. Drinks were good but veeerrry sugary - make them not as thick... fresh & light is more like it I hope this place survives and takes my advice - it would only help!

Have dollar bills ready, maybe deal some cards if you keep it on the level, rack 'em in the billiard area next room over, and peep the ship room itself in the back. (It was empty and dark when I visited, but I walked around anyway - felt like I wasn't alone, so bonus points for that creepy Amityville Horror feel.) I don't claim to know legit, hardcore Worcester, but this seemed like a small slice of it at the base of Green Street. See pics for ambience and decide accordingly if this is your cup of 'Gansett. (If you can imagine the 2010 edges of Washington DC's H Street district, you're in the ballpark.). *FYI: Four police cruisers passed by me semi-urgently at my Lamartine@Harding parking spot even as I drafted this review. The space is small, dark, and had a live band playing. Bartenders were very quick. Their menu is simple, each meatball sandwich is $11. We got two sandwiches and two drinks. And wow, this sandwich was incredible. First off the bread was perfect, it was super soft and light that soaked up all the flavor from the meatballs and the sauce. The meatballs itself were the best I've ever had. Tasted homemade, fresh, and I wished the sandwich never ended. Can't wait to go back.

The bar was in a more secluded area but we didn't mind. When we walked in at 9:45pm on a Sunday night, I didn't expect to feel... unwelcomed? Perhaps we were the only Asian (and only minority there) and everyone else was Caucasian. Definitely a lot of pauses and stares. The bar was full and no one seemed to acknowledge us. We walked right in and walked right out.
