Mostly the same menu, though I don't remember egg rolls and bourbon chicken and was tempted by them. I went with a Sumburger, subbed onion rings for a surcharge. Good burger, nothing amazing, but nostalgic, meaty, decent bun and toppings, and I like their sauce. Sweetie got a junior burger and liked it. Kid K got mac and fries. Looks like pretty standard boxed mac but she said it tasted much better. Big serving, and plenty of crinkle-cut fries. She liked them, and the strawberry pie she craved (only available in-season.) Made to order so we waited about 10 minutes. Seemed expensive but what isn't nowadays? Great service at the counter, and at the pickup window when I got the food plus when I went up for boxes for leftovers. Easy parking. A drive-through that was busy when we were there at 6 on a Friday. A local icon and a favorite stop.

We happened to find ourselves in town last week and decided to try it. It's in a new location than before. We found it to be very clean and relatively new. Very tasty.

I got it as a sampler platter, they give you a bigger portion of the meat of your choice. From what they said this location has been there around 5 years but they also do fairs. There's plenty of parking nearby, and while the area is a little run-down, it's in a good aging-post-industrial-town kind of way with lots of old brick and Second-Empire style architecture. The inside isn't fancy but it's clean and offers good people-watching of the people passing into and out of the park. They had music and a couple of TVs, one showing the news and one on some kind of Spotify rotation. They have all-day breakfast sandwiches which you can get in a croissant and they really butter it up and it's delicious as hell. They also make a solid turkey club, and they don't skimp on the bacon, and they use real mayo. I'm talking about that heavy mayo. That's what holds the freshly shredded lettuce in there. The glue of the sammich. The guy running the place is very friendly and accommodating. I did not ask his name because I knew that I would likely never see him again and I couldn't risk getting attached but he insisted on cleaning the table before we sat down even though it looked totally clean, and he checked in and made sure we were happy with everything, which we were. Now I hunger for it once again.

He got the Brisket and quarter chicken $26 with skillet green beans and smoke house spuds with $2.50 up charge for cheese and bacon. Overall everything was good. The pork ribeyes were cooked perfectly but the sweet bourbon glazed wasn't much more than a teriyaki sauce and very salty. They were out of the quarter chicken so they substituted it with 2 wings which I didn't think was an even trade. The smoke house spuds were good but the bacon was chewy. The ambience was nice, the waiter was very friendly and attentive. Even though for the most part the food was good I don't think it justified the prices.
