Parking lot is quite small and chaotic but with patience you'll find a spot! 4/5 because after 10p they start doing their restocking with palettes often blocking full aisles or completely blocking cold sections, making them inaccessible. read more

Local and reliable! Ralph's in Culver City is one of the most convenient grocery stores for me to pass by, so I find myself here often even though it rarely has the variety of Asian ingredients I hope to find. The parking lot out front feels really tight, so I try to find a spot a little bit farther away to spare myself the stress of nearby cars and pedestrians. It is always pretty clean, as all grocery stores should be. I spend a lot of time in the produce section and was really grateful to have kind staff bring out the fresh fruit for me when I'm there. That's really only happened on maybe 2-3 visits, but they've helped me pick out the best of what I am looking for, which they definitely didn't have to do. I also want to note about the time I bought napa cabbage here. It seems they only carry the dark green napa cabbage, which offers a different taste from the light green napa cabbage I prefer to cook with. I was hopeful to think I had one of my favorite hot pot vegetables available here, but I was wrong and will likely not be getting that cabbage again now that I know better. Finally, the sushi available here looks kind of sad compared to the sushi I have seen be available from other Ralph's locations. The selection is small but rarely seems appetizing, so I have never craved sushi from the options they have there. I am curious to see how their rotisserie chicken is. My sister and I stopped in Ralphs on 11/05/21 as we needed to get some drinks for my early birthday celebration and snacks for the nieces, other sister and bro in law. They were all so tired from our fun day at Six Flags Magic Mountain so we volunteered to go in and get the items. When I lived in Santa Monica and Westwood for two years. Ralphs was a whole new experience for me. It is such a staple in Southern California. I still have my Ralphs card and my family always get excited when we come to Ralphs as we know we are going to find legit good deals! I honestly believe the food prices are cheaper here than Central Valley in my opinion. Anywho, my first time at this location in Culver City as I usually frequent other locations were I use to live or where we are staying. But since this was on the way to the place we made a quick pit stop but I seriously do the most in any store especially if they have popping music in its over. My sister usually gets annoyed or embarrassed but I can't help it xD They have your usually grocery store items like ice cream, alcohol, juice, meats, deli, bakery, dairy, seasonal items, snacks and so much more. This store was very organized and clean. We found everything with ease. We got deals on alcohol purchases which was nice and saved boatloads of money. After check out I wanted to get some scatchers from their lotto kiosk and some older dude was there and we waited patiently. While waiting he struck up a conversation with us that he let us know he was a chauffeur and waiting for his "well known celebrity client" to be at the airport and shared with us a few stories which was pretty cool if it was true. Anywho, I got my scratchers and he let us know that earlier at another location he let a younger gentleman go first and that dude won 100K from a scratcher so he decided to come to this Ralphs and try his luck. I had only one reason to stop here after a morning at the beach. Our friends had shared with us that Ralphs sells fresh ready to cook tortillas, which I have yet to see at a grocery store. We have been on the hunt for the best tortillas without preservatives. Yes I know I can just make them myself, but to save some time, we decided to travel to the store to buy some. Most of the Mexican markets I go to, do make their own fresh tortillas but many of them use preservatives, which are listed on the back of their plastic packaging. Parking: This parking lot was pretty packed and tight. We just happened to snag one upon entering the lot. Customer Service: There are many people working at the store. After looking around in the tortilla and frozen section area without any luck, I asked a worker where I can locate the fresh ready to cook tortillas, she had no idea what I was talking about. She told me to look in aisle 10 in the frozen bread area, nothing. My husband happened to browse the dairy section, which is how we found them. Checkout: They have regular checkout aisles and two sections of self checkout, which is what I did. No line, was easy to use. Verdict: The only reason I would come to Ralphs is for the tortillas if I don't feel like making them myself. I generally buy the ones with preservatives, this flour tortilla only has 5 ingredients, which is fantastic, and actually taste more like an authentic tortilla. Been coming here ever since I was a kid!But I can see them doing better. Recenfly, I tried buying some body wash (for the second time) and attendant tries to charge me, right as I'm coming out the Section...( not even sure if I'm going to buy it yet), lady! I don't know why they implemented this system but it's embarrassing... Store is full of items and hard to move around with carts. Long lines also make it frustrating to shop. Points system is confusing and don't see many advantages in savings! However, when I tried to return a spoiled item, they gave a new one, no questions asked! read more

