I go to this store probably every other day. We live down the street and it's always fast, easy in and out. The lines are rarely out of hand when I go and I have gone all hours of the day. They also provide the service of frying you fish for you and for someone like me that is terrified of the oil and it popping, this is a major plus. The meat department is always happy to assist with recipes and different seasonings that will pair nicely and bring out the flavors and the fish is seasoned to your liking and can be made in less than 15 mins to pick up after you're done shopping. The selection of food is always stocked with exception to onions for whatever reason time to time but, if you need to grab something quick order a cake or pick something up in a pinch this is the place for it. read more

Don't even try to buy fried chicken because they don't want to sell any . They told a customer in front of me that there was a 45 minute wait for chicken and when it was my turn I was okay with the wait time but now they couldn't sell me more than 16 pieces (I wanted 24) because I had to order them 24 hours in advance. So I was like ohh well I guess we have to eat less so I agree with it and I asked for potato wedges and they told me I had to order those ahead of time as well ‍, they just handle a 5 pound bag in front of me , so they lost me as a customer, people go to starter Bros their chicken is delicious as well and they don't limit you on how much you need. Poor late night crew experience. Arrived at 11:20 pm in need of hygiene products. All of the hygiene products were gated off absolutely at my time arrival. This is normal, I ask a shorter white heavyset gentleman with sparse hair in his 40s-50s if he could open the gate to the hygiene products. He is chatting to a customer on his way out of the store. I waited for their conversation to finish. He agrees then we walk over to the hygiene aisle and are are greeted by another customer asking for access to the hygiene aisle. He then sternly says "I'm not supposed to open the gate after hours but i'll do it this one time". I had been there for probably 3 minutes. Not long enough to look at all bar soap there which is a small selection. Perhaps Ralphs tells the employees to not open the gate late at night, every single other night I have came here and asked for the access to hygiene the employees open it with a smile. This time the shorter gentleman is standing by the gate watching both of us look at the products. He then looks at me from the entry to hygiene and yells out, "Grab what you came here for I don't have much time". He was standing at the hygiene self checkout register where two other employees were already standing by. I just walked out and drove over to the Rancho location. He was in a bad mood and opened the gate reluctantly. She did not want to help me find where taco seasoning was and even started ringing up the customers behind me without asking while i was waiting on the manager to bring me an item. Some items I was trying to our purchase were miss priced & had improper labeling. I tried to explain that to the cahsier but she was to bizzy on her fone to listen as well was so unhelpful w/the app. I was then helped by Silvia the front end manger & she was just as incompetent, she kept trying to say that since the apples that I was buy didn't have a tag that we should just basically guess wat the price would be, even thought the produce associate was telling her that the price for apples would go into affect Wed w/the new add.. she was totally unhelpful & sarcastic.. she didn't think that the consumer should be upset over mispriced items.. This is a style wrap job I got after asking 4 people and waiting 30 minutes because floral is gone for the day at 4 o'clock. Maybe the store manager should have the floral manager teach everyone in the store how to wrap flowers so the residents could have that extra service. DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM HERE! I bought a $500 visa gift card from here. I immediately took it to a Costco 1 mi away to buy 2 Whalen shelves. When I went to activate the gift card, I found excess gummy stuff over the black strip and it could not be read. I took it back to Ralph's and also had "the representative"from visa on the phone (number on card). The language barrier was bad, and she dismissed the issue. Ralph's got the gummy stuff off, but it didn't read in their card reader also. I went home and called visa back and the guy acted like he was going to send a new card. I can tell he did nothing because he even told me I can purchase stuff online while I wait for a new card...$500 was still on the card. Several days later, I went to follow up and the new visa rep said the last call 6 days ago amounted to nothing being done. The call dropped... I called back and found that my $500 was drained at an Albertsons Grocery store earlier that day! What a nightmare! Visa card I bought at Ralph's on Sierra Lakes in Fontana was drained at an Albertsons in Banning. I filed a police report. Gummy stuff prevented my use of it. Meanwhile, someone else had access to the funds. FRAUD. Why do they leave these out for people to tamper with? read more

