I believe they stayed open the entire time. We were so blown away with how well the school was sanitized daily. It felt like the right place to enroll my son as an infant. Comparing our experience with two daycares my daughter attended.. at Goddard my children are rarely sick or sent home. Like both my kids missed no more than 3 days in 3 years. Goddard really values keeping kids healthy and safe. I enrolled my son around 10 months old and it was a great transition. The teachers in the infant room were so pleasant and truly are like family. They were very accommodating with special requests about milk and nap time. Speaking of communication, I give the admin staff 5 stars with how well they run the front office. They have exceptional follow up and communication-daily reminders, photos, reports and weekly newsletters. I also appreciate the diversity of the staff and families. As a mom of color, I really love that. There have been many special events to bring the community together. My favorite events have been Halloween parade, the carnival, the "prom" for graduating class and Mother's Day/Father's Day appreciation. So much thought goes into all these celebrations and it's special. Once older, my kids were constantly entertained with art, yoga, music, water play, so many fun things. Always tired from a fun day. While the tuition may not be the cheapest -- you get what you pay for. It's well worth it for the safety, health and well being of our children. I highly recommend!

But the price point, paired with the lack of color, excess of whites and grays and somber feel of the facility didn't scream childcare to me. Felt like I was walking into a prep school for much older kids and couldn't envision my 6 month old enrolled here. Location is great for Montclair residents but in the same vein, they applied the Montclair-esq pricing...the curriculum for the various age groups was also underwhelming in my opinion. My sentiment upon exiting was "meh"

My child had such an amazing experience, had such lovely humans love and care for her and received nothing less than great education during her time there. However, if you ever have an issue that you need to discuss beyond the center leadership team please let Maura Ryan be the last person you speak to. Unfortunately I had a tuition related matter to discuss in which the Center Director believed deserved to be escalated to her boss (Maura) and what a horrible experience that was. Before even meeting Maura had made on 2 separate occasions the same comment stating "I don't know what she expects to happen. I am going to help her" and unfortunately was not very mindful of her surroundings when making the comment. How sad and disappointing to hear that an individual who has never met you and knows nothing about you AND works for Bright Horizons FAMILY SOLUTIONS already had no intention of giving you a solution. Nonetheless, I gave her the benefit of the doubt , thanked her for meeting with me and explained the situation. Unfortunately, as expected Maura was of no help.Instead, she presented a very condescending attitude, smirked after every word/point I tried to make, constantly spoke over me and eventually told me that effective Monday (this conversation was yesterday, Thursday 01/23) my daughter would no longer be allowed in the center if tuition was not paid in full KNOWING that the meeting was about the error that someone on her team made with my tuition. I understand business is business and that just like all of us who have our children in child care, she has a job to follow. Making me waste my time meeting with her knowing she was not going to do anything to help me (keeping in mind she had already said this) , smirking and giggling when it was very evident that I was extremely upset about the situation , dismissing everything I had to say and taking 0 accountability as to how this has been going on for 3 months and she has once again done NOTHING to even try to help me hence why this is the first time I spoke to this individual in the 3 months this has been occurring is absolutely not part of the job she is expected to follow. I will never tell you to not bring your children here instead I would encourage it because again, the center, the staff, the love and care is amazing and truly what made me so sad to have to wake my child up from her nap to take her away from the place that she was so happy and thriving in all because Maura instead of saying "let's come up with a solution" or "let me try to see what I can do to help you" told me my child could not be at the center. However, I will say if you ever have an issue that for whatever reason cannot be solved through the center leadership team, let Maura be the last person you speak to. My experience with Bright Horizons has always been exceptional but it really upset me to see that someone like this represents a company that is so faithful to finding solutions for families.

The staff isn't just professional and knowledgeable -- they are incredibly loving, warm, and deeply committed to every child in their care. Our daughter lights up every morning when we tell her it's time for school. That kind of joy can't be faked -- it's the result of being in an environment where she feels safe, celebrated, and genuinely loved. The teachers treat each child like family, noticing the little things, comforting them when needed, and encouraging their growth every step of the way. They consistently go above and beyond -- whether it's through thoughtful activities, creative learning experiences, or just taking the time to share updates that show how well they know and care for our child. It means the world to us to know she is not only learning and growing, but doing so surrounded by people who truly care. We're endlessly grateful to the Little Explorers team for creating such a nurturing and inspiring space. They are helping raise kind, curious, and confident little humans -- and we couldn't imagine a better place for our daughter to begin her journey.

The center is phenomenal - clean, well-organized, strict with their sick policy, and to top it off, offers great hours (6:30a-7:30p). They also feed the kiddos all of their meals and snacks (made in-house, and are organic and healthy). Part of the curriculum includes music classes, language lessons, STEAM play, and the center has also hosted a few holiday parties and parades, including a mini music recital for the parents! Another perk are the number of cameras, which have been such a relief when feeling anxious and wanting to check in on the children. The teachers also use an app to update parents on the kids' activities during the day, with some fun photos, too. The staff are also very kind and caring, the directors are amazing; I could go on and on! So far, my kids AND my hubs and I are huge fans. We can easily say NG would be very highly recommended.

From the moment we communicated via email with Ms Anastasia to the time we went for a tour with Ms Stella we were so pleased with the overall experience. (And she is kid who just went through a lot of traumas with unorganized fire drills or random alarm going on and many unqualified teachers with the previous daycare and my daughter was so traumatized to the point that she couldn't sleep at night and would have night mares and cry for going to the school which she has been attending since 9mths). NGCL has met all our expectation and delivered beyond expectation up till now, the teachers are well qualified and give close attention to the kids. You have camera accessibility to their class and outside all through out the day, they send regular updates on the app during the day. The school provides fresh food (organic and nut free) everyday to the kids. They have languages classes as well as sports/ dance classes on certain days. They follow a well organized programs which helps parents like me to balanced out my time. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

Do not enroll your kids in this daycare…read more I enrolled my son in this daycare few months ago and had a very terrible experience. The teachers in my son's classroom were very rude and irresponsible. There were two instances where I went to pick my son and found him in wet clothes. His teacher did not even bother to change his clothes (God knows for how long he was sitting in those wet clothes). I don't understand how come his teacher did not realize that he was sitting in wet clothes if I could figure it out in few seconds after seeing my son. When I asked the teacher why he was sitting in wet clothes she did not even care to apologize. In other few instances, I found my son's shoe laces untied and his teachers did not bother to help him tie the shoe laces. Also his teachers were so rude, at several instances I have noticed them screaming loudly at the kids. Thank god , I have recently enrolled my son in an another daycare.
