When I walk in to buy a coffee and bring my own mug, I don't want an argument about whether my mug is a 16 oz or a 20 oz, and I definitely don't want some snot nosed punk picking my mug up without asking to swing it all over looking for the size. So now I have to wipe down my mug for germs. And then he had the nerve to ask if I wanted to leave him a tip. Plus the coffee is crap and the muffin was under baked and tasted like paste. I hoped after two years it would have improved there but nope, same old crap. Never again. Yes, please. I'll have a cup. And another. And maybe one more, to go. I was happy to have stumbled upon this place, while visiting Sequim. It's fairly hidden because it's not off the main drag but that shouldn't stop you from venturing inside. The artwork throughout is gorgeous and I local artist, I believe. This place is good. Randomly went here on our trip and wish we stayed in sequim than port Angeles.

Although the servers there are generally nice, their coffee sucks and their prices are way too expensive. A couple of days ago, I forgot my mask, so I inquired from the door, without going in, if they had any. They didn't, so I moved on. But it bothered me how snarky they were about it. One of the servers even came outside and lectured me about mask etiquette. I work in retail myself, I ALWAYS wear my mask, I did NOT go in. So why the attitude?? I went back today (masked) and asked to speak with the manager. I waited around for a bit, then was told (none too nicely) that the manager, was "too busy" to listen to my complaint. Strike two. So I said, "ok, if the manager is too busy to listen to a complaint, I'll complain to Yelp." Outside, a server came running down the sidewalk after me, begging me to please not write. I ventured into the cafe today for the first time in the year that we have lived here. I have to say that I'm sorry that it took this long for me to discover this restaurant. I had the Reuben panini, it was perhaps the best lunch that I've had in Sequim during the past year. The service was friendly and efficient. I take notice when places like this are busy which it was. Anybody who tries to push the processing fee on a customer is a crook. Businesses pay fees for using credit, not customers. It's just kind of sad that for two dollar coffee they expect you to pay their fee for processing. By law it's actually illegal to charge someone YOUR fee in many states. Even though it is not illegal here in Washington, it still shows poor business ethics. Much easier to go elsewhere that isn't too cheap to pay the fees associated with running a business. This cafe is so cute! Wooden tables, friendly atmosphere, and a wide variety of drink and food options. Super vegan friendly!! We had the Veggie Curried cauliflower hummus flatbread. From the picture it just looks like a beautiful heap of vegetables but it's actually delicious, well spiced, and has multiple layers of flavors! 10/10. I also had their big sea salt vegan chocolate chip cookie and that was also delicious! They have multiple non dairy milk options too (including hemp milk, despite what another reviewer said!!) :) The people who work here were sweet and friendly and fun to talk to while ordering. Being new in town, one of my top priorities was to find the best place to slake my nearly insatiable morning habit. This is it. I tried all the others (except Starbucks) and none of them checked all the boxes except for Rainshadow. Excellent coffee that they roast and sell in a nice variety of blends. They'll even grind it the way you want it. Surprisingly good food, not just pastries. The place has a simple, relaxed vibe that comes with simply being a coffee shop/cafe as opposed to trying too hard to look the part (If you care more about the dress than the girl, head over to Hurricane Coffee Company.) Excellent seating inside and out whether you're in a group or flying solo. Great staff that is authentically pleasant. And as a big bonus, no drive-through window to compete with. Coffee okay, baked goods okay, prices are a little steep, but were they have lost me is customer service. Today, the staff didn't even greet me, smile (yes, you can see it with a mask). Absolutely love this place friendly staff great food and drinks. My only complaint are the awful paper straws. They breakdown mid drink and make it taste like cardboard. Please bring back plastic straws. I know we're all environmentally Conscious but you're already using plastic cups. Don't ruin the integrity of your delicious coffee with these dreaded straws. Holy cannoli! The paninis there are AMAZING. The ham panini being my favorite. I've had brunch there a few times which includes mimosas. I do not recommend the alcohol especially for the price. Yum! I got the Sequim Fog (iced) with oat milk. It was delicious. We also got a white chocolate lavender mocha but wished we got dark chocolate. The decor is hippie-esque and artsy. The lemon lavender scone was pretty good too. I would come here again. read more