With so many options of different cuts of beef, this lady is so confused as to what type of cuts are more tender than others . He assisted me with a smile , knowledge and patience (seeing how busy he was) .. he stopped in the middle of what he was doing and took his time to educate me on the varieties of beef and what my options were . At the Register paying for our beef to make the soup and bones with marrow ( for another dinner menu) . Judy was friendly , since I didn't have and can't remember my old phone number from many years ago to receive the members discount. Judy used her guess pass to honor the discounts anyway. I live right next to this Ralph's and it just kills me. I go in this morning 8:30 in the morning. The place is busy but they don't have one cashier. So I have to sit there and self check out with 50 items and I'm having to search all the produce which it's labeled one thing in the produce section, but it's labeled something else in the register. Management needs to step up and keep an employee at the register. The customer service here is horrible not by the people that work here but by management. The poor guy at the self check out, had to deal with me, losing my mind because it took me so long to check out and I use self check out all the time, but this was nuts. I'm going g back to the day creek location. It's worth the drive because of the frustration of this location and Day Creek has the kids cart which my kid just loves. I honestly have never taken the time to write a review but thought I should in this case. I've been shopping at this Ralph's for the last 5 years. I love their fresh vegetables and deli. The customer service level has decreased dramatically over the past year. Stock people on the floor seem put off by customer questions and rarely take the time to show where is something is located and it's rare to see a welcoming smile. There were zero registers open this morning, only self-serve. I had a lot of fresh fruit and vegis and wanted to go through a register. At 7:00am there was hardly anyone in the store and many employees stocking shelves, but they made me wait 10-15 minutes for someone to ring me up. The cashier was rude and never even acknowledged me throughout the entire transaction This kind of service is the norm now for this store and it's very disappointing. I have been to Ralph's in person 3 times since the COVID started and that botched delivery. I give up! STRIKE 3, you're OUT. Many empty shelves. No paper goods (IE plates, napkins, paper towels or toilet paper) Half the row was empty. The other half of the row had hand sanitizer and wipes. At check out, people waiting in every line. Bunch of people also waiting in self check out. I could go on and on but I'll just say RALPHS isn't doing very good. They used to be my Go To Store. Now the Redbox is a jip went one time to rent something movie never came out but got charged. Today I went rented a game and the game came out. Yes!!! Change of luck... NOPE! I get my rental open and some stole the game and photo copied the cover and put that in there instead. Now I have a piece of paper I can't do anything with. Then Redbox tells me to make sure I return the case with the paper or I'll get charged more. This is koo koo ca chu!!! This is our go to local grocery store. They have competitive prices and a great selection of items. I love their bargain racks! The best deals happen Saturday mornings. Their meats go on sale a lot. I love the variety of milk and breads. I tend to buy bread when I can get it cheap for my family. This place doesn't disappoint. Also, they have a wonderful group of workers. They show extreme kindness to all. They offer to help everyone out when they see us juggling. They have a great return policy and our very quick to help customers out. read more

I always have a wonderful experience at this Ralph's. I want to give a big shout out and a huge thanks to the lady that works in the charcuterie section at Ralph's. I believe her name is Jen. Today I went in and asked her if they had anymore of the Marin French Brie cheese. She had told me that they were currently out but were planning to get some in stock in a couple of days. I had told her that the reason I wanted to get it packaged was because I had previously bought bri cheese that was bad (happened two times to me). She felt so bad and offered to let me grab a Brie cheese and that she would not charge me. I insisted that it was okay but she wanted to make things right. She let me grab a sliced brie cheese and told me I did not have to pay for it due to my previous experience of the brie cheese. She then proceeded to tell me how sorry she was. I know it's not her fault and things do happen to spoil, it was just my luck. Thank you for ALWAYS treating me and I'm sure all the other customers nicely! That was very kind of you. The only reason why this place gets 1 star is because of the amazing and incredibly helpful people that work here. I am in here almost everyday because I like picking fresh things for dinner. Boy was Ralph's NOT playing when they said that there Cod was FRESH. After paying over $30 bucks for Cod filets I went home and was greeted by a parasite in the fish filets. The people there were very helpful in resolving the issue and went as far as throwing away the entire Cod selection. The good: the employees of this store are really nice and helpful! There is a good selection of food. I come here because it is very close to my house, so last minute food needs are quickly taken care of. The not so good: high prices AND the last two times I've come to the store, I've grabbed food items out of dairy that are EXPIRED! On 12/10 I purchased a bunch of yogurt, and today (12/23) I went to eat one and check the date. This yogurt expired over a month ago!! The same thing happened with a four pack of butter - it expired a few days before I purchased it. I live in a single person household so I know I purchased these items and they weren't left in the fridge from before. DO BETTER, RALPHS! Just when I had finished scanning all of my items at self-checkout, and proceeded to pay, I had realized that my wallet was not on me. A very nice employee who was working in the self-checkout area came over and let me go back home to get some cash while she kept the items suspended until payment. She was not only so helpful through the whole process, but very friendly and empathetic. This experience really left a warm impression on me, that there are still really good people in this world. There's a sign that says sanitized baskets. There are no baskets, the baskets that were there, were put there by exiting customers. There is no one there sanitizing baskets and they've removed the wipes