Really great Ralph's location with tons of managers specials! Plenty of parking, huge, well stocked store, great staff. Went here for our weekly shopping trip while taking care of some things in Fontana and were very pleased with this location. Fresh meats, fruit, veggies and bakery items, great prices on everything, I always like the service at Ralph's as well. We'll be back when we are in the area again! read more

So thankful this is so close to home. It's my go to shop for ICE sparkling water, shrimp, and hot sauces. I like their produce and salads.

What's with the new behemoth carts?? I'm gonna get me some oversized load flags and some flashing lights! You can't fit two carts down an aisle so I may need to get a backup alarm while I'm at it. read more

I just left this store and I don't understand how you have such rude and mean people as managers. I had a very nice lady helping me at the cashier when 'Juana' came up and took over. She spoke to her very rudely telling her to go 'bag' and then proceeded to be rude to another nice young male bagger. I didn't get their names but Juana should not be a manager. She should learn how to greet customers as well. No greeting and basically through my receipt at me... I really wanted to speak up but obviously don't want to cause a scene.. Very poor customer service skills by JUANA. read more

Why shut down all self service on one side at 5pm on a Saturday. Makes no sense. Long lines... workers are rude and don't care when packing your groceries. I will drive an extra 15 mins to go to another market. This place sucks read more

I used to enjoy shopping at this location however the management can be rude. Also the worker seemed bothered when I ordered fried fish. I ordered some and it was overcooked and dry and extremely oily. When I returned it the management seemed bothered. I most likely will not be coming back here anymore. read more

OMFG. Went to RALPHS today as last effort to find some deli made fired chicken. I didn't realize it would literally take me and my wife waiting almost 40 minutes to get some help. There was one customer waiting for her food as well. Who knows how long she was waiting. There were literally two employees working in the deli and both were very rude and unfriendly. Not once did they acknowledge me, or my wife, letting us know where the line even started, or just a simple "can we help you". Evidently I didn't realize it takes two people having to insert price stickers on rotisserie chickens, takes precedence over the customer. Both of the employees looked as bright as shinny new penny. I understand it doesn't take much education these days to get a customer service job, however shame on RALPHS for hiring such horrible people to represent their organization. I honestly think the caucasian middle-aged woman who helped us needs some remediation on customer service etiquette. However she might be a lost cause at this time. You can't teach a dog new tricks. Unfortunately I didn't get her name.. I will definitely not be going back to that Ralphs again, and I will let my fellow shoppers know to avoid this place. I'd give zero stars if I could.. read more

Calling the customer service desk and dealt with one of the rudest employees. I called, waited forever for someone to pick up and she answers with the rudest tone, " Hello?!" Nothing formal, so I wanted to verify I called Ralph's on Sierra Lakes and she very snooty said "Yes." I knew she would be no help at that point. Overall just very unprofessional, rude, answers as if she's taking a personal call or I'm disrupting her free time. She was probably just watching the phone ring hoping I'd hang up. read more

recently i purchased a mastercard gift card for $250 at this store. i gave it as a gift, but when the receipent went to use the card several days after it was purchased, the card was no good. the money had been taken out of the account. what a joke. ralph's does not claim any ownership to this fraud. they blame the manufacturer or anyone else who has access to the cards....like anyone who walks in the store.. these cards are not kept in a secured place so thieves can steal the cards....scan the acct #...then return the cards and monitor the acct# and steal ur cash once the cards are juiced.... come to find out the $250 was cashed in at vons in reseda.....hmmmmm .... market to market transaction.... sounds fishy..... why would vons give $250 in a single transaction..... wish the fbi would do something about this popular lick..... i worked for bofa for 7 years in the credit center and our fraud cases were handled by the fbi... but for max tranactions of $500 with these gift cards, the fbi and local police just turn their heads.... but if a creep is doing fraud in the thousands it would seem this is fbi material... this reeks of inside job.... now that i've been screwed by ralph's.... i would suggest you avoid gift cards at this location. your $50-$100-$250-$500 gift card is a high risk investment you would be better served flushing your money down the toliet or burning it to save you the stress read more

