I often eat lunch here or pick up food during such time. In this review I am considering several factors such as taste, variety, price, convenience, atmosphere, and service.
I am tired after a long day of work so I hope my main points aren't incomprehensible.
First of all... Taste. I mean everything that I have ordered with the exception of the cheap dollar burgers tastes great. It is delicious and leaves you wanting more late at night. Especially the damn fries. Holy hell those are good, but only while freshly cooked.
Secondly, variety is a huge plus here. You can get chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, fry burgers, baked potatoes, and even delicious 50 cent apple pies. The list goes on considerably longer than i am prepared to type.
Price.. Ok no such thing as a free meal but rallys is pretty close. You have your value menu like most places, but then you have your 2 for $3 and 2 for $4 which include alot of great burgers and sandwiches at reasonable prices. The drinks are hella overpriced just go to kroger and buy a 12-pack and thank me later
Convenience: it is located dead smack next to hwy 80 and it has 2 drivethrus. So really I am only putting this for the residents of the area, but if you are passing through it is definitely something to consider if you are in a hurry or simply want a hassle free meal. They also provide an outdoor eating area which I will talk about next.
Atmosphere. Okay so this place is basically a shed in a parking lot with fancy chrome and black and white checker tiling designs. Rally's loses points here because it is next to hwy 80. It is also next to several high traffic parking lots which often have insane drivers. It is outdoors so be prepared to freeze, sweat, or get wet. They at least have umbrella awning type things set up... So there is that. I would recommend just getting your food and going.
Lastly, service... Okay well I'll be honest. Like most places you have your good and bad aspects. The order is taken and usually repeated back to you before you pull up, and they let you know the total before you reach there as you would expect. The wait is usually not bad depending on the size and complexity of your order. They have a tendency in my experience to write down your order and then somehow forget several sandwiches... So check your receipt and count your bagged items BEFORE you leave the drive thru. I literally went there yesterday for my family and somehow i am unsure how, but they forgot five (5) sandwiches, that i must also point out i never ordered but paid for anyway after they decided i needed 5 more. I only kept it because i figured i could give the extras to my friends. Now, before I get too emotional over a hamburger I must point out that when confronted they fixed my order with all haste and even gave me some complimentary items.
All in all go for the food but remember this is just a quick place to grab a burger, not a walk-in. You will get your money's worth, and have much to choose from, but do not expect service to be flawless, just be calm and check your order and get yo munchies on. read more
