Today I went to Rainbows in Green Acres Mall, store number 00253. There was a nice sale going on, I was shopping for my bday vacation, so I decided hey let me get a dress or something. I found this really pretty skirt for $9.99 and I found a shirt to match that was on a $3 rack. The rack had many different colors of the shirt that I found so I paid no mind to the ticket price. I'm thinking if there's an abundance of an item on one particular rack it can't be a mistake. I went to the check out and the shirt rang up as $5, I told the cashier that it was on the $3 rack and she said to me, "well it's $5 the rack says select items!" My response was, " I'm going to go check bc I'm pretty sure the rack said $3 and nothing more." The cashier then responded, " it's $5 but you can go ahead I'll be right here when you come back!" I knew the rack didn't say select items but I went back to make sure and just like I knew it, the rack said $3 and that is all. There was another woman at the register doing other work so I went to her in hopes that she would come see what I was talking about, being the cashier that was assisting me before didn't even attempt to check it out. I begin to explain my problem to the woman and she stops me short and says, "what is it exactly that you want!" I told her that the shirt was on the $3 rack with multiple others of the same shirt. She checked the price, of course it rang up $5, then she said to me, "it's $5!" By now I'm extremely frustrated because not only are they not trying to see what I'm talking about, they're being extremely rude to a customer. I asked her to come see and when she came to see she showed me a shirt the was the same color slightly different in style and said, " this is $3 the one you have is $5!" I showed her that there were more shirts of the style that I chose on that $3 rack. She again said, "it's $5!" And walked away. Now I understand that sometimes customers will pick up an item and put it back in the wrong place, but there was multiple shirts of that same style on the $3 so if in fact the shirt was $5 it was the stores mistake. If an item is advertised incorrectly the store should honor the price advertised, instead the employees were very rude to me. I ended up finding a different shirt on that same rack that was $3 and purchased it but I was so upset at the way I was being treated. When I went to cash out I began to tell that woman and the cashier who was assisting me how nasty they were and how that was very bad customer service, I asked to speak to the manager and was told the lady who went to see what I was talking about on the rack was the manager. She then says, "miss if it's that serious to you and you needed the $5 all you had to do was ask!" She said this in front of other customers then the cashier said, "do you want it? If so can you pay already there are people waiting in line!" I walked into that store today excited about finding a pretty outfit for my birthday and left out feeling low. The so called manager, who said her name was Onita, made me feel like I couldn't afford $5 so I was making a big deal about it being on the $3 rack. That was not the case and even if it was that is no way to treat a customer spending money in your store, I am a paying customer giving your store business and I was treated like I came into the store begging and stealing. That is absolutely inappropriate and I will be contacting corporate and the Better Business Bureau I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE TO CHOSE A STAR BUT SINCE IT'S REQUIRED I CHOSE 1 STAR! Attached is a photo of the "manager" Onita as she said her name was, the rack with the price and the multiple items of the style I was trying to purchase read more
