For the first time ever today, I bought something from their deli. The first two times I walked by the deli counter, nobody was there. The third and final time, there was a guy there who looked like he was busy doing something else and my being there was just a thorn in his side. "Can I help you?" "Yes I just need a few slices of ham." "What kind of ham?" "What flavors do you have?" No answer from him, I look at the roughly 30 different slabs of meat in their display. "Oh ok, the honey one is probably good." "How much of it do you want?" "Three slices should do it." Takes the honey ham out, cuts 3 slices, puts in bag. "That's it??" "That's it." I take it and leave. 3 not very big slices, 3 bucks. SMH.

We were so hungry that everything was eaten before I had a chance to take any photos. The prices are very reasonable. We also bought a sheet of sesame bread which was so good. Overall, we would come back if we are craving for Persian food. Service is fine. The deli is located inside the marketplace.

We first kind of did an overview of the whole place, checking out the bakery, the kitchen (wonderful aromas) produce, and then the canned and jarred goods. Then I worked up my courage at the kitchen and asked the guy if he could help me, because I had no idea what I was looking at, but it all looked and smelled amazing! He was so sweet and after asking, if we were vegetarians, which we weren't, he then gave us samples of two of the most popular dishes. These were both stews and had such a complexity of flavor. One is with ground walnuts, and pomegranate juice and small little meatballs, and the other was this amazing mix of herbs and greens and fava beans, which I might not normally choose, but tasted great! We ended up getting containers of those and then tried a couple different types of the rice. One had dill and other herbs in it, while the other one seemed to have lentils and maybe raisins? Once again, so good. We also got a quarter chicken and he packed them all up. It comes with this wonderful yogurt, herbed condiment. Our only mistake was not also picking up some flatbread to go with it. I picked up a chopped cucumber and tomato salad, and it's great because they have the dressing separated inside the container so it doesn't get soggy. Yes, like most places in Encino parking is going to be interesting! Their parking is directly in front of their entrance and at first it didn't look like there was anything, but then we realize there actually was. I found everybody friendly, even had some very lovely woman recommend some of the nuts and seeds to us. Speaking of which they have an enormous selection of both. I had no idea there were so many different types of sunflower seeds to name just one of the selections. In retrospect, I should've gotten some cookies! We will definitely be back, I would think it would be a great place to stock up and treat friends to an interesting set of new tastes. If you're vegetarian, they have an enormous selection as well.

The produce section during my recent visit was particularly disappointing--they didn't even have staple seasonal fruit like peaches in stock. The entrance and exit points are poorly designed, creating constant traffic bottlenecks and close-call situations both on the street and inside the lot. Between the tight layout and drivers frequently parking over the lines, navigating it is genuinely stressful. It is a convenient location for a quick grab-and-go run, but the cramped parking and limited inventory make it tough for a full grocery trip.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was great. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and all of the guys working there made it a point to let me know they were available if I needed help. As a first-time shopper, I never felt judged for asking questions or taking my time looking around. They were also extremely helpful getting my account set up and explaining how everything worked. The selection honestly exceeded my expectations. The quality of the meat is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable overall. A few items felt a little pricey, but not enough to take away from the experience. I've already been back twice since my first visit. I stocked my freezer with bone-in pork chops, lobster, and several other items, and the pork chop quality alone was enough to make me a repeat customer. I also loved seeing seafood options like orange roughy and red snapper--items that aren't always easy to find or are often sold out elsewhere. Knowing I can run over and grab quality proteins without making multiple stops is a huge plus. Beyond the meat and seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the pantry selection. They carry sauces, seasonings, and other staples, and there were some really good sales happening at the front of the store. Parking was easy, and while most people seemed to get in and out quickly, I happily wandered every aisle because I wanted to see everything. If you're a home cook or a fellow chef looking for quality frozen, vacuum-sealed proteins and a fantastic selection, I definitely recommend checking out Wild Fork. I'll absolutely be back.