I love Ralph's, I really do but lately I've been really getting irked by the lack of customer service. I hate that when I go many times there is no one to help check me out. It's solely self check out. I get its cheaper but its ridiculous. I went to Vons the other day and fell in love with the fact that there were no self check out stands. Wow! Exactly as it should be. I live across the street from Ralph's- literally. To be honest, I spend a lot of money there but from now on, unless it's a quick buy, I will be taking my money to Vons where people will actually help. read more

While this is usually my first stop when grocery shopping, I do notice a lot of things that might cause some to never want to shop here. The amount of money I save here is what makes me come back. I can't say it's truly anything else, I mean maybe also cause it's a 5 minute drive from my place. The self check out has been hell in the past, but has gotten a little better recently. What I don't appreciate(and I won't say names) are the two female employees that basically stare the whole time I'm checking out, and basically accused my mother or I of trying to shoplift...all that happened was I didn't get to the sodas at the bottom of my cart. If she would have given me another second it would have been obvious I was going to grab them, as I was already true Ed around to bend and pick them up. Beyond that incident there have been a few others with the same two ladies, so I just try to a avoid them now. Other things that annoy me...I've had them argue with me about the sale price of items, to where they were again almost accusing me of lying. Till I walked them back to show them the price. No apologies, just 'oh wow you were right. That's a good price' . Food well past expiration sits on the shelves for sale. Sometimes months old, to a year old in the freezer. And don't bother with lotto tickets and scratchers. Since Covid you can't seem to get anyone to help you cash in your earnings. So I would recommend going elsewhere for that. Why 4/5 stars? Again, I'll put up with a lot to save over 50% of my bill. Their mark downs can be hit or miss but when a coupon gets applied on top of it, makes it even better! read more

I was just at the service deli. My order was very simple. 5 people behind me. The women up front was counting chicken pieces for an order. I waited for 15 minutes. I went in to this Ralph's just now to get a few groceries, and the line for the checkouts were very long. When I finally got up to the cashier , her name was Marisol, she checked my items and then I put in my card chip as usual. When it didn't work the first time I tried again, so then the second time she told me that I made a mistake, I fixed it and so the transaction finally went through. My issue wasn't the card situation it was her attitude. When I told her thank you she said "okay thanks bye". But in a rude tone. I also asked her prior if she had a propane exchange and she didn't even check to see if the store had what I needed. Just extremely rude and unprofessional. read more

We've lived in Fontana now for 21 years and this was our go to store. Sadly since Sprouts came in this market has changed. Now considering what the country has gone through last year and people are short handed because of "let's go Brandon" most working people get a pass but I also think that if you are patient, kind, respectful then that should be returned and frankly it was not. It's a week until Christmas and I'm making a roast, my husband loves horseradish that is fresh and I'm looking for it everywhere and coming up empty. I called this store and pushed zero for the operator and after it rang for 5 minutes with over a hundred rings I hung up and called back and pushed the button for the meat department who did answer the phone. I explained nicely that no one was answered at the front desk and explained what I was looking for which he didn't understand (no one cooks anymore) and suggested seafood horseradish sauce, no I really need the fresh one at which he transfers me to produce (yay!) at which David answered the phone, I asked my question nicely, he says nothing and just hangs up. All of that for nothing. Pretty bad. I'd like to say I will never shop here again but I may have to next year if I can't find what I need but I'm going to try very hard not to. read more

Their bakery is becoming a joke. I'm not expecting professional 5 Star specialty cakes but when they have a picture of a cake design they should be able to do said cake design. I ordered a simple round cake with a black band of black icing with ball tip red icing around the top and bottom. What I received was a cake with a crap black border that was sloppily done and they put star tipped border instead. They just slap frosting on a cake and are unwilling to work with even the simplest special cake request. GET A BETTER DECORATOR! there was a way better one last year who actually worked with me on making a specialty cake. Explains why when I went to pick up my cake today that the baker just shoved it into my hands and ran away. She didn't want to deal with how crappy she made the cake -_- read more

