Passed by here on a Monday late afternoon / early evening. It wasn't busy but there were a handful of people and it seemed like the employees were running back and forth trying to get things into place. Not sure it it was just a small window they had to restock in the middle of their shifts or maybe Monday night / Tuesday morning is a big day for them. Anyways the energy felt high in the place. Came for a late lunch because I missed it earlier in the day plus some snacks and an energy drink since I was in the middle of traffic heading back down to San Diego and still had 2 hours left. Got an Italian sandwich fr the deli. A Celsius. Some energy cookies. And gummy bears. It all came out to about 22 dollars. Parking is good. They share a lot with some fast food restaurants and other businesses. The spaces are slanted. Drive slow and be safe. read more

Man, I wish this was a lot better grocery store. It's so close to my house every time I come here it's just disappointing their produce Department is not up to par with other Ralphs . I pick through a few grapefruits trying to find a good one they're definitely was fruit that should've been tossed in the trash, but I bought three hoping I found some good ones. first one I opened up today was I don't know it was dried it out. Didn't have any flavor. Threw it away just like my money. The people at the store, friendly enough and the store has an inviting ambience. I was in this area for work and stopped in to get some food for lunch!! I stepped up to the hot deli area, there was wings and potato wedges sitting there, a rude lady from the other side slicing meats named debbie yelled to the other girl csnt even open everyone always wants something before we open. If you dont want people to eat what you put out, then put a sign or dont put it out until you are ready to sell it!!! You could have kindly asked me to wait until it was all ready, I prolly would have waited but you didnt. Then I checked out and went to Starbucks and the gentleman named Diego that helped me was very attentive and professional!! Thank you diego!!! We appreciate your customer service skills!! I was in line for an online instacart order & the customers order declined. So I stepped to the side to contact customer support they said I didn't need to use the card since it's online. So I got back in line thinking that she would take me next since she saw me off to the side. But instead proceeded to take the next two customers then as I get back in line she says sorry I'm going on my lunch. So I thought OK she will tell the next cashier to take me next. But instead she told me to get in line and wait! There are like 5 people in front of me! This is so unprofessional!!! The items in my car already bagged up all I needed to do was swipe the instacart card! I'm standing in line with a cart full of bagged groceries! It's been half an hour!!! If I could give 0 rating but it won't let me. Every time I shop here something is a pain in a**! Too many stand alone displays! Construction shuts down half the store with no signage telling customers meat department is closed, so you have to walk halfway to the meat department to find out or the self checkout is demanding help and the are no checkers! Tonight that happened again as usual and there were NO employees available, I evened yelled for help and there no employees visible. I left without my items and as I was leaving I found the only two employees in the parking lot staring into the distance. This store is failure! Will never shop here again. Lots has change with this location since 2016. I have been back sevral times for very specific items that the OTHER location in town failed to continue to carry. After rude behavior and snide comments from an employee at their deli, I decided to shop here instead, despite the other location being walking distance away and soaring gas prices. Management: Thanks for doing what I clearly see as upholding the values that the company had in mind when they started out. Oh and if I had one wish, it would be that all stores could be as well stocked and carry the variety that the NoHo/Magnolia store... or Seal Beach stores do... but, the demographic here is not up to par with those neighborhoods, I guess... otherwise I'd have that which I like and continually crave without the fuel expense tacked onto my delicacies. We had to stop by and buy some beer and Coke for the Sunday football game. The twelve pack of Modelo beer was priced right with a lower than usual price and the inexpensive Coke which no one drank LOL. Been coming to this Ralph's for 15 years, and they've always been so kind! They are always stocked, clean, and have a good variety of items. My favorite part is the customer service. Some employees have been working there for a very long time, and they are so personable and helpful. Once I bought strawberries and they grew mold the next day, so they replaced them right away, no questions asked. Same thing with a small carton of milk - I noticed some damage to the container when I got home, and it was a super easy exchange. Good people work here. read more

I bought some red onions, and when I got home, there is mold on them I was going to buy some grapefruits, but they fell over ripe and squishy. Their bag dispensaries had no twist ties. This store is close to home, but sometimes I drive to Albertsons or other groceries stores because this store is sometimes a disappointment. - produce does not always look fresh. Especially their fruits. I can never take fruits home because they always have mold. So CHECK YOUR FRUITS when buying. - service is horrible, is this store understaff? (I usually go in the mornings) Why do we have open 1 register (if we are lucky) but most of the time it's only self check out. I buy my weekly groceries, I don't want to scan all these 50+ items. Self check outs are meant for those who had at least 12 items or less. It's to be convenient. However, this store decided to open all self checkouts so we can all do their jobs. Two registers should be at least open for those who have a ton of groceries. We spend more time waiting on self checkout because some people are unable to use the self checkout correctly. So tell me, is having all self checkouts open really a great idea? The workers standing around by the self check out should see when someone who has a lot of groceries should ask another employee to open up a register for them since it takes longer. - Also, check your expiration dates of all your items before placing it in your cart. I've found numerous amount of items that have expired months ago or a year ago. read more

