I went to Ralphs expecting bakery service and ended up decorating my own cake. The day before, I spoke with Michael, who told me he couldn't help and that the morning baker would be able to assist. I'm still confused why someone is working in the bakery if they don't have the skills to handle a simple cake request. I called again the next morning at 8:15, spoke with a woman, explained exactly what I wanted, and left a note with my contact info and what the cake should say. I was told it would be ready after 4 PM. I arrived at 4 only to find my note sitting on the cake with absolutely no decoration done. Then I was told I could write on it myself. I literally had to go behind the counter and do it myself. For all that inconvenience, I got $5 off. Completely unprofessional and a waste of time. I would like to start my review by saying I hardly go to Ralphs. Not because I don't like it, but because it is not close to my house. Whenever I happen to be in the NoHo area and need to do some grocery shopping, I would like to visit this particular Ralphs! I happened to be in the area on 5/22/2025 and needed to buy my son couple of birthday gift cards and do very light shopping. I got what I needed and my cashier was pleasant, kind, professional and helpful. I believe his name was Justin: cashier #10 at the time when I was at the store. He quickly checked me out around 6:45pm and I left. Got everything I needed. Since I have done grocery shopping at this particular Ralphs many times in the past, I can say that this is by far my favorite Ralphs in every way. It is not too big, nor is it small. Easy to navigate your way around. Everything that they have is quality, fresh, affordable prices and fully stocked. Employees are very helpful, professional and kind. Nice ambiance, SUPER CLEAN and the music that they are playing which I believe is 80's music makes my shopping experience 10 times better and enjoyable:-)) Plenty of parking spaces and it is in a BIG shopping center with so many other businesses. I stopped by this Ralph store last night to get groceries. I never been to this Ralph before but since I was in the area, I visited this one. I found parking easily during Wednesday rush hour in the plaza this store is in. When you walk inside, the produce are on the left side of the store and meat along with seafood are on the right side. They have a decent amount of self checkout here. I even saw some Krispy Kreme donuts here as well so you can get some donuts while shopping for groceries. NoHo Ralph's is a solid Kroger Co staple. I don't typically frequent this location off Magnolia Blvd/Vineland Ave (because I have a few much closer to me) but do try to swing by as it's one of the few well-stocked and bigger grocers in the area. I hadn't really stalked up on my grocery needs so got a few things I wanted, and needed, even some items marked down and those Best Value Customer digital coupon items! The store has a unique layout, especially with produce on the left/Northside of the store and pretty manageable isles and space to navigate. They only had one entrance/exit side open in the late afternoon, which was really surprising at 6 PM on a Sunday... As this usually happens closer to 8 or even 9 PM at other locations, but I have no idea if it was due to heat or issues. They didn't have more than two main registers open, but the self-checkout lanes were all open and non-stop with one of the Ralph's crew letting you know she was there to help you. If I didn't have so much stuff I might have opted for that, plus if you're buying wine (or alcohol) you're not allowed to do self-checkout unless the attendant rings you up separately. They don't seem to have any reusable bags for sale, I always keep one with me in my bag seven times out of ten but hadn't planned on my impromptu, but much-needed grocery run. When I checked out the main cashier had tons of plastic bags prepped like a pro for bagging. Super friendly! The service is always great. The parking lot while HUGE on the other hand can be chaotic depending on the time of day and how you enter or leave as it's in a shared plaza lot with tons of other businesses and sits deep toward the back half on the Magnolia Blvd side which makes it hard to head west if need be, but just be patient and you'll get out A-okay! read more

When your store is listed at closing at 1am, you should not close at 12:50. People look up closing information and plan their routes and schedules based on it. I understand the desire to close early, but when your actual closing time differs from your publicly posted closing time the people you're hurting are your customers. read more

What I can notify customers of is that KEVIN is the current and keeps this location tidy and well stocked: THANKS. In the mornings, MARIA is another manager: assertive, competent, friendly, helpful. HER freshness and smile will draw YOU back for HER customer service. Surprised at the low reviews, but I honestly have a lot of luck finding what I need at this particular location. I visit a lot of Ralphs and none of them had certain products I was looking for, until I came to this one. Parking lot is usually easy to get around in, but there are cars from all directions due to the set up, so be careful. Usually one door is closed so just go to the one everyone else is coming and going from. I admit I'm one of those weirdos who veer off to the less-traveled door but don't bother doing that here. There are some random people by the door at times, but they don't really bother anyone. Usually in and out within 5 minutes, this location is worth it. read more

