Great crew, but communication and supervision need improvement…read more The crew that installed my fence did a great job, and the workmanship was excellent. Unfortunately, the experience with sales and the supervisor team was frustrating. I was told in writing that installation and staining would be completed in one day, only to learn after installation that staining required a separate crew and additional days. This should have been communicated upfront. My $5,220 quote was also $500 higher than a competing quote getting work done in the same week. After raising my concerns and dealing with some frustration with the supervisor team, management stepped in and made the right call by reducing the price by $300. Ultimately, the crew deserves credit for their great work, and management deserves credit for making things right. Better communication and coordination upfront would have made this a much better experience. Four stars for the quality of work and management's eventual response.

I had this company come out and build me a mental gate for my driveway I absolutely love my Gate,…read morebut there was many hiccups in the making of it first of all the privacy metal that was placed behind my gate was put up with markings all over it look like the plastic that it was wrapped in had stuck to the metal and they managed to put it up anyway when I came back and spoke with the owner he said it came like that you could see where he was trying to wipe it clean all the panels were like that I was a little disappointed to think that he would even continue to put them up, thinking that I would be OK with that although I am aware it's not his fault, but as he came back and stated that the company was assuming I had something to do with that was absolutely ridiculous him and I knowing that he picked up the product as is that took away from time on the project took way longer than I expected for it to finish. Also, there was a little bit of hiccups. The top of the caps on the post were not screwed in there was denting in certain places scratching on certain areas to say the least I love my Gate. He made all the provisions too, make it right by installing a little side Fence at no extra charge. When the job was finished, I was happy with the progress and the aesthetics of it and we talked about finishing my project this year with the same design, he did the Gate. He said he would be interested to just notify him the conversation went smoothly and amicably. I didn't feel that there was any hard feelings being that I've done nothing wrong so i was looking forward to start this new project. I messaged him through the Yelp app. He said that he was in the area and normally does not do estimates on Sunday, but that he would come by at 5pm . I don't think he was aware that it was me until I gave him the address. He never called nor did he show up ! not sure how I emotionally feel about that but professionally he could have notified me and said he would not come or he was not interested in my project, I believe I was owed that much respect, but I do believe everything is for a reason because to work with somebody on such a big project you really would need to be in one accord so that is why I put this under "maybe"

I explained what I wanted when I spoke with the rep and was quoted something else. The company does not attempt to hear customers out. Their response is "page 6 of the contract you signed." It's pointless to speak with them about anything. I should have went with another company after waiting for almost two hours for someone to get back with me the day of my install but I was tired of looking for someone to do my fence. The fence was supposed to be out in the found but thy did not happen and there is still space at the bottom. I wanted to update my review since Peta, escalation manager reached out to me to try to rectify the situation. Peta sent me a gift basket and submitted a refund of $600 with the hopes that I will take my review down. I informed her that thanks for that but I will not take my review down. On the contrary, a day after speaking and receiving text messages from Peta. I noticed that cats were getting in my backyard and was wondering how. I went to my backyard only to find two pieces of my fence missing. I reached out to Peta via text and still have not received a response. My fence was completed on 7/16. How could it already get broken. This is insane to me when I was informed the wood is sturdy.

Our fence blew down a couple of months ago. Our neighbor, who shares the fence, found Javier's…read moreFence Repair, 2618 Strivens Way, Modesto, CA, to do the replacement. We also asked Javier to build us a new gate as the old one had been in place for nearly 20 years. He charged nearly $1,700 for the fence and another $280 for the gate. When I inspected the fence after he and his man left I noticed two warped boards, one with a gap of ~1/4 inch on one side and the other with a gap of over 1/2 inch on both sides. This is supposed to be a privacy fence, and while I'm not too worried about needing privacy from my neighbors, it looks pretty bad to charge that much and not do a perfect job. They also installed the gate backwards, it opens out, with the hasp on the outside, and we want it to open in, with the hasp on the inside so we can put a padlock on it. We can lock it now, but it is extremely inconvenient to have to go out the front door to unlock the gate every time I need to use it. We have called Javier four times to ask him to come out and fix the fence and the gate. Once he told me he would call back to tell me when he could come out and never did, the other three times he actually committed to a date to come out and fix it, the last of which was today. I just got home from work and the gate and fence have still not been fixed. I would not recommend Javier to anyone, except maybe my worst enemy. Also, they used our water hoses, front and back, and did not roll them up after they were done or turn the water off. And, when they first arrived I asked if they could haul away a small amount of trash lumber that has been sitting in the backyard for a few years, He said he would take it when they left. Not only did they not take the lumber that he said they would take, they also filled our trashcan and recycling cans with their scrap lumber and they put trash in our recycling bin that I had to dig out and put in the trashcan in order to avoid a possible fine. AND they trampled a bunch of flowers getting to the hose in the front yard! Lastly, while they were working the first day (it took them two days to do the jab) I went out and emptied the trunk of my car to make room for same recyclables that I was going to turn in. I dropped a couple of empty water bottles on the ground and the older of the two men came over and asked if he could have them. I said no, I'm going to turn them in in a little while and he tried to take them anyway. After they left I found their empty water bottles in our recycling can. I don't know why he tried to steal my bottles when he didn't even take his own with him.

The price was the most competitive of the three estimates I received prior to hiring this company. Only complaint is the workers did leave two empty and half empty Pepsi cans in the backyard and the recycling can was near where they were working so it would have been easy for them to dispose of their trash. It was a very mild inconvenience to clean up after them, so it's easy to overlook in comparison to the fantastic work on the fence.