Self check out. Ridiculous. I'm not your employee. There is not a discount for doing their work, saving them on payroll. I refuse to do self checkout anywhere. NOT MY JOB. And if Ralph's was lower priced than Stater Brothers maybe I would think about it. This morning August 1st, 8am or so. Only self check out available. I realize automation is saving money on wages, insurance, retirement etc..... but you are pissing off customers. If the retail clerks were smart enough to realize this was taking their jobs away maybe, just maybe the retail clerks union would do something about it. But all the union cares about is collecting dues. I know this for a fact. I was journeyman retail clerk for nearly 8 years leaving in 1985 for my brighter future as now a National Account Manager. When I left I was making more back then (34 years ago) than a journeyman retail clerk under their new contract today. They were screwed by the union. In any event if and when on future visits to Ralph's if there is only self checkout, then it's tootle loo kangaroo. I will head to my favorite grocery store Stater Brothers. I encourage everyone to do the same. read more

I was there a few minutes ago, just one register open with a big line. They don't want to open another one, and started sending people to the self check-out. I waited in line and I asked if they don't want to pay for more people to work, and this rude lady called Juana told me in a very aggressive way, "I'm here, don't I?, we are no losing customer" well, let me tell you Juanita, you just did! I have being a costumer for years, not anymore. At least be kind with people, smile and say "mmm I don't know". It wasn't just the line I had to make to pay my stuff what annoys me, but this lady attitude! read more

Open up more registers and get rid of the self checkout. They will always have just one lane open and staff hounding you down that they will help you use the self checkout, I'd be more helpful if they just opened up a checkstand instead. Many are elderly that dont want to use that. Also, alcohol and WIC does not work on self checkout.. making that 1 lane only longer. The store is always super clean and decent prices, that's what still.brings me back. Side note: I forgot my wallet one time and a 50ish woman at the self checkout (White with a slight limp) pulled out her own cash to help me pay. I couldn't believe it. I declined it but thanked her so much. She made my day. read more

i've been using Ralph's for my grocery and pharmacy needs for decades. this particular Ralph's is extremely below par! the workers are rude, the shelves under stocked, boxes and other hurdles litter the rows. but a particularly upsetting thing just happened and i feel like slapping someone! i did my weekly grocery shopping, my bill was near $200, as my daughter was loading the car i was rereading the receipt. it was true that there was a $14.99 charge on my bill which had no matching product. i went through the bags checking each item. then my daughter did the same thing. we went back in the store, told the "customer service rep" that we went through everything. she actually said to me, "well i'm supposed to be on my brake but i will look." she could not find a matching item either so she called on another checker, who went through our groceries AGAIN! still no match. then came the worst experience have ever had with customer service ever! she started looking through our groceries again and took offense to my southern manners when i called her "ma'am". she raised her voice to me and told my daughter that she wanted me to leave the store!! my daughter finally received the money back after forty minutes..... but no, "sorry" she was supposedly a manager. her name is Sandra and because of her i'm now going to Stater Brothers read more

I'm done with Ralph's Fontana. They've expanded the self check out stations and during the weekdays I've gone, there hasn't been any check stands with checkers open. At the prices this store charges, I shouldn't be bagging my own groceries. read more

Today was the worst....I have been a Ralph customer continuously since 1975. 42 years!!!! Ralph's has slipped to the bottom of the ratings. Since the union fight 10 years ago, they have systematically purchased less quality food products, eliminatited many good name brands with Kroger, decreased baggers, eliminated customer service, rely on vendor stocking and ultimately product quality, removed 40 % of the manned check stands. Reduced customer service ,reduced bagging services, increase food prices by 50 percent, deleted double coupons, and and and. How is Ralph's different from Food 4 less? Why do we keep paying more 4 less? read more

Self check out clerk was so rude today. She was clearly overwhelmed and then had the audacity to be rude to me for misunderstanding what she had mumbled under mask about ringing up my bananas. It sounded like she said she had to do it, so I waited and then she comes up and shouts about how she doesn't have a scale. It was rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, bad service is happening everywhere. I got my bananas and stood in line, so I didn't have to deal with her anymore. I'd rather wait in line than deal with how she behaved. She offered an apology and I let her know that I'd rather wait in line. read more