that used to be there - I'm assuming for fear people would steal them. I went there at 12;37 bought two things and left , then, remembered I forgot Vanilla Pudding and turned around came back at 12:52AM and the security guard WOULD NOT let us in. There was 8 minutes left until close and he wouldn't budge even though I explained that I'd be really quick. This is the whole reason I ran over here before close, To complete a recipe And may I mention I just had surgery and I needed to use the restroom. I was a paying customer who needed one more thing for a dessert I'm making and to use the restroom and the security guard was just thinking about closing time and neglected his responsibility to provide customer service. They have baggers they forgot to put a bag in my cart and when I got home I noticed everything missing. So the parking lot was smaller than I expected; it was hard to find a proper parking since there was abandoned shopping carts everywhere. Kinda need a bigger space since I had my baby with me. Finally found a spot not infested with shopping carts lol. Inside the store was clean, a bit disappointed in some of the aisles since it looked like they were not stocking fast enough or just don't care to. They ran out of baby water so that was a bummer, no associates to be seen anywhere to ask so had to go get the baby water elsewhere. This is what I dont understand how are you going to have Samsung pay but NOT Apple Pay. How does that work? I had gotten all my groceries and food for my nieces and nephew all in all I had about 200$ worth of stuff in the cart. And they say they don't accept Apple Pay. Wow. Also why are these employees so rude and disrespectful. The guy that was at the cash register said " we don't accept that crap" I was like wow. Never thought employees hold them selfs so low. I couldn't believe it that they can't refund me for products they never put in my car while they also have the receipt and the products at the store with them. Also, if they don't want to talk to you they just drop your call. They are also EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude with their attitude. We ordered groceries using the Ralph's app and picked it up at the Sierra Lakes Fontana, California store location. When we got home, we realized that a pumpkin pie we ordered was missing.We called the store and asked them for a refund, they insisted we go into the store to get the refund.We tried to explain that due to the distance (we were already home), and the current global crisis, that we could not go into the store to get the refund. After our phone call being transferred multiple times, we were patched in to the store manager, Sandra who had a tendency to raise her voice when we tried to explain that we could not go into the store. Throughout the ordeal, our call was dropped multiple times and we had to call back multiple times.After almost 45 minutes, Sandra told us that she called Kroger and resolved the issue. We thanked her. An hour later after eating dinner, we were unpacking the rest of our groceries and realized that we were missing 3 more items (2 brown sugar bags, and vanilla extract). We called the store again to let them know, the lady who picked up said she was busy and put us on hold. We were on hold for several minutes and the call was dropped. Throughout the ordeal, they mentioned several times that they were too busy for us. We called back again. We told again our issue, and the lady talking to us argued with us stating that she personally picked our stuff and talked over us when we tried to tell her that the items were not put in our car. We then told her that the other employee that we first talked to a few hours ago stated that the items were still at the store in a "tote." She stopped insisting that we have it when we told her that her colleague said it himself that it is right in front of him. We told her the manager before was able to refund us for the pumpkin pie that was never placed in our car, so why couldn't they refund the other products they never placed in our car. She also said multiple times that there was no store manager present that night, so none of them can help me further. Eventually, a store manager magically appeared and she transferred us to Manager Fernando and we told him our situation. Fernando told us to come to the store for our refund, and became impatient and unprofessional with the way he spoke over us with an impatient voice when we tried to explain that we could not go into the store that night. (FYI, they have the online order and the products they never placed in my car). He also told us he would transfer us to another manager "who would tell us the same thing", and when we said yes, he said the manager is on lunch break. He then began to get personal and spoke to us in a demeaning way by stating things such as, "well in your work do you..," and "well how far do you live really? How many miles are we talking about?" He also said, "how much is it" in referring to the items not placed in my car but I was charged (implying why I would go for all this effort for tens of dollars). I told him that we felt that those statements were very personal and unprofessional since we are not obliged to disclose our personal life for a mistake they admitted. I told him why the other manager can take care of the refund by calling, why can't he? I asked him multiple times if I could get a refund that night for the products that they still have along with that were never placed in my car, he wouldn't give us a straight answer and for many minutes. I told him if the other manager can give us a refund, why can't he. It's very unethical & unprofessional to not give a customer a refund that same day for something they never gave me . We have life-long shoppers at Ralphs and in all that time we have never had such an unsettling experience over a refund over products that one of their associates admitted was never placed in my car. read more
