I have eaten here many times and it's always very good! I used to get General Tso's chicken here but lately I've been getting the sushi because it's really good! I normally don't like Philly rolls because they tend to have too much cream cheese, but they put the perfect amount. The crab rangoon is also SO good; it's called "angry" on the menu but I don't think it's spicy at all which is perfect for me! The service is fair & the workers are very nice. Sometimes a little short with me on the phone but I don't mind. Inside, there are several tables and it has a lot of cute decorations. Three came In for lunch, and three left happy, stopped in with my daughter and granddaughter. I had the Szechuan Delight lunch special pork, beef and baby shrimp sauteed in a hot Szechuan sauce, I also ordered an egg roll which was nice and crisp without being oily. My darling daughter had some assorted sushi rolls, and the little one had chicken nuggets. The place was extremely quiet at lunch, and we enjoyed our meal. read more

A recent visit to this restaurant did not meet our expectations based on previous visits. The service was attentive; probably helped by the fact that there were very few others diners on a Saturday night at 6:30. In summary, and most disappointing, my Spicy Coconut Curry Chicken was neither spicy nor noticeably spiced with coconut or curry. Bland. My wife's Beef Noodles was reported to be satisfactory. Save your money & DO NOT GO HERE!!! Everything we got was horrible horrible horrible!! The scallion pancakes were SCARY, no flavor, no sauce, just refried dead bread. The side salad was WILTED. The "Pad Thai" was just wet rice noodles , never even cooked in a wok, the sauce was DIY and we had to mix it on ourselves ?! the vegetable delight was also scary; the sauce was like creamy glue. Not our favorite spot for Chinese / Japanese food. We ordered last night after our favorite ocean view spot was closed . We ordered two classic Chinese food standards hot and sour soup which was not good lacked flavor and was very dark appearing. Overall strange flavor profiles. We also ordered the white meat general Tso's this was chicken that was fried with a lot of other flavors namely fish flavors which gave this dish a terrible flavor. The sauce was also not spicy and flavorless despite having 10 dried chili's in the sauce. We also ordered a scallion pancake these were definitely made ahead and then re-fried since the sides of the triangles were browned and not slice after cooking. All in all not returning . I ordered three different combos. General Tsao, sesame chicken and chicken and broccoli. If I closed my eye to eat these I wouldn't be able to tell which one I was eating. They have no flavor. I've been to this place quite a few times. The last two times have been very disappointing. This last visit I got a beef and broccoli and I'll never come again. I'd save your money if I was you. The beef had to be old, very tough and tasted old. Sauce was like glue and I know for a fact the white rice was old maybe even 2-3 days old. Not a great option for those with any food allergies or sensitivities. My family ordered takeout here and I struggled to find anything as a gluten-free vegan. When I called to ask about whether or not a few dishes could be made gluten-free, they told me in a very flat matter that they don't do gluten-free at all, unless you want something just steamed with no sauce. I ended up with a steamed vegetarian "delight" which was so bland I wished I had just ordered from somewhere else. I took a risk on a cucumber roll which was equally disappointing. I asked for a cucumber avocado roll, too which is not on the menu, but they made it and that was slightly better, but overall, not worth the trouble. Might be good if you don't have dietary restrictions - my family seemed to enjoy it, but if you do have restrictions, just skip it. read more

The first time my fiancé and I went to this place was an okay experience. The second time we went the power went out and the owner ended up giving us a percentage off the bill even though we were practically done our meal. However the third (and final) time we were here we just wanted to get a couple rolls real quick. After we paid the bill and we're getting ready to leave the waiter comes over and asks "was everything okay?" To which my fiancé responded "yes thank you" then the waiter has the nerve to say "then why did you only tip me this much money?" I'm usually a very easy person when it comes to food and not much will prevent me from not returning to a restaurant but when a waiter asks why they weren't tipped more is definitely a reason. read more