I've had pretty good experience the few times I shopped here. Large produce and diary sections, well stocked service deli .... I was able to find everything I needed. Service was not bad. I saw a cashier opened up as lines get long. The helper at checkout bagged my items very quickly with good courtesy. A few customers were a bit rude but that's not anything the store could control. Apparently, there is one - ONLY one - Ralph's in all of Los Angeles who has not only *never heard of Passover*, but was also unfamiliar with matzo ball soup mix.... and had none in stock whatsoever. Yes, you guessed it: It is this Ralph's. As a Los Angeles native, I have never seen a Ralph's that not only didn't have a prominent Passover foods display (sometimes more than one!), but also had a Kosher foods section so small that it consisted only of broth mix, and Kosher grape juice. You do NOT want to shop here, at least during the pandemic. They DO NOT enforce masks. So, if you want to catch COVID-19, then by all means, shop here. But seriously, don't. They can't enforce their own employees who are wearing masks without covering their noses, and I had to ask 3 employees to fix their mask, AND 2 customers who walked in WITHOUT A MASK AT ALL.... Off work at 1:15am and need Milk for the morning. This location states online they're open until 2am. I arrive to the store and some scruffy looking guy wearing oversized sweats who looks like he hasn't showered in a month shakes his head no at me through the window. I see a shopper in the store and hold up the number 2 with my hand to indicate the 2am closing time that's posted on the sign on the door! Scruff shakes his oily locks at me again and holds up the number 1. Ralph's, if you're going to change your hours of business, please update your signs on both entryways and update your hours online. **Management intentionally does not display prices on bulk items in the shopping aisles** This store has chosen to not display the price of toilet paper for several months. I asked an employee if the management planned on displaying prices and she said they would not. She told me I should bring the packages I wanted to price check (8 different 24 packs of toilet paper) to the cashier to learn the price. Covid has impacted many people's income and being able to compare prices on necessities is vital. This location gets WORSE every visit. Checkout lanes are rarely open you have to resort to SELF CHECKOUT and not only is it a nuisance because the machines freeze up on you and you have to wait for a worker to clear you. But the machines aren't serviced enough. The carts recently have been completely locking when you step out the store and there's 3-4 already blocking the entrance and exits because they're locked. You are stuck with all your groceries and no help unlocking the carts "just get another cart" is how they helped. On top of all this they are one of the more expensive grocery stores in the area. Decent place to shop. I can only speak to my experiences. Gets a bit crowded and the parking lot is somewhat of An annoyance to navigate. That isn't the fault of the business though. Another day, another bad experience at this Ralph's. Came in to grab a few things. It was busy. The self checkout line extended down the aisle and almost to the back of the store. I requested and paid for, 4 bags, but as I was scanning, the cue behind me was getting longer. Having just waited, I emphasized, scan and paid for my items quickly and put them in my cart unbagged. I used the register next to the attendant, Cathy R. Who reacted to me request for a bag as though I'd asked for money. I moved out the line and pushed my cart ahead so that I could bag them properly without holding the line. I noticed the Cathy person gave me 5 bags instead of 4, so I went to hand the extra one back. Why did this Cathy R. person leave the line they were supposed to be helping, and come over to accuse me of stealing by not scanning all of my items? Thought it was a joke, till they stood there waiting. I gave them (I don't know the individual's gender) the receipt, and continued bagging. They when though all my items and then after finding nothing told me it was suspicious that I pull ahead to bag my items rather than bag them 3 feet away at the register. I explained to them they I was standing directly beside them, (less than two feet) when I scanned and paid, and that I pulled fewer than 3 feet to the side. All in plan view. I also pointed out that I'd even given back the extra bag because I didn't pay for it. Apparently, none of this made a difference to Cathy R. Because they went on to berate me, and then pointed to other customers to say I should have done things like they had. All the while, the line behind them was growing, people were looking at me as though I'd been caught. I explained that I have never stolen anything in my life, then this Cathy R. says that I had an attitude, and that I needed to calm down. Mind you, I never once changed my facial expression, tone or body language. The entire incident was designed to embarrass and humiliate me. I was the on black person at the register, and no surprise they didn't pull another person or hassle anyone but me. Dear Cathy R. and management. You cannot and will not embarrass me, because I am well bred and was raised properly. You only debase yourself with this blatantly biased behavior. Specifically to Cathy R. You should stop and ask yourself why you're in your 40's and handing out bags at a register. You will find that you have nothing but yourself to blame for being miserable. Maybe do something fulfilling? Maybe find a job not designed for 16 year olds and then you wouldn't have to resort to customer harassment to feel better about yourself. read more

i wish i could give no stars. The night manager Jennifer was racist ,rude, and very unprofessional . i spent over $300.00 to be treated like trash. I have been shopping at Ralph's for years. I go to different locations but this location overland, and Jefferson in the culver center next to la fitness was just a horrible experience . The store was not well kept and seem old inside. I had no choice i had pick this location do to Easter shopping .The self check out was not working right i ask for help from a clerk and he left so i ask for help again and a manager came she already had attitude when i told her what was happening she talked me like she was mad and turned away from me and walked to some people that were behind me and helped them they didn't even ask she just left they were the same ethic background as her. i was shocked i could not believe she just left me then she came back to me and i told her no i will just get help from the cashier that came back he apologize for leaving. This store is all right for the most part but I absolutely hate their restrooms. Aside from needing a key code to get in, the bathrooms are dirty and badly maintained. One of the toilets was leaking so I mentioned it to a staff member but they just brushed it off and insisted that the restrooms are in good condition. read more

