Parking is way too crowded and people never watch their surroundings, makes me want to ride my bike to Ralph's to avoid traffic. The Ralph's is clean However, Prepared food looks gross, definitely not fresh! The salad bar definitely sucks & $7 for chopped vegetables and overcooked soup. Meats and seafood is great and their meat department definitely has a great selection. Flowers are ok, some arrangements can be a mixture of good and bad flowers which sometimes isn't a big deal. Registers in service 3-4 and self checkout which I hate. I always go to the registers with males, they are much nicer and they do have a better attitudes than the females. read more

One of the best Ralphs around. Anytime I am there they have every checkout going and at full speed. The staff is friendly the store is clean. The guys behind the meet/fish counter are very helpful. The sushi is fresh and delicious. There is always someone behind the cheese counter willing to help or have you try something. Just a really well and thought out store. Whoever is in charge clearly cares and understands what they are doing. It is a pleasure to shop there. read more

I've been shopping at Ralph's for years and I just can't take it anymore. The store is always crowded, the aisles are too narrow, and the cashiers are over worked and rude. They don't enforce any social distancing. They don't help bag groceries and will just stand there and push your stuff to the end while checking out the next person before your finished. This last straw I was recently exposed so I thought there responsible thing to do would be to order online for pickup. I arrived at the start of my pickup window and waited an HOUR before I was finally able to get someone on the phone. He was incredibly rude and told me that he hadn't started my order and that he had 91 other orders to do. I told him to cancel (which is clearly what he wanted me to do) and left with nothing. I realize it's busy and covid is extra layer of stress right now but all I ask is that you're polite and apologize for wasting my time. There's no reason to be nasty to me when I was very patient and polite. With all the other shopping options nearby I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

I used to shop at Whole Foods because I wanted organic fruits and vegetables but that quickly became super expensive. In the past year or two Ralph's has introduced more and more organic produce. small ralph's stopped in early sunday morning around 10 am and every isle was littered with stock boxes ! why are they doing this on sunday morning? you could not get through the isles and it's not safe . The homemade tortilla chips from the deli counter are the $&!?. So freaking good. They don't have them every day so be on the lookout and be sure to buy a bag when they have them. This Ralph's is always clean and has a pretty good selection. The lines always move fairly fast so you can get in and out in a jiffy. Minus one star because they sometimes don't have everything I need, but it's usually some specialty item that I can only get at Whole Foods. Otherwise it's a great neighborhood store with a Starbucks inside if you need to get your caffeine fix while picking up your eggs. read more

A very helpful and welcoming man (has a unique name that starts with K) who offered help and suggestions in picking fruit., he was very kind to my children. If I could give it less than one star I would. If only I could remember the managers name. I stopped into the store late on night to buy lunch for the next day. Having no clue what to buy; I found Oro-wheat bread loaves on sale @ 2 for $5.00. Everything I put into my basket over the next half hour was based on the bread. Upon checking out, the bread rings up for the wrong price, an issue the clerk says he had earlier. I asked to speak to the manager, after having him check the price he simply and indifferently stated it was in the wrong place. Usually when something like this happens at another store they offer to fix the price. No such offer tonight sweet prince! That's okay, I had him return every single item while reminding him that he lost $40 worth of business based on not correcting the situation. I drove a few blocks down to Vons and got even more for my dollars. read more

This Ralphs is okay. I frequent this location because of its convenience. The deli department is probably the best part of this Ralphs. It has a large variety of items, especially the Boar's Head meats and cheeses. Sometimes some of the salads look old and not very fresh. This store is on the small side and I can't always find what I am looking for here. Since it is small, sometimes the displays block the aisles and make it a little difficult to get around. The employees are hit or miss. Sometimes you get a very helpful one and sometimes, not so much. There is a Starbucks which is convenient. I have to remember to bring my own bags when I come here because it is Los Angeles and they don't provide bags (or you can purchase a brown paper bag for 10 cents each). There is plenty of parking but the parking lot is kind of dirty and very busy. I usually stop here for sandwiches or if I forgot to pick up something for dinner or to get some Starbucks. read more

I've been shopping at this market for almost 16 years and seen it go down in service dramatically. The deli service very slow. The staff not as good as before. Not as neat and organized as it once was. It seems that they just don't care any more. I wanted to order something at the bakery counter and I waited and waited. I've been coming to this Ralph's for a few years but let me tell you something honey...only when I have to. It's a very small store to begin with so they do carry the necessities but that's about it. The parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare, the cashiers generally act like they could care less about you and asking for help is like pulling teeth. The best thing this store ever did was put in the self checkout lanes so you can get in and get out quickly without having to interact. The store is there if you need it but honestly, try Bristol Farms across the street. read more

Lines were crazy long and not much line space. Self check outs don't function without an error message every step of the way. If they're going to replace cashiers with more self check outs then they're going to lose a shopper. Employ people. Employ baggers to help lines move. I think there's more grocery cart collectors than there are cashiers. read more

Rare poor customer service at Ralphs. At 8 p.m., I had hoped to talk to the bakery about a photo cake for my father-in-law's 90th birthday. Bakery open until 9 p.m. but no one staffing it and no manager in the entire store able to help. Normally the store has decent customer service. My husband thinks the two-tiered pay system has led to newer, younger employees who don't really care about the customers because their pay is so low. read more

One of the greeters even went out of her way to grab an employee to check me out since I has only one item. Salad bar looked better, that is more fresh, but I did not try it today. I am not sure what Ralphs a previous poster shopped at. Yes, their "organic aisle" is gone, although the food is interspersed in other aisles. They carry Perrier. (for some reason it's always on sale for a dollar so when I can't be bothered to brave the parking lines at Costco, guess where I'm shopping). The selection is good, the sale prices for "Ralphs Club members" are really good (went from $20 to $12 the other day plus a coupon). If I want organic, I go to Trader Joes. This is a horrid Ralph's. I must give credit, though, to the staff who are friendly and helpful. The produce, on the other hand , is inferior. The organic fruit and veg section is so tiny. What they had on offer today was limited and also of poor quality and totally overpriced. Throughout the rest of the store it is challenging to find organic nor healthier options . Rather you will find shelves laden with processed goods and Monsanto sponsored gmo products. Disappointing!!!! read more

5 stars for their Boar's Head sandwiches! They make the best sandwiches I have ever had. Way better then Subway!

I have never had much of an opinion one way or another about a market (apart from Trader Joe's, of course!) But this market has something really special- a kick-ass cheese section. There must be fifty different cheeses here, most imported, all amazing. They've got ten different Goudas, tons of Brie and Camembert, Bellavitanos, goat cheeses, Cheddars and more. The people who work in this section are really helpful and usually very knowledgeable. They're happy to cut a sample (or five) for you, and can make valuable recommendations. I've become especially strung out on two different cheeses: a delicious Cotswald with chives and (my favorite) the Merlot Bellavitano. It's an amazing imported Bellavitano in which the rind is cured in Merlot. So good! It's fun to see the giant wheels of cheese and read all the detailed descriptions. And it's hard to believe all this good stuff is at a Ralph's in Encino, right? read more

I like this Ralph's. The deli is good and the whole store is not crowded. The people at the cash register always try to make small talk and most of them have a great sense of humor. Parking is ok, but it can get annoying because for some reason, a lot of people in the parking lot do not know how to drive and drive horrible. read more
