Anabelle customer service is horrible does not greet customers or say Thank you very unprofessional. I asked her a question and she ignored me last time I checked the cashier is suppose to greet you before they start ringing up your groceries. If she does not like her job then go apply else where. This review is really for the Kroger brand as a whole. I bought some 'Whiskey Black Pepper' ribs from the Ralphs location listed above. In the package they looked good and I thought, "I'll give them a go." I followed the instructions on how to cook them and my gosh, they were as TOUGH as a bulls' arse! The smell of them was not mouth-watering nor were the flavors. If I didn't have my Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce, I would've been in really bad shape. LOL. This isn't the first package of Kroger brand meat I've bought that turned out to be of poor quality. I bought their knock-off brand of Hillshire Farms beef sausage. Again, it looked good in the package, however, when I cooked it the texture was like RUBBER. I will never buy another Kroger brand of meat. They should stick to distribution, not manufacturing. read more

One of the managers, Julie G is working a register and sends the bag boy off on an errand. She scans our stuff while complaining that someone should be there to another employee. I would sooner stick pins in my eyes than return to this sorry excuse for a grocery store. Seeming to be run by teen aged high school drop outs and "day laborer" type Latinos who's English is a second language at best. I was actually laughed at (yes, the guy was LAUGHING!) when I asked where the sale item I had come for was. After getting a "rain check", I have returned on several occasions for them to make good on the rain check with the same, "yeah, right" attitude from the meat department. Pro: Close to the house and usually can find most things on the average grocery list. Good place to pick up a few things and use self check-out. Con: No more double coupons, not enough parking, long lines, and sometimes no bagger. read more

Very impersonal experience every time. No one ever smiles or talks to the customers, they are always having personal conversations. I had to start shopping here because our neighborhood was hit hard with grocery store closures. First the Albertsons closed, then Fresh and Easy, then Haggens. We were left with Trader Joe's (which is phenomenal but sometimes you just need a full grocery store) and the saddest/smallest Whole Foods. Since I came here out of desperation and not really willingness I already hated it. However I have given and continue to give this Ralph's a chance. Here is why however I am only giving it 3 stars. First involves something they cannot control and that is the clientele wow are the people that shop at Ralph's rude and horrible in every way. It begins with the parking you have several people auditioning for worlds worst driver and another handful for worlds most aggressive driver. I literally am scared sometimes to come shopping. The second item Ralph's does have control over and that is their carts. They are so old and rusty I'm worried to put my food in the cart for fear of an infectious disease. The carts also only sometimes work I had to test 4 carts before picking the best which still had a bent wheel so people heard me squeaking my way down every aisle. The last reason I'm giving this Ralph's three stars is because of their cashier's they are distracted - I don't entirely know by what but I have had things charged incorrectly, I came home with someone else's nuts in my bag (Brazil nuts to be exact), and I had all my items smashed by a cashier ignoring the conveyor belt pile up. Unfortunately I'll most likely be back. I don't have much of a choice. I hope with time this Ralph's gets better. read more

I had the worse experience 2/20/2018 at the Ralph's San Pedro location on Western. I have been a customer of this store for years! My loyalty is to Ralph's and Leticia the "manager" is horrible! Rude lady and does not have any customer service skills whatsoever. How she managed to become part of a management team is beyond me! This is the worst customer service ever! Was at the self check out needed an attendant. Checker machine said attendant had been notified. Waited about 5 minutes...nothing. I paid with card and wanted my receipt. My machine was out of paper. Finally I look over and see 2 employees standing and texting. I say excuse me but I need my receipt. They give me a dirty look, say nothing and print out my receipt. I guess I was rude for interrupting them while they were texting. I keep hoping service will get better. But it is usless. read more

Been coming here for years. For the last couple of months the service has gone noticeably down hill. Lines are always long, never enough lines open and they never open more, despite lines 6, 7, 8 or more people deep. Security bars for carts at entrance are a huge bottleneck and make you feel like a criminal for shopping there. Terrible. read more