This store is absolutely RIDICULOUS now. I come in the mornings to avoid the rush and long lines but now all they have is "self checkout ". It would be ok for few items but not when it's for all your shopping. Everyone had to use this "self checkouts" and the lines were long and they still didn't open a regular register. Don't think the shoppers had a few items either. I guess now they expect us customers to do their job now. I've been coming here for years but today is the last time I shop at this store. read more

Ralph's sushi dept is actually very good. The one on SIERRA Lakes Pkwy is our favorite go to when we're craving sushi and can't afford restaurants. Henry the sushi chef is the best you'll find. He's super nice. Fresh sushi. Great variety. Great price. Good portions. I can't say enough about it. Other grocery sushi departments can't compare to this one. Stater Bros is closer to my home but I will drive extra for the quality and freshness. read more

Been here multiple times, various times of the day and I have yet to be disappointed. The store is kept clean and all the staff members I've ever dealt with have been courteous. Parking is fine, there is plenty! And if ever needed there is a drive-thru pharmacy attached to this store, and even the many pharmacists are quite nice and professional. The only issue I've ever witnessed here was USDA steak I've purchased and the next day as I prepared to put it on the grill, I noticed it was "blue" so I took it back and the cashier exchanged it without receipt and was very assisting and explained that he worked in the meat department many years ago; and that the "blue" stuff was ink used when passing USDA, though rare sometimes that ink makes it way into the stores with the part of meat that was stamped. He still apologized and said he'd bring it back as well. Overall very good store and is always stocked. Love it! read more

It is a nice grocery store! It is located in Sierra Lakes Village shopping area! I have been here several times, in March of 2020. It was during the beginning of COVID outbreak, when the coffee shop was closed. Therefore, I would come here, purchase my coffee, energy drinks, or lunch meals. The lines, despite the outbreak, were moving quite fast. Furthermore, I would use the speedy checkout lines, since I did not purchase many items. Nevertheless, in the mornings, the wait lines were long. So, I would recommend to shop around noon, or in the evening! read more

Ran in to grab a couple bottles of wine for a mixer, is there such thing as TOO MUCH selection? maybe because everything was "on sale"??? Anyways, grabbed my junk, went to the self checkout because there were 9 billion people in lines. Scanned my first bottle of wine and was told to wait for an attendant. Ugly 45 year old wrinkly blonde lady came over and VERY foully stated "Yew kant by alcohol here......... it says sew on the SIGNS!!!!!!" This was my regular store when we lived in Fontana. I still make stops when passing through on my way home. Almost always have what I need. The store is clean and the employees are always very friendly, especially to my children. I love their produce here. That is the main reason I shop here so frequently. I also use the Rewards frequently. Every 100 points earns 10 cents off a gallon at Shell or Ralph's Fuel. I fuel up in Rancho Cucamonga. Cheaper at this location and even less with my rewards. When you fill out the survey on your receipt you get 50 fuel points too. Win win for me all around. read more

Me & my husband came here at least twice a week, & today was the worst trip I've ever experienced. We were at the self checkout & asked an older African American woman for help, & she started going through every single item, making sure were scanning everything & not stealing. In the cart was a chicken soup powder & she was being so rude telling me "uh hello you didn't scan that soup mix. You need to scan it. I don't see it on here" (which we weren't done scanning fyi) & I grab something else & she said again with attitude (you need to grab this soup packet & scan it." Hello lady, you see that I have my baby in one hand & im grabbing what I can as fast as I can with my one available hand. I know what I need to scan. Never have I ever been accused of stealing here, nor been watched over & had my whole cart/receipt checked. So ridiculous, I'll stick to going to Costco instead. read more

Love to stock up on clearance produce, breads, meats, and nonperishables here. They also run good deals occasionally, but don't get too caught up in "deals" that really make you buy a lot of things you don't need.
