I have been seeing a chiropractor for the past 3 weeks for moderate back pain. Yesterday, I woke up with severe pain, so bad that I couldn't walk or even fully breathe. I went to the chiropractor, they did their typical adjustment, which includes contorting my body into positions unmentionable and then trying to force the pain away. This review for Dr. Hong Liu is several years in the making. Nearly eight years ago I suffered from a job that took its toll on my hands. I often woke up and could not open my hands for several minutes and would have pain throughout the day. Rainbow at Rainbow Acupuncture Clinic is pretty awesome!! I went in for my sciatic pain and after 1 treatment I was feeling so much better and after 3 treatments I was pretty much back to normal. Rainbow was a great acupuncturist. I had Plantar Fasciitis on my right foot which is been going on for about three months. I'm a nurse in the ER and I thought acupuncture was Hocus Pocus After trying splints,boots , compression,ice and exercise, nothing worked. I work on the computer all day long, and woke up one day with really bad carpal tunnel symptoms in both wrists and hands up to my elbow. I couldn't even hold the mouse or type. I decided to take a week off and try acupuncture for the first time. I immediately felt better after the first visit, after the acupuncture, she does something called Gua Sha, and you can feel the pain/discomfort being released. Some people are scared of acupuncture, it sounds intimidating, but I was relaxed and I actually fell asleep. When I first started going to Rainbow Acupuncture I had been unable to walk without assistance from my husband or a cane for about 8 months due to the pain in my knees and hip (and I am still in my 30's). My body is very stubborn! It does not respond at all to medications, and icing it doesn't reduce swelling or pain either. I was going to physical therapy until I couldn't stand it any longer due to the fact that my knees would continue to swell, which was only increasing the pain. I had never tried acupuncture before and wasn't really sure what to think about it. I did believe that it works for people, but since nothing usually works on me, I was skeptical.
