I started ordering from sushi town during the Covid lockdown, seeing as they were one of the three places that offered contactless take out, payment and pickup. They have cultural decor inside, but from my experience, they are primarily a take out restaurant now. The cashiers are always nice and their prices are hard to beat. Serving sizes are great, the sushi is both fresh and delicious. Their menu is insanely large, and they offer more than sushi/sashimi. They have dinner plates, bento boxes, steak plates, etc. I love sushi town, they have never messed up an order, and I am happy to tip extra for their above and beyond service. Definitely try them out!

Would of been 4 stars but give you wrong change if you pay cash. Watch them‼! Been going there since I was 18. I'll stick to Mt Fuji in absecon now.. lost a customer due to greediness..

Really good inexpensive sushi mainly for take out! They have nice specials and somehow I always spend enough to get a discount! They are very friendly and kind and really work hard to make their customers happy. I've been going for years right after gym sessions down the street and I've always loved it. Their shrimp is really fresh and they make delicious shumai.

This won't be a long review as I can sum up my experience in just a couple words: good customer service, good selection of sushi, and their prices are very reasonable. I'm on travel but have found a quick, easy, and delicious sushi place I'll return to every trip!

I've been craving sushi for roughly four months and I was very glad to see a few spots opened nearby since the Covid-19 outbreak shut many of the local restaurants down. Looks are deceiving, in which this is a perfect example, as the business is located in a strip mall & it's easy to overlook a place, especially when it comes to location. I was a bit optimistic at first, but ended up ordering almost a dozen sushi rolls since my family and I were hungry. For a last minute order, I was very pleased to see such a wonderful presentation & the quality itself was not bad at all. I also have to add that the pricing CAN NOT be beat, which the majority of rolls here cost roughly between $5.00-$9.00 which if you're a sushi connoisseur, you know how quickly the expenses can rack up. All of this food was under $100.00 & that's incredible. All in all, I would highly recommend this establishment to those looking to grab a quick bite at a very modest price.

I've been to several Japanese sushi and seafood buffets before and can say without a doubt, this was the worst. Sushi rolls were mediocre, like supermarket sushi rolls on discount day. I was expecting more. This was the only item that was passable. The Chinese side of it was terrible. Cold seafood, when it's supposed to be hot. Duck that was cold and bony/fat and should have been warm and better tasting. The spare ribs were dry, like hours on the line and everyone avoided it. Soups were bland, and warm. The hot and sour was the worst one I tasted in the last 30 years. No oysters. No crab legs. Desserts were pretty much all frozen and nondescript. I had the chocolate cupmice cream and it was ok. On a positive note, the service was good, as they cleaned off old plates, and refilled drinks when asked. So, bottom line. One star for the food.

The restaurant is quite large with 8 hibachi tables (wowzers!), plus lots of regular dining tables and even traditional dining pods (i'll call them). We came in crew deep with 15 people! *sheeeesh* Naturally we took up 2 hibachi tables. The staff was really great and patient with our large group, which included 5 children under the age of 5. Hubs and I shared a sushi roll, which I was reluctant to try after my last couple experiences, but like I said, ReDeMpTiOn! We got the Atlantic City Roll and it was delicious! Everyone got a variety of hibachi options. Personally, I went with the steak and chicken. The chicken was a little overcooked, but that's ok (better than undercooked!). The kids loved the fire and their never ending large portions of yummy food. The restaurant was kind enough to give all the kids ice cream on the house in exchange for our group participating in some promotional video. Now that's service! I'm ready to truly give the sushi another go ahead in the near future...stay tuned for another update!

Visited Sakura Japanese Steak, Seafood... while in Atlantic City for my daughter's birthday…read more I ordered the chicken and filet mignon hibachi combo. The food itself was cooked well, but the experience just didn't hit the way hibachi usually does. The chef was kind of flat, no real energy or entertainment, which honestly is half the fun when you go for hibachi. No swallowing sake, no catching veggies in our mouths... it just felt very toned down. My kids were also visibly unimpressed, which says a lot. Food wise, I was a little disappointed there were no noodles included, and I noticed the person next to me got a noticeably bigger portion of rice than I did. Not a huge deal since I'm cutting carbs anyway, but still something you notice. I did still pass him a $20 tip because the chef did cook everything properly, even if the vibe wasn't there. (Please be aware to tip your hibachi chef separately from the server!) My sister tried a few things too and said the avocado rolls were actually really fresh and stood out. She also got shrimp and filet mignon hibachi and felt it was decent overall, just underwhelming. She mentioned the dessert situation was odd too, which I agree, only plain cheesecake on display that didn't look too appealing. I'd would have liked some fried matcha icecream or something dang. Service was okay but there was a bit of a language barrier with the waitress which made communication a little tricky. The interior also felt pretty minimal and not very decorated, which added to the lack of atmosphere. Overall, it wasn't bad, just very average. I'm used to hibachi in NY and CT where the experience is way more lively and engaging. If I'm in the area again, I wouldn't go back.

I'd like to tell you to stay away. To go and choose another spot. To completely avoid this place…read more Why! Because it was simply the best experience I've had with Korean food and personnel since I've started trying out this cuisine type over the past year. I was joined by my friend who ordered the bulgogi beef (which I did not get the opportunity to taste because it was so good he forgot to offer me a try) as well as a kimbap(?) as an appetizer. I tried a piece of the app and it was scrumptious. He said his entree was spicy but ok the best way. He was content with the portion, the taste, and the plating. I did warn him that most folks who come here do end up needing to bring food home. Boy, was that right. So, be kind and bring your own container(s) so you can delight in your leftovers another day. They do have takeout containers but they do not offer take out. You must dine in. So, please do keep this in mind when coming here. It makes sense because otherwise the transit time to take it offsite to eat your meal elsewhere is just not the same to get the full experience they are giving here along with their culinary expertise. The food came out fresh and with a little bit of wait. Patience may be required but it's so worth the wait. What did I have you are asking ? Well, my first ever japchae. Non-spicy option for me. The way the noodles were, I can't describe it. It's a whole fun experience on top of the goodness of the dish. The place has some modest touches to let you know what sort of cuisine they serve. There is a kimbap (?) bar area and a few tables. I imagine it can fill up quickly at lunch or dinner. I highly suggest arriving early to ensure you don't feel rushed. Definitely support this restaurant, make sure it has a longevity they deserve and continue to educate us - ok me- on the deliciousness of Korean cuisine. Of course, I took home my meal leftovers.