This review is to give Sal at Ralph's recognition for assisting me in finding items I needed. I came in last night and the store was not busy. I came across and walked up to a group of employees talking and asked employees about an item I was looking for and none of them took the time to help me locate the items, they said they didn't think they had the item without looking. I searched as best I could on my own, but when I came across Sal I asked him and he not only walked with me to look for the product, he went to the stockroom and double checked and found the item I needed. I greatly appreciate your willingness to go above and beyond to help me and I hope the managers and higher ups recognize your efforts and give you the recognition you deserve. One of my favorite Ralphs in SoCal! Perhaps it the timing of the day I usually go (after work which is actually around the morning after my graveyard shift) and it is quite empty! In the dozen or so number times I have visited, I am often greeted by staff and they are courteous and helpful. I never / rarely experience this when I'm shopping in Monterey Park/ Pasadena area Ralphs so I think there is an overall higher level of job satisfaction here (or maybe people here are just more chill and happier lol). At this time of the day, plenty of things are in stock. I came by on the last day of the weekend sale and found all the items I wanted. Been going to this Ralph for years. But lately over the past year or so the service keeps diminishing. It's hard to find anybody to ask them about a certain product. It's even worse early morning or late at night when they don't wanna work at the registers, they stand around watching you, and only come to help when the light is flashing. Monica last night at self check out at 11 PM!!! Shout out to her and a HUGE thank you I was in a rush after celebrating daughter's 25 bday in Long Beach. I stepped in in heels and I have Fibromyalgia I asked Monica if the garlic by any chance was peeled and packaged sold while I was the the self check out. I was already paying for 1 whole garlic. I had searched entire store and couldn't find it to make the salsa for my office. Monica skipped with a happy attitude took it upon herself and searched. I watched her in action. I couldn't believe she did this!!!! It was late, her eyes looked tired. She smiled, she had a very cheerful attitude and willing to assist. She was extremely self aware of all customers and helped us all and multi tasked!!!! The timing, the no cashier's, the diligence and her ability to problem self, her initiative!!! I went to this store this morning on my way to work to quickly pick up a birthday cake for my VP/Boss. I went to the bakery and asked if they had any gluten free cakes. I was told, yes just look in the refrigerator there are some in there. I said, can you please show me? She grumbled and then pointed out where the cakes were. As I said, I was trying to quickly get a last minute birthday cake. I went to the front of the store to get in line for a cashier, there were none in sight. None of the registers had their light on. The only registers with lights on were self service (which I detest). I asked are there any cashiers? The employee said, here come here I will help you. He never answered my question. All the cashiers must have been on break AT THE SAME TIME!!! So I waited and he was helping another customer at another self check out. I said, are you going to ring me up? He said, no this is self check out. I said, I don't want to have to do this myself. He said it's easy and walked away. There were lines of customers waiting to do self check out because there were no cashiers in sight. So I had to pull out my reading glasses to figure out how to start. I figured it out, paid and waited for my receipt. There was none. The same guy said, oh we can get a reprint, I need to get a manager. He said, we've been having that problem all morning. (??) I said I need a proper receipt to turn in as this is for work. The manager offered, "we can cancel your transaction and start over." I said, I am in a hurry and this whole process has taken much longer than I expected. She rudely "re-printed" a receipt, tore it off and the name of the store was missing. It was a very frustrating experience to say the least. I will NEVER shop there again. VERY POOR customer service indeed terrible management and I didn't even get the employee discount for checking my own groceries! read more

I can say it started last Thanksgiving when I went in to buy a last minute dessert. I looked at the pie section and found 3 cherry pie with mold on them. I was in a rush so I didn't remove them. I picked some cookies and ice cream I could dress up. As I was checking out I told the cashier about the pies and she said she would look into it. Of course the store was busy so she kept taking customers. As I was walking out I told a young man taking in carts and told him as well. Again, I'll look into it. A few hours later I was running low on drinks and again ran to the store. The bakery section is at the entrance of the store. I took a look and found the pies were still there. I took the pies with me and picked up the drinks and when to check out. As I was handing the cashier the pies she scanned one. She wasn't even listening to me tell her about the pies. I just asked " you're going to sell me molded pies?" Thursday I went in (which I hadn't gone back since thanksgiving) and picked up a few items and saw some fresh fruit. I was hungry so I picked it up. Sadly, the fruit was bad. The honeydew tasted coppery and the watermelon was sour. I'll have to sick with picking up drinks from this store. read more

I am extremely disappointed with how this large grocery chain is handling the COVID 19 situation. It is important to enforce social distancing and ensure a safe space for their customers. I saw MULTIPLE employees not wearing face masks even after the governor announced the order to require face masks. Additionally, they don't limit the number of customers and don't leave enough space between lines. They should be marking the floor with 6 ft social distance markers. Please take note and take the governor's order seriously. Also, this Ralph's is one of the worst stocked Ralph's. The diary section is very limited and doesn't have enough milk varieties. read more

I went to the deli to pick up some chicken right after chemo. I dont have the strength to cook. This is specifically for the bakery. For my daughter's third birthday I ordered a cake here. When I came to pick it up, it was not ready. I decided to give them another chance for her 7th birthday. I ordered way in advance, I requested the cake be ready much earlier than needed to make sure it was ready this time. I asked for red border and got pink. I asked for orange flowers and got none. To top it off I asked for white cake and got marble. I will not be ordering from them again. My daughter cried. read more

I must start by saying that when I got to the market it is either a peaceful experience or a disastrous moment due to all the impatient people who are shopping....I chose to do self checkout this time due to customers being impatient and not wanting to wait, I had a full full basket and was ready to go, Mona was the employee in charge of that area and she was so beyond patient let alone very kind. It's employees with that type of personality that make it a great experience for customers like myself who take their time and have be organized while packing my bags.