Worst Ralph's I have ever been to and unfortunately I have to go there sometimes. I have yet to meet one friendly person that works here, they are all rude!!! The older lady at the deli is especially rude she has no manners and is always slamming the deli doors. Every time I go the lines are always super long and never have enough registers open. Don't come here to often but its a nice well kept store. Check out the weekly specials, sometimes they have some good ones. If you bank with Chase your in luck they have on inside. Parking is plentiful. read more

The Market is Clean, well stocked, the isles are wide and the shopping carts are clean. Obviously management is doing a good job as you only have a one or two person wait at the checkout stand. The checkout people are helpful, nice and they do a nice job double bagging heavy items without asking. In April 2013 the store is doing their job. read more

Ralphs is a great supermarket. Unfortunately the customer service from meat department to service deli is extremely poor. Even after I have informed the manager a few times nothing has improved. Thank you Ralph's for addressing the issue with your deli clerks food handling issues ( trying to serve people food items that were wiped on the dirty trash can ) . I am so happy you are going to deal with the situation. Also with regards to the inter store communication ( taking messages and updating orders ) I hope that issue can be rectified as well. Your store is in a great location and the people work hard for the most part , it seems as though you just have to remind them to be professional. At 12:54am I was told by the security guard that I could not enter the store because they were closed. Posted closing time is 1am. I mentioned that fact and the guard responded "we are closed". At that moment I heard a kitten crying coming from the carts lined up to the left of the entrance (if you're facing the store). A man (he was waiting on someone in the store) standing a few feet away also heard the cries and offered to help me move some carts (about 5 or 6) backwards approximately 4 feet so I could get closer to where the kitten was to try to rescue it. Coyoties in the area attack and eat cats nightly. Recently sighted in neighborhoods during daylight hours also. The scared kitten moved further away but was still crying. I had a can of cat food in my car so I quickly ran to retrieve it, hoping it would help bring the kitten out. The guard comes outside to tell me I have to leave because they are closed. People (customers and a few emplyees) are slowly exiting the store. One of the male employees asked "are you sure you heard a kitten"? Then said I was not allowed in the cart area because they were closed. I was walking along in front of store off the curb with the cat food when one of the employees walking by spotted the kitten by the potted flowers and the other end of cart area. The guard guard approached and told me if I didn't leave the store was going to call the police on me. I was a frequent shopper of that store. I was very concerned for the kittens welfare. I will not be returning to that location in the future but I will spread the word about the threat to call the police on me if I continued to try to rescue the kitten even in he parking lot. read more

Won't be shopping here since they put in the "security" bars. Causes a bottleneck at the entrance as carts get jammed, and to make matters worse, there are no baskets stocked upon entry. The only ones were *outside* the check stands... I had to exit, and go back through the turnstile! And please tell me what happens if the store ever needs to be evacuated? I am a disabled veteran... And I don't go anywhere without my 5 pound Yorky. But every time I come to the store, the manager goes out of his way to tell me I cannot have my dog in the cart. Well I talk to others that work there, and they told me all I would need is a "shopping cart cover".. so I saved up my money, and bought one online for $50... basically a cloth that keeps the dog from coming into contact with any part of the cart. Well I went there today, and I had two managers rudely stopped me and read me the riot act I'm bringing my dog into the store. I told her it was her own people that told me to get this and I would be OK, I'm not gonna leave my little 5 pound Yorky in the car, and she is worth thousands of dollars, and she's all I have. I swear I have never been treated so harshly by any merchant, who would like me to come back possibly spend money... But they acted like a Tuthorian figures.. Reading me the riot act, when I explain my side the woman started laughing and taunting me, she belongs on a schoolyard somewhere, not in charge of a grocery store. People are being pretty harsh! About two years ago there was some weird management that allowed a bad work ethic to reign, but now I think everyone there is nice. They are typically fairly well-stocked, have a good organic selection, and pretty good prices. The biggest reason they are my store of choice is that they have a lot of self-checkout stations, so there's seldom a wait. Quick in and out is worth a lot. If their meat were as good as Von's I'd give 5 stars. But overall, it's my pick for grocery stores in Pedro. read more
