This is my go to spot for my pharmaceutical needs. Over the counter prescription and prescription refills. This place has everything I need. I get my roses and flowers here on special holidays. This place beats alot of the competitors prices. I have been going here for years since it is very convenient for me to go after coming out from the LA fitness gym. Plenty of parking, prices are decent. Ralphs Still honor my club card I had for 30 years! Lol Overall, I would keep coming back to this location. The staff is friendly and professional. No complaints. I take one star away for a section that this store created. On the very far left there is a section where they treat you like a criminal. Hair products locked up which you can only purchase in that section. Cashiers eyeing you like a hawk, improvising if a theft will occur. That section felt ghetto to me. I felt like I was in Walmart in a community of thieves. Keep in mind, the Lakewood County club is right across the street. Meaning its really not a bad location. Other then that. We stopped at Ralph's to replenish our refrigerator and pantry. We just came back from 5 weeks in Georgia, and as we walked into Ralph's, we noticed immediately the commonly products and aisles that reminded us of the Kroger's supermarkets. We had no problem with produce and fruits on our list. Grocery Staples such as bread and dairy products and eggs were quickly found. We picked some 0 sugar/calories soda water and found the chips and crackers for snack. The lovely missus only had one item she did not find and that is Country Time Powdered Lemonade mix. The flowers section was somewhat sparse and perhaps the Thanksgiving holiday had made an impact. But overall Ralph's filled our needs and it was a deja vu pleasurable shopping experience. read more

Poor produce, especially the mushrooms. Very few packages were on the shelf but even the ones remaining were awful. Plus, the packaging and labeling make it near to impossible to see the mushrooms. I brought a package of mushrooms home but ended up throwing them away. Awful quality! I'm also tired of being treated like a criminal there. They have a lot of merchandise sectioned off, with more security and a separate payment required. Lots of security guards, too. Store environment feels like a bad neighborhood. read more

Extremely frustrating experience today. One full bag of our groceries was missing when we got home, which required a 20-minute drive back to the store for a refund. After putting away the remaining items, we discovered a Nutella that was expired (August 2025) still being sold in December. To make matters worse, when calling the store about the expired item, the shift lead (Lety) gave me attitude instead of help. Now I'm forced to make another trip back for something that should never have happened. Used to be a good store. After multiple incidents it is time to leave this review. No self check at 6am in the morning, and one checkout lane open with an employee named Michael who looked and sounded like if you caught the virus he had you would be in the hospital. Another incident at 7pm there were 2 check stands open with 8 people in line at each one. Asked the 2 employees standing around doing nothing if someone was going to open another lane. "No" Simply took my business elsewhere. Along with seeing more and more expired food with over a year past on the expiration this place honestly just needs to be shut down. Manager is useless, thankfully never saw her attempt to handle a checkout lane too often. You would think someone promoted to that position would know how to work a register. You will unfortunately be disappointed. There are 3 good employees there that are currently close to retirement age. Aside from them there is a mix of decent and useless employees. This is not the closest grocery store to me, but it's where I shop now. There is a good selection and prices are fair. It's clean, stocked well, and has good variety. Pricing seems fair, especially if you use the mobile app and digital coupons. I don't like being approached inside the store to purchase outside products, though. (They've had a vendor booth set up in the store every time I've gone lately. Some people staffing the booth are polite but if my reply to you is "no thank you," your response should not be to try again push your product.) read more

I'm beginning to feel my disappointment growing. I've been a loyal patron to Ralph's for decades. My latest experience this weekend was another disappointment. Management try is absent. I went yesterday. Picked up some kerns nectar for a road trip with my family. The cans were filled with a sticky substance. I noticed it when it dirtied my sweater. Today I bought a 2 pound back of ham that was expired 3 days prior. The was a nearly exhausted supply of bag for produce. One 1/4 roll for the entire department. Today the Ralphs in Long Beach off Carson was a hot mess. Not because there were so many customers but because the manager Denise was out of control barking orders at customers and the employees. She held up all the lines, so they were all the way down the isles. People were not allowed to get into a check out line until she gave them permission which held up EVERYTHING, checkers were standing there with no customers until Denise was able to bark orders about which line customers could get into, holding up the lines, slowing down the check out process. And the way she speaks to her employees is absolutely disrespectful. read more

