Price, quality and quantity when I went over a year ago. Will return soon hopefully it will be as I remember. Cozy little spot.

Sushi is fresh and tasty. Our cooked chicken dish was over cooked and dry. Was told to pick up at 6pm. Still waiting at 6:30 because they hadn't started the cooked dish. Failure...... whatever time they tell you to pick up, add 30 minutes so as not be frustrated. I'll keep searching for the elusive 5 star sushi house outside of Tokyo. read more

We heard about this place through my husbands co worker. Let me tell you!!! It did not disappoint! We started off with spring rolls. Small but very good! We both got hibachi rice. Hubby got steak and I got shrimp. Great portion and great prices! We ordered a side of hibachi noodles. GUYSSS these noodles were some of the best that we've ever tried! Not exaggerating! Anyways, I kept eyeing their macha green tea crepe. I got one and it was a great way to end our delicious dinner. (If you've never had matcha maybe hold off on that. It has a strong taste.) Great food. Great prices. Great service. We'll definitely be back!!! read more

Such an unassuming place with amazing food. I read the great reviews here and almost thought I had the wrong place when I walked on. It was quickly obvious that people love the food with the constant flow of take out business. The sushi was fantastic and glad the waitress recommended the one with mango. read more

I was hoping for better food and been wanting to try for a while. The chicken hibachi was over cooked but some where ok to eat, shrimp was not deveined, the rice had lot of over cooked very hard some pieces throughout and salad was hard to eat and not cut small enough and could not cut in the small bowl. read more

Absolutely love this place! Rainbow is my all time favorite restraunt. Great food, great service, couldn't recommend more.

Usually, I'd give Rainbow 5 stars, but I was not too pleased with my last experience. I ordered the chicken and steak lunch hibachi. I got an insane amount of rice, and I wish I had gotten some more vegetables instead. I think that there should be a more even ratio of rice and vegetables. The whole meal including the yum yum sauce was too spicy for my taste, something I wasn't expecting at all. It came with soup and salad which were both great. I also think the prices are very fair. I just wish it wasn't spicy. read more

Looking for delicious and cheap spot for lunch? Or maybe you're craving sushi for dinner or a hibachi style plate without all the fluff? This place is the place to go! My sister and I stopped in after our early morning work shift for some well needed lunch. We had driven by this place a number of times and always wanted to stop in so today was the day we were to give this place a try. They did not disappoint. We ordered two hibachi style lunch boxes which comes with friend rice, your choice of protein, veggies, and noodles. The portions were generous and the quality and taste of the food was on point. For lunch the box came to about $10-$12 depending on what protein choice you went with. The service was great. The girl who took care of us was so sweet and very attentive. There was another table eating during the time we were there and we noticed that they were giving the girl a difficult time. She kept up her positive demeanor throughout their stay. I'm excited to return and try out some of their other menu items. read more

This place is an absolute gem. We were looking for options to dine in for lunch. The first 2-3 places we drove to were closed around 2 PM. Thankfully we stumbled upon Rainbow. They have a pretty well laid out menu with some very interesting options for drinks and desserts. We ordered spring rolls, veggie gyoza, a mango slushie, vegetable tempura and the cheesecake for dessert. Not one thing disappointed! Everything was just perfect!! Their homemade salad dressing is something you should try. To top it all, was the welcoming and attentive customer service. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. Highly recommended! read more

I am so glad this place opened. They have amazing drinks and food for a reasonable price. Their hibachi dinner portion are quite big as well. I totally love the green tea slush with red bean. It's my favorite! Now I only wish they sell bubble tea as well. Their mango Millie crepe cake is to die for. They just open for about a week. YUMMM read more

This place was delicious. Waitress was wonderful. Shrimp and scallops hibachi lunch was fresh and filling. Left with leftovers for a yummy lunch for the next day. The banana crepe out of this world and so was the green tea matcha crepe cake. Loved the fried rice too. All in all it was a great experience. Will definitely go back. read more

Small, quaint new little addition to Ventnor. Ate there tonight and the food was amazing. Nice size portions. ING was super friendly and nice. We had hibachi dinners- shrimp and filet. Flavors were good. Steak was tender. Portions are big. Rock shrimp was good but on the sweeter not spicy side. Oh and we got the crepe dessert with fruit and Nutella filling and mango pancakes. Overall happy we chose to eat here tonight because we just found our new favorite place on island! read more

Rainbow - We ate some before taking the picture because we couldn't wait. Shrimp dinner In the middle was rock shrimp - Japanese Near Me - Ventnor City, New Jersey

Food was good and the staff was nice. Our only negative thing was a $2.50 up charge for fried rice. Which is normal however the rice had no flavor to it, no veggies, or meat. It was just flavorless yellow rice. Which is not what we expect when ordering fried rice. We enjoyed their sushi, gyoza, and general tso chicken. read more

This was the best meal I've had all summer! Well... one of the best. Rainbow is a new eatery in Ventnor NJ. My husband and I both had a hibachi meal!! Soup, salad, spring rolls and our main course. Very delicious at a very reasonable price. The menu has many offerings including homemade desserts!! It is the special attention to detail(house made sauces) that won me over. Please give it a try! You are going to love it!! Ask for Ing. She is a brillian star at Rainbow!! read more

Service was pretty slow. I understand it was a Friday night and it was a little busy, but no one even brought our table any water until 15 minutes after we sat down. Once we ordered the appetizers and food did come pretty quickly...but the issue was when we got our order of the 'Sushi & Sashimi for Two'. Some of the sashimi was clearly still frozen and rubbery and the white tuna sashimi was yellow. I did not want to risk eating it, but my boyfriend took a bite out of it just to see if maybe it was the lighting of the restaurant that it looked that way, but NOPE it was not fresh. We told the server and she checked with the sushi chef and told us that the chef had told her the fish was brought in earlier today (probably a lie). After my boyfriend and I were almost done our meal, my other friend that was with us still did not get her food. She noticed other people that got seated after us getting their food before hers. She saw the waitress in the back pacing/looking panicked and looking over at our table. CLEARLY they forgot my friend's order. We will not be returning to this restaurant and I hope my boyfriend does not leave with a parting "gift" of food poisoning. read more

Wow. Who would think that anywhere within 20 miles there would be a very good place to enjoy Japanese Cuisine. I gotta be real here. The food was very good. The Rolls, probably could have been more generous in the size of the roll, and the Eel Skin Roll was not put together well, but the flavors were super, the fish was fresh and tender. The Miso Soup was very flavorful. I just wish the bowl of soup was more substantial. The Springrolls were fantastic. Fresh, fried, and wow. The problem I keep coming back to is the Spring rolls come 4 to the order, but the rolls are SOOOO Small. Enough for 1 person. The service was good. Definitely a good Shore place to pick up some decent eats. (anything fried I would not get as a take out as by the time they would be eaten, the Rolls will be soggy) But, Dining In!! Yes! read more