COVID BREAKOUT IMMINENT. Just like the other two stores (one on Weyburn), they are not practicing social distancing & an outbreak is almost certain. I know a certain number of people are allowed at a time but last week I was there & there was definitely not 6 feet in between people. Everyone was allowed in. No lines. It was VERY crowded. Employees were wearing masks incorrectly and/or taking them off to speak if you asked a question! People we all want this to end & we don't want our grocery clerks getting sick. This Ralph's location has been my home store for about 10 or so years. I've never had an issue except for a few rough handling by a cashier once in a while over the past couple of years but today I've had the worst first hand experience from their really rude, disrespectful and passive aggressive cashier named Kelly. She is the older blonde lady. I was out walking with my husband and I decided to stop by and check out Ralph's even though my husband reminded me that he didn't bring our grocery card. I said that's ok I just wanted to see what's inside and it's my first time getting in line just to get in. We got a basket and got a couple of things and got in line the the fast lane. And for sure it was as I know now, is Kelly the cashiers lane. A couple of people were ahead and as we were nearing the belt, I swallowed wrong and made a coughing sound. Immediately, my husband said, you really can't do that right now as people are paranoid. I looked up and sure enough the cashier was giving me the look.. I just smiled and took out my alcohol bottle spray and told my husband I'm spraying I'm spraying I can't help it. Maybe I was wrong for speaking in another language to my husband but when it was our turn at the cashier, all we got is attitude with matching fake laugh and fake smile. I couldn't figure out why we were the recipient of this cold attitude. And to top it off, I kept entering the wrong Ralph's ID card number. I know people get paranoid especially with what is going on with our country but we can't be disrespecting other people and act rudely especially if we work in customer service. I wish Kelly all the best in whatever is going on with her life that makes her feel the need to act the way she does. Rest assured that when she needs medical or surgical help, I will be the first in line to volunteer to take care of her and I will do so with compassion and respect for her as a human being. Offering a wide selection of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and meats and seafood, groceries to choose from. An added plus stop by the service deli for more delicious foods to choose from made even better by the friendly counter staff. I appreciate the fact that every time I visit the store there are always checkers at each check stand and the self checks are always available as well. At Ralphs Culver Center today I was waiting in line at the deli counter. An elderly gentleman came up and asked three staff if they could open the bathroom because it was locked (key code). He was very elderly and had trouble walking. All three staff refused to help him. One stated that the guy needed to go to the front desk. As I said he had trouble walking. What is wrong with people? I went to get him assistance and one of the deli staff finally responded. So sad to be older and ignored. Management please do some training in common courtesy and working with people who are elderly or disabled. read more

This place had outstanding staff! I was greeted pleasantly by every staff as soon as I stepped in. Although they have an excellent range of deli meat, their exceptional customer service is what really makes them stand out. I would especially like to thank Drew for going above and above to help me obtain products that I was unable to locate. Anna was also very helpful and made a big difference. It's comforting to see an organization that employs people who are so amiable and committed. The wide variety of supplements also contributes to the overall satisfying experience. The management at this Ralph's seriously need to consider reallocating the responsibilities of their cashiers. The cashiers are entirely rude, unhelpful, and bordering on hostile. Today while shopping, all lines were closed except for self-check out. While waiting in line, one of the employees rudely stated, "I need a fucking raise," and walked away from the post, leaving two employees, one named Angeleno. While struggling to place all items on the self-check out tray, I asked for assistance in checking out a bottle of wine. He stared blankly in my direction with an outstretched hand. I asked if he could help me. He said, "yes, I'm waiting for the transfer," I asked what that meant and he rolled his eyes and scanned the bottle. I understand it is a Monday and maybe the employees are in a bad mood. I have heard this location has rude staff but I decided to test it out for myself- the rumors are true! As someone who runs a catering company and is a frequent customer of Ralph's, I would certainly not return to this location due to the rude employees and unnecessarily inefficient checkout lines. read more

Nice Ralphs location by where my friend lives. Ive visited here a few times. We stopped in to get some food for a party and i was happy with the store. Really big with a deli area and produce the size of a million products. Store is big and tight security in the parking area. Great staff here when i needed help finding things. Great place and staff. Life long Ralph's customer. This store totally misses the mark. The manager Anthony is totally rude to customers. The cereal selection is super small the whole thing is incorrectly merchandised. Produce selection is a little off. This is a nice area, I want one of the higher tier Ralph's to fill this location and a new manager because this guy is really not up to Ralph's standards. The redeeming quality is the meat clearance sales. There is another shorter Latino guy who is also a manager with short hair he is very accommodating with guests, affable with employees and needs to be the GM.