As a part of the Kroger family, Ralph's can be a hit or miss depending on location. I do not frequent Ralphs and on my second trip here I remembered why. For a store doing business in 2023, why do we still have to use a discount store card? Also, the digital coupons that they make you scan to connect with the app. WHY????It would be somewhat tolerable if the app didn't log you out. I spent 6 minutes in an aisle trying to get wifi to reset password. When that didn't work I went to the register with a picture of the digital coupon and item together. The cashier was absolutely useless. She wanted a picture of the digital coupon alone? Yeah that didn't make sense to me either. Zooming in on the photo i had wasn't good enough. Finally told her to put it back because this was more laborious than I needed it to be. Ralphs store managment and corporate if you are paying attention. Your customers don't like this. All the workers here are awesome but that tall white security dude is always racist asf. I always see him causing problems with mainly black people but even have seen him talk down on elderly Asian woman. He's always on a power trip, consistently demeaning people, especially brown people. One time I witnessed these two boys who stole candy bars and he went outside to take a picture of their license plate (I understand these kids shouldn't steal) but he started to curse them out and as they drove away, he was stomping their tires and kicking the truck. This place has always been clean over all the years it's been here. All the staff is nice Fresh frost and veg. The meat quality is always on point and there is never a shortage of carts. The parking can be a bit off sometimes but not on a regular basis. If your looking for something easy just hit the deli slash cooked. Food. I've been coming here for over four years! they've recently hired armed security due to their body products and etc. being stolen capitalizing in a huge loss. Today I arrived at the store as normal to buy my necessary needs. I was assisted by Jose, who worked in the glass area where all the Body products are, purchased with receipt IN HAND. As I get ready to leave, the beeper goes off and the armed security decides to come running outside and asked me if he could see my Receipt... I didn't steal anything. I gave him my receipt & I proceeded to my vehicle. As I am walking to my vehicle, I see him on the radio following me and watching me as I go to my vehicle... So I turned around and asked if he was reporting me... He walks away, and I then proceeded to go back to the store to report the Behavior. As I approached the front of the store, he's standing there and he says you walked off without me giving you your receipt.. . I advised I was going to speak to the store manager because I felt so uncomfortable. He says do we have a problem? and I said "we're about to see right now" and then he mocks me in a "Slave Master antagonistic tone" repeating after me" We bout to see right now" I proceeded to go to Jose to ask for the store manager. Jose was apologetic and I was directed to Nancy who was very much so not understanding of the situation and proceeded to Downplay his behavior advising hes supposed to check receipts when a beeper goes off (Which is completely understandable he has a job to do) however, When I proceeded to advise the racial behavior she had NO concern about It & was very dismissive. I asked HER for his name. She said that she couldn't give it to me YET This man was recording me WITHOUT my consent.. I decided to go ahead and take a picture of him! I asked for my receipt back because he was taking pictures of it and when I asked him to give me my receipt, he advised he threw it away ...yet, He has my personal information that shows on that receipt. He knows exactly what he did before He turned on his phone to start recording me, but of course to cover his a**, He decides to play himself as the victim and try to make me look as the aggressive, black woman.. Let me say this, I've been going to this location for about 5 years and I've always had a pleasant experience with the workers there until tonight. I've only checked out at the self check stands. I made a mistake tonight, the worker asked me if I had 15 items and I said I did, I counted it before I entered. He said something to me as I was punching my number into the register so I recounted it again, I made a mistake, I had 16 items. What I didn't appreciate is how he spoke to me in front of the other customers. I was told to get out of the self check area, he repeated himself about 3 times. I told the cashier how I was treated by the other worker and she apologized and agreed that I shouldn't have been spoken to as I was. She explained to me the new law about self check and I understood what she said. She was very understanding. She knew that I was upset. For that rude worker, if you're in the customer service business, treat people the way you'd want to be treated. read more

Not very many customers in the store when I arrived. Lines were short at manned registered and the self checkout was pretty empty too. Came to pick up a specific item for my dad: sugar-free Gatorade. Regular Gatorade had slim pickings as far as flavors. The sugar-free did not have the regular size bottle in orange, which was the flavor he wanted. Found it in a multi-pack, even though all I needed was one bottle. Of course, we never go and leave with just one item... decided we to curate a charcuterie board. Left with assorted cheese, dried meats, and crackers. Missing from the deli were layered dip. Usually Vons will have these made by the deli and then some commercial ones. This was completely absent. They did, however, carry some homemade salsa, guacamole, and pico de gallo in the same display with Homeboy Industries chips and salsa. I usually go to Vons, and seeing they're better stocked, it will continue to be my grocer of choice. read more

I typically don't write reviews but I feel the need to voice the horrible customer service I received by manager Letty. I purchased an air freshener difffuser along with my groceries. Upon opening it at home, I became aware it did not work. However, I had already disposed of the receipt and packaging as I didn't expect to return anything. I proceeded to return to the store for a return and Letty stated since I did not have my receipt she couldn't help. I insisted she look up my receipt but she continue to report she didn't even know if the store sold that item and she couldn't do anything without a receipt. She finally gave me the store number and asked I call in the morning to speak to the book keeper so they could search my receipt. I did as prompted and manager Denise informed me I could go return my item and simply ask it be put on a gift card. I returned on another occasion to do my return as prompted by Denise and again Letty was there and refused to do the return retirrating without a receipt I wouldn't get helped and I "lucked out." Letty didn't take the time to look up the item on the website, did not bother walking to the aisle to get a bar code she simply continue to state she was following store policy and she had no idea where I got the item from. Honestly the lack of effort from her to assist me, listen to me, in addition to my time driving there twice for her to not help me despite another manager approving it was extremely irritating. I called corporate and within minutes my item was looked up and a refund issued. read more