The food is your regular run of the mill Chinese food. We ordered spring rolls, steamed dumplings, Penang chicken, lo mein and chicken satay. The lo mein and the dumplings were good. The chicken for the chicken satay was a little rubbery. And they also forgot our spring rolls. When I asked for credit back, they said they were unable to do that due to credit card company policies... which just isn't true. We finally just had to drive all the way back in order to pick up the spring rolls. They did give us a double order which was nice. read more

I consider this review a public service announcement since poorly handled sushi can actually harm people and the fish they served us on our visit last night was just this side of being edible. We ordered the Sushi for Two and an additional Spicy Salmon hand roll, plus a couple of appetizers. The Sushi for Two "platter" was presented to us on what looked like an old cafeteria tray. The sushi pieces seemed sloppily made. That all could have been forgiven had the sushi itself tasted okay - but it did not. In fact everything had a stomach-turning fishy taste to it - which any sushi lover knows is a huge no-no. We ended up eating only about a third of it (trying to find something that tasted ok), and declined to have the remainder packed up to take home. A third of what was on the tray (which we ate none of, and seemed like a lot of filler for something the restaurant is charging almost $40 for) consisted of large pieces of "egg" sushi, something else known as "sea legs" which is a actually a cheap amalgamation of seafood, and also some sort of flat brown stuff we've never seen in nearly 40 years of enjoying sushi (elsewhere). Could the terrible taste of the fish have been that it was stored somewhere with spoiled fish? Because even the shrimp sushi - which is always the least likely thing to have any kind of disgusting on-the-verge-of-spoiled fishy flavor, tasted quite fishy. The salmon in the Spicy Salmon hand roll was also fishy and wasn't at all spicy and had no "crunchy," as ordered. We've had good meals here in the past, so our conclusion - after spending nearly $100 on dinner here last night - is that is place has gone way downhill. The esteemed Mandarin Group chain, which this restaurant is a part of, should really considered whether it wants to allow this location to continue to sully its reputation. We will never be back to any of its locations! read more

This was easily the worst Chinese food I've ever paid for. I totally get there's a pandemic but that is no excuse to totally inconvenience and and be rude to your customers. I just spent 10 minutes waiting in the rain on a order I placed and hour ahead of time. They need a better process. Tell your customers you will call them when their food is ready. No say stand here until we call your phone number. They should be thankful we are spending our hard earned money at their business. They should be doing everything under the sun to show their appreciation.....The restaurant next door has a nice canopy for their customers to use. Now on to the food! There was no chop sticks or soy sauce in our bag. The food had very little flavor. The chicken appeared to be boiled and had no flavor whatsoever. The chicken fried rice tasted like white rice with veggies in it. My pad tai tasted like noodles in water. The beef and broccoli was average! There's much better options in town. Had a nice dinner here the other night. The restaurant was pretty busy for a weeknight. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. I ordered the vegetarian sushi combo. It was different then what I'm used to, but good. It came with a choice of ginger salad or miso soup. I got the salad and appreciated the fresh ginger dressing. Every single time I come here, I ALWAYS have a fantastic experience. From the Host, to the waiters, to the spectacular food and of course over all setting (little birds made out of oranges included!!) My son and I go bananas over the "Spicy Girl" sushi roll and the rest of my family absolutely adore the fresh sushi, especially the Green Dragon roll (eel topped with avocado and tobiko), Soft Shell Crab roll, and their ultimate favorite, the Godzilla roll.....Spicy tuna rolled with shrimp tempura..Need I say more!!! A sushi craving at the Jersey shore led us to Tokyo Mandarin. I can only speak to the Japanese options on the menu. The menu is pretty basic nothing adventurous or unique. We sampled the seaweed salad, spicy tuna, philly roll, godzilla roll, tuna sashimi and sea scallop sashimi. Overall the meal was typical, nothing amazing nothing awful...Everything was fresh and compared to the area competition its great, but doesn't measure up to other sushi experiences I've had.
