I now live in the Coachella Valley and rent my Carson home to family members. Over the past several years, whenever I visit, I always stock up with groceries from this Ralph's for family dinners, etc. This market is well stocked in every aisle with a large selection of name brands in every category. The produce is always fresh with extensive variety of vegetables and related items not found in other markets in the area. Yes, the aisles are a little tight. It's really not an issue with me since this market has it all and obviously up to being well stocked in our neighborhood to keep us shopping in our own backyard. I commend this Ralph's for not servicing our residents with sub par groceries typical in non-affluent areas. My experience with checkers find them to be cordial and efficient. They're focused on the task at hand where chit chat is optional. Well done to the entire workers at this Ralph's. This shopper will see you on my next visit to Carson. Appreciate you! read more

You should be able to CALL a store when it says it's open. I have an issue with the self- checkout. I forgot to get my receipt AND my $60 cash back! This never happens, but I think I was so distracted because the clerk who was supposed to be there supervising the checkout lane wasn't there. When I had a question about how to use the digital coupon -- NO ONE WAS THERE IN THE SELF CHECKOUT. I was looking all over, and then another worker had to yell at him to come down there. I feel like if he would've been there, he probably would have checked the register as we were leaving and reminded us to get our paperwork and cash now. Now I can't even get through. This is the second time I call this dang on store and they don't even answer the phone. The phone is still busy after 15 minutes of me trying to get through and it's 6:15. read more

Love this location. I stayed down the street at the Doubletree hotel and it was in walking distance, about 10 minutes. Came here on a Tuesday night around 930pm. There's a lot happening in this store. As soon as you walk in, its right in your face. There's the cashiers in the front of the store, produce on the right side, aisles in the middle, protein in the back wall, butchers in the back left corner, and bakery on the left wall. The building doesn't feel super big and everything feels on top of each other. You get two people in the aisle and it feels pretty small. That being said, everything felt in place. I didn't have to run around or find substitutions for what I wanted because things were well stocked. Cashiers weren't super chatty but they gave a head nod and acknowledged you and honestly that's a win. Food were pretty fresh. I got a few things to eat that same night and some the next day. Even the gummy worms I got weren't hard and stale. Parking lot is solid. Nice sized lot. Off a main street. Not well lit. So I would park closer when the sun sets. read more

Dropped in to see what kinds of deli sandwiches they had for lunch. Luckily an employee was marking down sandwiches that had a day left before expiring. Got 2 sandwiches and some pinwheels for 10.80! Store was clean but you could tell it was a bit shady as there were some mentally ill homeless people lingering outside and just the overall feeling I got. Good location with plenty of parking... I unfortunately got there in the early to mid morning when they were restocking the shelves. Literally every aisle was blocked to some extent with vendors putting up merchandise. I get it.. the work needs to get done but maybe not when the store is open? Or maybe just a few aisles at a time? Needed to drop in to pick up blue cheese crumbles (have been on a spinach, blue cheese salad kick lately). The store looks pretty small from the outside, but is a lot bigger than the outside signage shows. There is plenty of dedicated parking, and were able to use the self-checkout pretty quickly to be on our way. read more

Came this afternoon at Ralph in Carson pick up a frozen veggie and I spotted the 24 counts of Pepsi normally price is $15.99 and now is $9.99 so I decided to get one . When I was in my car I checked my receipt it was charged as regular price so I went back to the store and ask one of the cashier she checked the rock and she told me to go to the cashier to get refund . I politely talked to the cashiers which is Latina with a noise ring about the price she said did you see I have a big line here? Today, I went to the Deli to pick up some fried chicken. The warmer was empty but the gentleman behind the counter was boxing the chicken so that he could refill the warmer. I was thinking that I was lucky that I got fresh hot fried chicken. Drove home which is about 1-1/2 miles away. I was so disappointed when I got home. The fried chicken wasn't even hot, it's even warm. The skin wasn't even attached to the chicken pieces. Normally, I enjoy the fried chicken from Ralph's but not today. read more

