The fridges to the left of the counter house a range of house-made meals; the lentil salad with chopped tomato, parsley and softened bulgar wheat is a more filling version of tabouleh, and at just $6.50 has tided me over many a time. To snack on later in the day, the homemade muesli cookie is practically a meal unto itself, full of whole dried fig and apricot chunks plus sugary oats.