Came here to return an ice cream scoop that I didn't use/need and had bought for work. I had lost my receipt, but I had used the app to scan my Ralph's card when I purchased it. I was having a hard time pulling it up in my app and Marcella saw that I was having a hard time. She came up to me and asked if she could help me and I explained my situation to her. She was able to scan my card and pull it up for me. It is always a nice feeling when an employee goes the extra mile to help. Kudos to Marcella. Aside from that, the store is very clean and organized. My dad always comes here to pick up his prescriptions and comes for the manager's specials. Facts: The Market: very well stocked, great variety of items, well laid out and priced well. Even eggs had plenty of selection. The fresh bakery had a very good selection of bagels, pastries and muffins, ALL FRESH. There were the packaged ones as well but I prefer the fresh bakery. Those items looked good too. They had everything I needed in stock. The parking lot: Super clean, no crazies waiting to bother me, no issues with potholes etc. Employees: kept to themselves but were friendly and helpful when you said hello. Bakery lady was definitely a morning person and very nice. I had not been here since pre COVID. It was a different experience and they definitely turned this place around. I work around the corner and come here just about every Sunday and sometimes other days to buy a newspaper for my great aunt as she loves reading the Sunday paper. I've said hello to the security guards many times and I've never been stopped before until today. I grabbed a newspaper on my way in and then a tub of ice cream and went to the self checkout. I threw my receipt away because I had no anticipation of returning the two items. I was stopped on the way out by security and questioned not about the ice cream but about the stupid newspaper!!! They made me go back to dig the receipt out of the trash and bring it back to them and stood there while they looked at the receipt and others walked by. I've seen homeless people steal from here and they were nowhere around. I was even dressed in my work clothes from the dealership around the corner! Stopped all for a $4 newspaper!!! read more

I am a frequent shopper at this Ralphs location and have always had a pleasant experience. I saw an ad in the papers I received for a sale on Coke 12 packs, normally 8.99 on sale for 3.99. I grabbed 4 12 packs and proceeded to check out. When the discount did not t appear I asked for assistance and was told I would only get the discount through the use of a digital coupon that I could get through the Ralphs App. I then asked how I could access this and was told " I'm sorry that's something you have to do at home" and she walked away from me. I found this to be extremely rude of her. I come from a customer service back round and this is a failure. read more

Visiting a respected tried and true old school store is always a pleasure. I'm in the area so I have to run in and it's nice seeing employees that I used to know at the old store on Long Beach Blvd before it closed. As always the store is super clean and well stocked and as I head up the aisle I see many many new products on the shelves. I bought a grocery cart. The grocery cart that I bought from Ralph's almost 15 years ago broke and thankfully I found another just as sturdy today and I'm buying it. Meat department It can be a bit pricey but the quality of the meat is superb and I have never had a bad cut of meat at this store. Today's purchase. Rib eye steak it was on sale and I found two that look amazing I'll trim the fat and cut it into small bites and sautée it up for my princess and I just might sneak a piece for myself. Lol I make her food daily( because she hates dog food) so finding fresh beef and chicken is a must for me and sales on any lean meat or chicken helps. Weekly shopper I'm literally at the grocery store once a week buying food veggies bottled water and more. Actually I prefer Walmart for most things( it's cheaper ) but I visit Ralph's and Vons on occasion exclusively for meat or vegetables. Shopping in store for my pets: Yes sir my dog and my birds drink bottled water just like me always have and always will. This mom picked up 8 bottles of drinking water. Frozen spinach is a favorite of mine so I toss a few in my cart. We love zucchini squash and cucumbers so I toss some of those in too. Large box of fresh eggs perfect for a daily scramble or boiled eggs. I'm old school and remember the original store name " Alpha Beta " do you ? This review is for the Ralph's Pickup service. I picked up my order and an employee Rebecca put my items in my trunk. Handed her my coupons and went on my way. When I get home to unload my groceries, to my surprise none of the items are what I ordered. She gave me someone else's order. This is the third time I've had an issue with the Ralph's pickup here and now they give me a completely different order. I called the store and finally I get ahold of Carlos, a manager, who asks me to bring the items back. I'm pretty annoyed but whatever big deal. I'll go run an errand and then go back. I told Carlos I'd take about 20 minutes. After awhile Rebecca calls me and asks where I am because she's waiting outside. Waaaaaaah. I guess she was outside waiting with the other customer who's groceries are in my trunk. I tell her she can wait for a bit after all the trouble she's put me through and then she hangs up on me. HA! I've been coming here for years and the staff is great but Rebecca completely ruined my experience and handled a simple mistake terribly. And Carlos and I found out she didn't even apply my coupons.