Extremely rude employee, sassy attitude, she purposely locks the doors at 12:50am on July 25, 2024. I arrived well before the actual time of closure of this location and she refused to let me inside. I only needed one loaf of bread... because of her locking the doors shut after letting a customer leave she did not give me any chance of getting that much needed bread for my family meal. Don't advertise being open till 1 AM. That's considered false advertisement. And a waste of gas for people that try to make it there before actual closing time. The service at this store is terrible. Frequently there's pricing issues and the cashier cut me off when I was trying to explain and asked if I wanted the item or not. I asked the person at the front desk (not really sure of their purpose), if I could get 2 single dollar bills for my 8 quarters. Although she was dealing with money, she told me to just ask a cashier, they'll do it. There was only 2 cashier there. I asked one that walked away from her register to come bag for the other if she could do it, she told me, no, the other one could do it when she opened her drawer. She could have given that cashier a heads up of what I needed but she didn't. I was asking the cashier almost panicked because she never looked around and was about to start the next person in line. The nerve of a multibillion dollar company to charge 75 cents for cash back. For these reasons and more, I usually drive to the other side of town to Albertson's when Ralph's is less than a mile away. I would NOT get this treatment from my go to Ralph's on Carson St near Cherry ave, Mike has that place well ran and the people are very helpful, I just happened to stop here because I was heading home and it was just blocks away from where I was. The Ralph's pick up service is a joke. Every time I check in for pick up they never come out, it never fails. I have to go in and ask about my order and they eventually bring it out. On September 17, 2023, I stopped at my neighborhood Ralph's to prepare for the week. I purchased a seeded watermelon. I have purchased in the past and it was very sweet. On September 18, 2023, after coming home from work, I began to cut the watermelon. The watermelon was very spoiled causing all the juices to run down my drawers, cabinets, floor, pants and shoes. Please... note today I worked 12 hours and I commute to Rancho Cucamonga. I was really upset because I called the store and the representative said, "Sorry there is nothing we can do." I explained I have pictures. I was informed the supervisor was on lunch and would return my call within 39 minutes. I called the store several times after my call was not returned. It's much better here now. The workers here are much more polite and are now friendly. It's now the complete opposite of when I first came here and reviewed this grocery store. The workers are very kind, if you need help they are always happy to helove you and the cashiers always greet you with a smile and hello and always say thank you when you leave. Regardless of where you stand on the whole mask thing. I'd like to know why it is ok for me and my special needs son to enter your store (shopped there for 4 years now and haven't worn a mask this entire time) walk up and down all the isles, gathered food in our cart, all without a mask, but the checkout line is where I am refused service without a mask? I would think that if you are going to refuse service for safety sakes, you would do it at the door rather then allow me in to infect the entire place just to irritate the hell out of me at the end. Also, I witnessed at least 3 different employees with their masks pulled down around their chins. I chose to spend my money at your store because I had my special needs child with me, you have never required a mask of me prior to this so I figured this was a good place to go since I needed to get a few things and I have no alternative as to having my son with me (who cannot wear a mask). My son often gets very agitated when I wear a mask and once he is like that I can't get him out of that state, so when I am out with him, I do not wear a mask. Been coming here for over 20 years and its definitely gone downhill. The lanes are so damn narrow that its impossible to pass without bumping into oncoming shoppers (the lanes used to be much wider), the prices are higher than other chain markets, theres always some kid or kids selling crap outside the entrance, and it is just so crowded inside. I remember when it was spacious and less stressful inside. Go to Albertsons, Food 4 Less, or even Winco, its a way better shopping experience! read more

I just love this particular Ralph's store the staff is so friendly and helpful management is on the ball. When I come in at anytime where there it's seven in the morning or eight at night the store is well organized very clean as well as the restrooms. This is my local supermarket store. It's great! Always pretty stocked and clean. I just go and get whatever I need and get out of there no need to be going through every isle but if I want to check what else I can buy I do and always find everything I need. The fruit and veggie department is sometimes missing some stuff but you can always ask and they're always working on restocking. The staff is pretty friendly. A lady at checkout names Gricella is nice. She made my day! Thank you to all the workers here for working hard during the pandemic Non stop! You guys are awesome. Ignore the people here commenting that they refused service because of masks (during pandemic)- you know you were supposed to wear a mask to go into any store so whatever lady that review is non relevant.
