Today we stopped in at Raley's to have lunch and get some coffee. And I must say Clara was amazing she listened to what I wanted and recommended the honey almond matcha latte it was absolutely delicious her personality was amazing very welcoming. We have our clients with us that are special needs and she was just above and beyond wonderful I will for sure always stop in when I'm out this way

We find the Raley's in Loomis an ideal break point when we travel to Tahoe from the Bay Area. Often we take advantage of their nice deli area for lunch, and the in-store Peet's is perfect if you need an energy boost for the last leg. Naturally an abundant choice of snacks, and we can buy breakfast items for the next few days. Good bathrooms too. Wish we had a store like this in the East Bay: huge, wide aisles, amazing selection, decent prices. Oh well.

This isn't our preferred TJ's as it's the furthest among the three Roseville locations. We go here while doing errands in the area or after watching a movie at SMG. They have the staples of a Trader Joe's. Pleasant staff, affordable store branded (mostly) food, flowers & plants and even skin care products. They switch items seasonally but they always have the trusted kitchen essentials that people keep coming back for. Mine are the whole coffee beans, milk, brioche bread and the occasional sweet treats like the dark chocolate ganache. Let's not forget to mention the social media driven viral phenomena like those tote bags and various food hacks. Honestly, they don't have to run any ad campaigns anymore. The popularity arc just keeps going up. That iconic Fearless Flyer guide (printed and digital) is an offbeat publication of recipes and visual images which is more comic book catalog showcasing new items versus weekly sales ads. When I have the time, I wander the crowded aisles hoping to discover something new and interesting.

Then one opened on Masonic Avenue near Geary Blvd in San Francisco and it too was a hit, except the parking lot was a nightmare, sometimes with cars lined up down the block waiting to get in. The store was small and the product offered very limited. There was no possible way to do all your shopping needs there. Now going to a store like this one is a remarkable difference. Plenty of parking and plenty of product, still all interesting, unique ane broad based. I like to just peruse the aisles and look over the offerings. There's always something good to discover. As an example the cheese selection is quite good and the pricing lower than many other places. You're not going to find the very top quality but sure good enough. The wine and even flowers are good choices here too. Service is always friendly and helpful. It's a good store! Go and discover something new and different.

Once inside, there's a little bit of everything: groceries, household essentials, clothing, electronics, and plenty of things you didn't know you needed until they ended up in your cart, lol! I was mostly there for my usual purchases: salmon and tuna. The generous cuts always catch my eye, and the tuna steaks have that gorgeous, rich ruby-red color. They are ginormous! The salmon tastes fresh and is absolutely delicious when prepared just right, and not do I have a family who love to eat salmon! These are two items I always look forward to bringing home! As we walked around, we came across quite a few sample stations throughout the store. My favorite today was the Dubliner cheese: aged, flavorful, and slightly sweet. The woman handing out samples was in a wonderful mood and fun to chat with, which made the stop even better. Around the corner, we tried an orange chicken sample with a little kick. The flavor was tasty, but the texture was too soggy for me, so that was an easy pass. Self-checkout was a little awkward. There wasn't a handheld scanner available, so scanning the pumpkin pie (huge for only $5.99) I picked up for my client meant tipping it at an angle that felt almost upside down! Everything also had to go onto the scale beside the scanner after being scanned. Another shopper started putting her bananas on my side, so apparently I wasn't the only one a little confused by the setup. After checking out, we stopped at the food court. There were several options I hadn't tried before, and quite a few caught my attention. The sundaes looked badass, the chicken bake looked yummers, and the turkey melt looked like it could hit the spot. Of course, you can't go wrong with a hot dog. Who doesn't love a big, juicy one? LOL! I ordered a chicken bake and a turkey melt, while my friend got the hot dog. No, I didn't eat both by myself! I just wanted some variety! The chicken bake was pretty awesome, with chunks of white-meat chicken and a creamy white sauce baked inside of bread. I shared both items with my friend, who had never tried either one. She gave the chicken bake a 10/10! I'm a dipper, so I would've loved something to dip it into, but it still earned a solid 9/10 from me. The turkey melt was thick, filling, and pretty tasty, too. And for my drink, can you guess what I chose? Agua!!!! Even after this visit, I'm still more partial to Sam's Club. It's probably because I'm more used to how they operate, but they seem to make shopping more convenient for the customer. For example, I can purchase a drink cup right at the register there. Here, I can buy the cup at the register, but then I have to stand in another line to actually get the cup. it's inconvenient when there are quite a few people in line waiting for their items. Plus, Sams Club self checkout has scanner guns and an awesome scanner as your walk out of the store making checking out with an associate fast! On our way out, Mark checked our receipt. I really enjoyed his sense of humor--it was a fun way to wrap up our Costco trip!