Ah yes, Noho Ralph's, how I have missed you. Full of such character and charm. I used live in Noho around 7 years ago... moved away, was just in Marina Del Rey, now moved back to the Toluca Lake area. I drove here around 7:30-8pm at night to pick up some groceries, and it was sorta how I remembered it. It felt a little like driving into a lightweight version of Barter Town from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. I remember having to avoid eye contact with the gaggle of people at the doors waiting to hit you up for something, and having to go past an omnious security guard and gate to get into the facility itself. The facility is more crowded than the usual Ralph's I am accustomed too. Aisles are more narrow, stuff seems to be spilling over. People bumping into one another. They do have groceries, so that is a plus. The crowd is a mixture these days of younger wannabee influencer types and older people weathered by the bullshirt of life. They do have groceries. I will give them that. Maybe not as good a selection as the MDR albertsons. Their prices, compared to the west side, are very reasonable though. It's sorta a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I know I am not going to the best place when I go here. On the other hand, the people watching and overall experience... I find fascinating. But I'm probably gonna move over to a nearby Vons that seems a little more of a clear path. read more

I've been on a grocery store review kick so let's go Ralphs!! During the pandemic, this was my go-to grocery store to do pick up and to be honest, I still love doing pick up. It's such a time saving way to get everything I need. The only issue is sometimes the produce picked out isn't the best. I've had to throw things out right away so it can be a gamble. When I do go in the store, it's an ok experience. It's not the cleanest but they do have the cart wipes saving the day. Everything is pretty well stocked and always have promotions going on. This location can get BUSY. Like lines for days busy. Especially after work hours. So I try to plan around that. There's a big parking lot at least so you'll be able to find a spot even in the busy times. Out of all the times I've been, I've always received great service. I regret it every time I come here. The workers are friendly but I literally just witnessed an argument between two managers on the sales floor. The young Latin manager was saying he was going to promote a hard worker while the middle aged white manager was asserting his dominance by saying she wasn't going to get a promotion. This store is a wreck. First, I hate this new trend toward getting rid of baskets and only having carts. I'm sure some internal research or outside firm told them this gets customers to unconsciously buy more. Well, that will only be for the customers who remain, because I'm fed up with it. I had a ridiculous experience on January 18th. The cashier was bagging up my food & decided to stop bagging the remaining items because she was too busy & didn't feel like it. Doesn't make any sense, does it? Her manager, John was working the register behind her and I asked him if this was acceptable & he shrugged & said it is what it is. John is a sorry excuse for a manager and does not give a damn about his job. This is not the first time he's had an attitude for no reason. This is a little irritating but the past two times I've been here, there are people in suits trying to get people involved in something (probably MLM/pyramid scheme). They always stand in the bakery area/between the baby and pet aisle where I get most of my groceries. I have avoided another grocery store because of this. At 8 AM I saw a man shoplift laundry detergent, and then when the security guard called him out on it, he proceeded to beat the security guard with the detergent a few times and then throw it at him and then run in the opposite direction. That really upset me as I was with my toddler but what upset me even more Was when I brought it up to the store, manager and clerk, they sort of brushed it off, and had nothing to say about it. Closest location to me, I can walk to the store, so that's a plus. The store has seen better days and I can say that since I've been shopping here for 15 years +. Usually it could be an Ok-ish experience. Since the stay at home order started, I walked to it once and it was a Zoo inside so I stopped going. I stopped by today to get a few items I usually get at this store. I drove, even if the parking lot has many spots, people drive like maniacs and you have to watch it. Inside the store, I wasn't happy to see how many people were pushing passed you continuously! Social distancing? Forget about it! They let too many people inside! I'd rather wait outside in a line and have less people inside the store! They also are poorly stocked: way less canned goods, rice selection, no toilet paper, people were buying too much paper towels, no flour, not enough baking goods. Many items out of stock! Is it me or the prices seemed higher and the sales not as good? They also had too many people who work here putting merchandise away in many areas, so it made it harder to shop and keep the distance. Shopping here is a hassle! Just 2 lines opened at check out! People who work here are nice and I feel bad that Kroger Corporation decided to stop paying them the extra $2 an hour. Another reason not to shop here often! As we were putting groceries in the car, we witnessed an ugly scene at one of their entrances, I guess somebody tried to steal something? I'm not sure, but it was a fight, security came over and so on. I'm far from being a sheltered person, seen many in my life, but I'd rather not. Is civilization going down? At this location it is. At many stores they did a good job organizing the space and the way of dealing with customers. Not here! It's hard to tell where to stay in line, people keep coming near you anyways! I went here recently and the store is still huge with lots of produce food in all. Security is tight here because lots of thefts have happened here in the past. Worst Ralphs store I've been to so far, employee in the meat and seafood department (about 18-20 yr old) completely ignoring customers with both ear buds in. Had to wave my hand over the counter damn near in his face to get his attention just to tell me he's closing. "I just want to know where the turkey burgers are" I said as he put his head back down to completely ignore me. These teenagers need to be retrained or something because they are very unprofessional. Apparently you can do whatever the hell you want at this store with no consequence.
