They worked efficiently and completed everything in just one day, which honestly exceeded our expectations. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to communicate with both Juan and Raul. They were responsive, patient with my questions, and very open to making adjustments to fit exactly what we wanted. I never felt brushed off or rushed, which is rare. I'm the general manager of a large scale HOA, and we had 10 wooden patio covers and trellises that needed work. They helped us get rid of two, and they replaced the other eight with Elitewood Ultra. Several of these were large, curved covers and one was a large gazebo with a gabled roof, which required replacement of the asphalt singled roof as well. Dave did the initial estimation for me, and Louie mostly took over from there, but everyone at Take Cover was knowledgeable and easy to work with. They got the permits for our project with relative ease, and the communication and scheduling were great throughout the completion of the project. I'm so looking forward to not having to repaint them every 4-6 years or worry about any termites like our old wooden covers! It's been several months now, and they are performing and looking great. We had to accommodate a unique roofline and Eric helped figure it out, though it seems that the materials are best suited for a straight-forward, plug-and-play installation with minimal customization. The pricing was competitive. We opted to have six can lights, a ceiling fan (the fan was provided by us and they installed it), and two outlets installed. After signing the contract, the installation occurred roughly 4-6 weeks out due to their full installation schedule, so plan accordingly and book as soon as you feel comfortable if you know you want to go with them. The installation team (five workers total, led by Jesus) was quick, efficient, and respectful. They installed the cover in one day and left the area clean prior to departing. Here are a couple of minor "issues" we encountered... one post is not completely square/perpendicular to the nearby patio edge, so this is a bit more obvious to see, but not terrible. The covered outlets they installed were standard indoor style. I chose to replace them with GFCI outlets (cost me $40 total at Home Depot) since they are outdoors and one has a fountain plugged into it. I would recommend Paradise Patio Covers to friends and neighbors and would definitely use them again.

All is not well that ends well. I ordered a large sun sail for my backyard from Alion via Etsy. …read more The custom-size I ordered was based upon the recommendations of Alion. I had given them the distance between the four mounting poles. Upon receiving the pkg, I removed it. It was huge. Both myself and my handiman were concerned by the size, but he mounted it with the pulley system he had devised so that I would not have to climb a 10-ft ladder to take it down. (I had told Alion before I ordered the shade that we would be using a pulley system.). The shade sagged down to about 8 ft from the ground, obviously too large. Over the next few days, the loosely-woven fabric stretch and sagged more. I contacted Alion via phone and their chat-customer-support website. After much back-and-forth via phone, email, and website-chat, AND a complete lack of respect, enduring insults and gaslighting, it was only resolved when I got Etsy Customer Support (via another thread of chat-customer-support) involved. A very convoluted process. Fortunately, I had more-than-adequate documentation (photos and chat threads) before, during, and after installation. Etsy ruled that Alion should give me a complete refund and I return the sun sail, which I did. I did receive the complete refund but have not forgotten the rudeness, insults, gaslighting of Alion. Very poor business practice. I have hesitated to write this review because I have no interest in hearing their fake apologies nor additional gaslighting (If you haven't yet watched the old blk/white movie, do so. Itis a classic!)