Alright, time for an update!…read more Costco still remains a daunting, unfriendly and very troubling place for me. It's American mass consumerism at its prime and worst. I need to go when the fewest people are there, otherwise it feels like a horror movie... all those people running around with multiple carts overfilled with stuff, some actually frantic. Besides who really needs six jars of super sized mayonnaise unless you have a family of twelve or more? However, there are some redeeming factors to shopping here, and possibly getting a good deal. This still remains the ONLY Costco in the area I'll visit for otherwise being run over by a crazed shopper with a full pallet of merchandise. So. Some great finds- We got two new good quality camping chairs for the outdoor concerts we attend at a rock bottom price! Woo hoo! Then I found a large container, yet still manageable, of my favorite snack treat, Aussie Bites, at a great price. Please don't buy them out!!! The maple syrup is good quality and less expensive than anywhere. The paper goods can also be a very good deal. Just have a big storage space for a gazillion rolls of toilet paper. They were unfortunately out, or no longer carrying, two other favorites, the top sirloin hamburgers and the Korean dumplings (an easy and quick, delicious treat). I recommend perusing the aisles as one never knows what really interesting product or bargain is lurking in the depths of this monster store. Oh, and if you want a ginormous TV that will never fit anywhere or a casket, just in case, they have those too. Plus, it's fun to count how many giant SUVs are parked in compact parking spaces to be as close to the front door as possible! After all, there's enough walking inside! You do need a membership to enter.

The shop is set up in an interesting way where you enter through the produce section and snake around to the main shopping area. I thought this was cool at first but realized the way they have it set up to get back to produce you either have to go past the cash registers (which I think they don't want) or loop back around to get up front again. I typically like picking up produce last so it's on the top of my cart/basket so I ended up heading back that way at the end. The rest of the shopping visit was pretty typical and I loved the selection of items they had. I ended up picking up some cheeses, yogurt, noodles, and grapes during this visit. The prepared section did look nice, and if I hadn't already eaten lunch I would have grabbed something here. The staff member who helped me was friendly too.

Trader Joe's is always such a fun place to shop because they carry so many unique foods that you…read moredon't typically find at a regular grocery store. I can go in for one or two things and somehow leave with a cart full of new items to try! Two of my favorite finds are in the refrigerated section. The fully cooked pork belly is incredibly convenient and can be crisped up in a pan, added to rice bowls, tacos, ramen, or even eaten with eggs for breakfast. It has a rich, savory flavor and makes it easy to put together a delicious meal without spending hours cooking. The lemon-rosemary spatchcocked chicken is another favorite of mine... especially cooked on the grill! It is already seasoned and ready to cook, making it perfect for a simple but flavorful dinner. Grilling it gives the outside a delicious char while keeping the chicken tender and juicy. The lemon adds a fresh flavor, while the rosemary provides the perfect savory touch. Since the chicken is already spatchcocked, it cooks more evenly and is so easy to prepare. Trader Joe's also has an amazing assortment of frozen meals, appetizers, sauces, cheeses, snacks, and seasonal products. There always seems to be something new on the shelves, and some of the limited-edition items are so good that you wish they would keep them all year! It is a great place to find convenient meals while also picking up fun ingredients that encourage you to try something different. And, of course, I can't forget the candy and sweets! Their dark chocolate peanut butter cups are dangerously good, and they have everything from gummies and chocolate-covered treats to nostalgic candies with a Trader Joe's twist. The candy section is one of those areas where an extra item...or three, lol, always seems to find its way into my cart. Customer service is another reason I enjoy shopping here. The employees are usually friendly, upbeat, and willing to help locate an item or offer recommendations. Even when the store is busy, the checkout lines move quickly, and the cashiers still take the time to make pleasant conversation. I like that they talk casually between employees and customers all while keeping a smile on their face... it makes for a fun atmosphere. Trader Joe's may not carry every traditional grocery store item, but that is part of its charm. I come here for the interesting selections, convenient meals, seasonal surprises, tasty sweets, and welcoming service. There is always something new to discover!

It was my first time stopping at this location and the store orientation was a little different than some others I've visited. Some of my Trader Joe's staples are the string cheese, white corn, salted sunflower seeds, Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta, and couscous. Of course I picked up a bunch of other items, including some candles, room spray, treats for my dog, and some impulse candy buys (mango and passion fruit chocolate cups- YES PLEASE!). I had a great experience shopping during this less busy time, and the staff was super friendly. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely make a point to stop in!
